Yeah... it's a pretty interesting story.. but if you're planning to see the movie.. then better prepare yourself. It's pretty graphic.
but all in all, it's a pretty nice saga in the age of slavery. I'm presently doing a report on the "Amistad" some of you might have heard it.. but it has a similar background. It's pretty interesting to know that even during the time of slavery, a type of "enslavement" was actually illegal. As in, once a man (african in most cases) was born free, then he should be free. Of course this was after 1776 and when the first wave of the end of slavery began :biggrin:
