Increasing Damage?!

Sometimes I fight people and when they launch a Shinku Hadoken, it takes out 3 quarters of my health. When I do it, it only takes out a little more than 1 quarter. I once asked my opponent (Raven) how he did it, he explained to me but it still didn't work. So if someone is kind enough to post a detailed explaination of how to increase the damage, Thank you very much! (I may be showing my weak point here..... crap :shocked

Da match I just lost was totaly laggy!
He kicked once an' his fot stayed in da air and I kept getting rapidly hurt!
I couldn't move!

That sux

incs one hyper the hurricane kick, he hit me with it and it lagged some bad it stayed on for like the whole fight and just drained my energy
