Ever have this happen during the game?
you throw 3 supers and it does NO damage? its the magical word.. LAG  *But* I think theres also a new culprit at work here...its something to do with the animation. let me explain what I think is going on with some in game examples ever notice that sometimes you'll kick a guy and it'll look like hes halfway across the screen, only to reappear in front of you? When you kick him, your end of the game fullly animates what it thinks should be happening. However, because the information being sent isn't instantaneous, you havent received whats going on in his version of the game yet. Which means sometimes the guy will look like hes right in front of you when in reality, after your animnation has finished, hes moved somewhere else. The info on where he is and what hes doing just hasnt arrived on your comp yet, or isn't processed until after your animation has finished. It works exactly the same with the supers..."your game" thinks he's been hit, when in reality he's somewhere else. Once the animation for the super is over the response from his connection kicks in, and surprise, hes had no damage taken away.. Your biggest give away that the timing between u 2 is off, is if it looks like hes just standing there doing nothing...If your playing a good player that would never happen! Just remember this little nugget of info. If you do something (it can be anything), and none of his power is getting drained, WATCH OUT, because hes not where you think he is, or what you see isn't whats really happening. If this happens, your best bet is to super jump and let the game catch up to. Once that happens you can get a reading on where he actually is, or what hes doing. btw...this happens to BOTH ppl at the same time, so its not like one of you is getting the shaft...You both have to put up with it... This is just my little working theory, you'll have to get the definitive word from TMyApp himself. |
