story mode, pick the players you want to use then on the first ''stage'' press the number 1 and touche you can try out moves without being hit by the ai,
but the wins you pick up in story mode will not be added to your ''record'' therefore they won't help you unlock the lockable characters

Yes,but then the AI wears out and dies. And that is no fun cause then you don't get to practice anymore.
