All I said was that Zangief wasn't the most popular SF character. I never said he wasn't any good.
In XMvSF, his super is the most powerful in the game. It may be hard to do, but it does some serious damage. Also, he has the easiest infinite in the game (in my opinion). A lot of people just don't know how to use him. He may be slow, but there are ways around that. I just jump a lot to get close when I play with him (and if you notice, the computer A.I. does that with Zangief, as well). I rarely ever use the same characters, either. I usually do a random select (unless I'm going up against someone really good, then I pull out my best characters).
