I get kinda tired when people slam on Spiral. She might not be the best tag partner in the game under certain circumstances, but if used right, she can be devastating.
You already know that Spiral can teleport you and your adversary around the arena. This seems useless at first, but it's great for when you're stuck in some moves, like the Berserker Barrage. Simply teleport away! Also, she works very well against Ryu. (I usually play Ryu.) There's no doubt that you've been caught in his Hadoken super and been unable to avoid damage. If you high jump a lot, then there's a chance that you could sail overhead as Ryu initiates his super! If you're jumping forward, then try to get behind Ryu and use a super of your own, like the Berserker Barrage X or the Hurricane Kick super. If you're jumping backward, and you have Spiral as a Tag partner, then use her before you hit the Hadoken beam (block when you touch down!) and if all works well, you'll be teleported out of harm's way! (Of course, this scenerio may seem unlikely, but it's happened to me quite a bit, so I've had plenty of practice.) The one thing that makes this so nifty is that the teleport usually sticks you close to your opponent, hopefully behind. If that's the case, get in a good attack before he's teleported away! This works for any fighter against any foe! Now, if the two fighters are on the very edges of the screen, Spiral might not work very well against the Hadoken. But, you should stay in close at all times anyway, IMO, so that should not be a problem, unless Ryu is on the left or right end of the arena. A last note: This plan is NOT foolproof. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but it usually does work with me, and it can easily turn the tide of battle. So I don't want anyone flaming me for giving out a flawed plan. I warned you! Don't let that keep you from trying it, though! I'm also inviting other people to share their strategies, so if you think you're good, prove it! (Edited by Kahnol at 3:11 pm on Nov. 25, 2001) |

Cireisnot: I think that Spiral moves your enemy, but your opponent's sudden moving might be due to lag...I'm not sure, but I am working on it!

i like spiral ...
it took me a few days (or weeks ?? bah.. i foget now... been telling the story so much l8tely) to come up with an idea for her... i wanted a unique helper.. not just another blanka or guile.... so.. it came to me.. SPRIAL !! it seemed perfect !! she would switch both of the players !!! well.. it didn't work so well.. so.. now...she just teleports YOU to the other side of the screen (depending of where u are) some interesting combo's (personal fav's of mine) are: spiral + drill-claw (as soon as the match starts) sprial + shinkuu-hurricane (it's as good as it gets if it connects) |

All of you say these things but if you knew all the key combinations to choose your tag partner would she really be 1st on your list or even in the top 3. She is useless now, now that you cant use her when doing a super and she may only be good when fighting wolverine( and.....not a lot of ppl choose him). Bottom line is she is shit.
