Toc's of old... - *memories*

you think the hype of TOC 4 is high enough ?

well i sure remember the first one !
TOC, aka TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS !
people were all like...
!!!!!!!! CHAMPIONS !!!!!!!
THERE'S A PRICE !!!!!!!!

people ran for the registration, that's why there was so much people to join it !
the first tournament to have a PRIZE for the winner, and it was definetely worth the tourney !

unfortunetely, there was two main reason why i didn't entered in it !

not the fact it had only ryu.
but the fact that TarkanX and basically the whole top 10 was there ! that was too much for my little rank 300 (about the last person in the rank) was nothing compared to those great fighters !

the second reason i didn't entered...
my lag... even thou i was playing at school on their T1 line.
at my house it was a totally different thing.
my phone modem had trouble keeping up with the game, had a lot of sync lost and the worst, was when i was able to play the game. i had so much lag, plus the fact i had trouble with my old AMD 500mhz... it all made it impossible for me to actually have any chances !

i also feared TarkanX...
for he was the only true great fighter i asked to fight !
i gived myself a challenge "try to keep up until at least 30 seconds had past !" all this because i heard he could kill an opponent in 3 seconds ! was i a foul to think it could have been true ! i holded up until the counter reached 27 ! he was also one of the few that wasn't HADOKEN THROWERS like the rest, he was like me and relyed a lot on HAND TO HAND moves !

anyway...
that was one of the major reason i didn't join in !

TOC 2 came too...
same commotion as the first one, but now they were all saying...
"you beated me in the first TOC now it will be my turn to kill you !"
i didn't joined for the very same reasons as the first. except my rank was even lower cause of all the people who recently joined.

TOC 3
was my first and last attempt at joining a tourney !
i was about to join when suddently my computer crashed.
had to miss this one !
but i still knew i would get beaten easily, still i was for the first time in history of this game, i kicked my ass once and ofr all and decided to join and proves myself what i was made of.

but the stupid computer chrashed on me...

TOC 4 is now coming...
my computer is running fine !
had my old AMD 500mhz...
now i have that P4 1700mhz
and there is the fact that my modem give me a ping of only 250-500 when it used to give me over 3000 at all time !
i'm all set-up, i'll guaranty that i'll be a good challenge even if i lose in first round !
