What this topic has to do is what the world warriors tournament setting should be at, for example, should we start off with a preliminary with divisions, or not with divisions, then after tally up the points, then rank the players to fight whoever? Or should we have it like ToC1, where we just have 2 divisions, place who fights who by their rank, or should it be another straightforward tournament with round robins? And Remember, DO NOT VOTE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS TOPIC, I can't stress that enough, people never read the main post to get a perfect idea of the topic, and end up making a stupid mistake.
Preliminary format: If we chose the preliminary format, then this will have to come first in tournaments, this is good, so we don't have arguments about fighting against someone they dont want to(but I dont know why you wouldnt want to fight them, or else you wouldnt even be in the tournament in the first place). This is where me might see what true skill is, the first ranked player might not be the best in the preliminaries, and someone ranked at 4500 might even be at the top of the preliminaries.
The bad thing about preliminary formats is that it takes a very long time to get all the matches up, so I have to put up a date in which the preliminaries have to end, but then most of the users will have tallied 0-0, meaning they didn't fight at all, and this is even if I send them e-mails. Ewalk had preliminaries, and his tournament was cancelled, so I'm fearing that this is a bad thing(only due to the lack of players actually battling in a fight).
Round Robin format: Single elimination, double elimination, or Bye-round, whatever it is, this is the classic format of any tournament, be it the NBA, the NHL, the MLB, Tennis, Chess, this is where there is a bracket put up, and you have to play against someone that is on the same bracket as you.
Ranked: If we have the RRF ranked, then it'll be by the players top scores, so the matches will be which will be really hard to do, since It'll take a long time to get which rank the players are, and ranks easily change within the minute, I'm not too sure about this, even though ToC1 didn't have much of a problem with this. But wait!!! I have the search button! This might not be a problem after all!
Unranked: People are randomly chosen on who fights who so even you're rank 1, you might fight a rank 2(saying that there are 8 people in the tournament), so it wouldn't be the traditional 1 vs 8, and 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, etc.... This would be good since it will only take about 5-10 minutes to sum up the brackets.
Please vote seriously, and like a professional, I don't want any posts that will offend others, or posts that have nothing to do with the topic, thank you for your time.
