You think you have a bad time playing the game? I used to just plain suck, but now I have an even worse, more embarrasing (sp) problem.

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Dan pulls out a little markerboard and draws two graphs: y=-2^x and y=-2^-x. He then labels the x-axis, "skill of opponent," and the y-axis, "performance of person." He then labels the first diagram, "Normal rate," and the second, "Dan's rate."</span>

Okay, see here, on the "Normal Rate" graph. This is how most people react as the skill level of the opponents' they face goes up. The person has more trouble, and the person's performance goes down because it isn't as easy to win against better players. Understand so far? Good.

Now, if you look at the graph labeled "Dan's rate", then you will note an odd curve. For some reason, my performance really, really sucks against newbies, cheap fighters, and all-around bad players. I'm still researching into the cause of that. But then... see here, as the skill level of my opponents go up, I do better! I win oftentimes, and I put on an exciting show for whoever I play against. Now then...

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Dan puts the cap on his markers and puts away his materials.</span>

Who here can explain my odd trend in my fighting capabilities? It would be appreciated.
