Well my first post on this board of an actual strategy(I think), so let me tell you how to beat characters:
to use Ryu against:
Wolverine: if you want to be cheap and just "win the fight", then projeciles is key, if youve got a helper like spiral, or a good one like psylocke, then use the helper if you get caught in a berserker barrage, always step away from the wolverine player because wolverine gets crazy when you least expect it.
Chunli(and yes this is the right way to spell it, not chun li with a space or hyphen): shes possibly the eaiest character to fight in the game(by averaging fights out against her statisticly), just use projectiles against her(if your cheap), and use a shinku hadoken for long raged projectiles to keep her at bay, most of her moves are easily dodgeable like the kiko ken, and the kiko-shou.
Ryu: The most chosen character in this game, as of right now. The first thign you need to do against a Ryu player is to do a fire ball battle(if you have fought Sagat in SF2, and SFA series at level 8, then youll know what I mean). once you start to lose the battle, or you are winning, do a shinku hadoken, then super jump to your Ryu player and hit him with combo like attacks, not the fancy specials. And if almost always the ryu player is knocked in the air, and you keep knocking him in the air, then once he gets down on the ground, he'll teleport to the other side, and hit you with a shinkuu hadoken. So dodge this by super jumping again. eventually youll see a pattern with Ryu and anticipate it(reminds me of the SF one days against Retsu).
I've got a completely(at least almost *hint hint*) different strategy against Ryu....
I will post tomorrow(possibly with a strategy for wolverine
