I see a huge problem with it. I can tell people are going to try and do a pause at every moment on the fight for they won't lose. Just another way to add more cheapness in their style of play.

If this idea can get any better, both parties would have to agree on the pause. So in other words, let say you want to pause. You press a button to request for pause, and if the opponent agrees on it, then he would press the button as well and give the dude 15 seconds of pause. Then the game can continue even if both are not ready.

Or maybe instead of pause we have a call out like the "Tag Requested" call out. You can press start or in our case "1", and it would say "HOLD ON", then the person can have time to tell you something inside the chat, and tell you to wait a bit till he/she comes back.
