Normal speed - do we need it? - Get rid of it - please

that's exactly what i am saying !
it all depends on your computers !
cause for my part i have a way better time playing with NORMAL then on TURBO !

TURBO = MORE lag, Less responsive keys, lots of defeats !
NORMAL = LESS lag, better responsives command, Lots of win

and that doesn't count the fact that even in turbo mode in the ARACDES you have less time to do the normal commands !
people you should try to slow the pace down a bit meaning you aren't necessarely have to do the command faster then the speed of light !
try taking your time to do them and you'll see the game response is way better.

it's all depend on your computer not on your TYPING SPEED !

let me take it straight ok !
NORMAL = 30/30 FPS
TURBO = 60/60 FPS
conclusion:
TURBO = SMOOTHER, but SLOWER PROCESSING, meaning MORE CHOPPY ANIMATION because your comp tryes to follow !
NORMAL = LESS Processing, LESS CHOPPY animation, better time following action

try and think people, difference between FPS and LAG there is much more to FPS problem then we have with lag !

I agree,people with older(slower) processers might need to use normal or
1. computer will freeze because the graphics driver cant handle 60/60 frames per second
2. and yes lag is reffering to the bandwith(and you lag if you dont have a high enough bandwith)(the game needs more "information" then u can put out.)instead of a clean flow it is limited and if packets are sent to your computer and ur computer cant recieve them because your bandwith is to slow it will wait for that information to arrive b4 it can move the character on the screen! :angryfire: wow off the subject sry.well is every1 clear with fps(frames per second)and lag(not enough bandwith)please email me if you agree with me! i need more (computer wizzs to talk 2)dellwiz@msn.com

How about instead of making Normal the default mode, how about we make Turbo the default mode? It makes it much easier.

getting rid of TURBO is just asking for the PEOPLES to BITCH more, but making the TURBO mode the default is acceptable as it keeps the normal mode for thsoe SLOWER COMPUTERS !

i was here from SEPTEMBER 2001, have seen the game as much as anyone who was here a year ago, and i played the game on almost all kind of machine !

i think I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT HERE !
plus, TMYAPP as said it himself about a year ago when TURBO and NORMAL happenned !

TMYAPP:"NORMAL is for LOW-END USERS, those with high-end computers will see the game runs slowers, thus making TURBO better for THEM !"

conclusion:
LOW-END USERS = NORMAL is better
HIGH-END USERS = TURBO is better

i dont care i win with turbo and normal no matter what. i win with turbo and normal sinces i have dsl. my computer nevers has any problem at all. i never even had lag at all. not ven onces. some times i lose but mosty i win.

well sheesh, I didn't ask for this topic to turn into a flam session, but I do agree with TarkanX and SSJKarma about making Turbo mode the default. That would make things a lot better.

I can understand now why Turbo is better for ppl with faster computers and Normal speed is better for slower, so we can all stop with this discussion now. Thanks for the replies all!
