What is the importance of "induces seizures" option? I pick it and nothing new happens.

i hate to sound redundant , but what is the purpose of induce seizures anyway? it's cool and all but does it slow down or speed up the game or connection in any way? or just to look cool..cuz look cool it does. but...uh...i dont get it

it simply looks cool and causes more lag... therefore seizures is a fancy option that sucks!!!
