The scoring system needs to be tweaked

thats exactly my point zak...if your 190th place it is conceivable you could move in the top 5 with 3 wins in a row against the top guy..and trust me, Ive had exactly that happen. You should have to at least earn your way to the top...I agree that it shouldn't be like before where the guy who played the most is the champ, but theres got to be a way to earn your way there...
With the pt system as it is now, every time you play someone ahead of you, and beat them, the difference b/w you and him is automatically cut in half...beat the first place guy 3 games in a row and youre guaranteed to be right up behind him in the standings...when I first started out, I remember many times when I was like 60-7 (or somthing like that), and could look down and see that the second place guy was like 12-7, and I knew that 3 of his wins and 3 of his losses came from me. Yet he was still right up behind me.
I do agree though that their isn't a way of knowing what place the guy your facing is in, so that could be shitty if you play the 1st place guy without knowing and loose 100 pts, just like that...
Maybe there should be a way to know what place the guy is in before you challenge him.
but as is, the scorering system is unbalanced, and needs to be tweaked.
