Decyphering - For those who wanna get better at gfx...

i got an idea how we can all imrpove in making gfx... by learning from each other... im sure u guys think rating and commenting is enuff but actually every1 has theyr own oppinion in wut a good banner looks like so i hav a better idea... Decyphering a banner. here how it works: sum1 posts a banner and provides any pics used... there would b pics not made by himself... all the rest has t ob his/her own handy work... the rest of the ppl who reply have to say how he made it... (ie. erased there, smudged here... lowered opacity... added scnalines blah blah) and the creater has to cofirm with them and show them how he made it so other can find out that technique... ill start with my own example:

as you can see this is a banner i made for mohammed and its really ez 2 do, very simple...
the pic i used is:

first i started out by placing that picture on a transparent 330 x 90 document... i then rotated it about 45 degrees Clockwise to make it so straight and then put it on the right and then carefully remove the gren stuff around ken... then i picked an orange colour for for the background box thingy and a light yellow for the other color (idk wut u call it but its right under the zoom tool its those 2 boxes on top of each other) and then i made a new layer right under the pic of kens head and went Filter> Render> Clouds... clouds come randomly so u might not get the same result then on the same layer with the clouds i went Image> Adjustments> Equalize.... this gives it a more equal balance of colors... now use the smudge tool and go carefully over so u clean the edged of the ken pic and mix it with the bg... now opened a new document with dimensions 3 x 3 and i filled the top left corner, bottom center, and right center with black... the rest with a light gray... and then clicked Edit> Define Pattern and gave it a name and hit OK. then go back to the window with ken... make a new layer on top of the ken pic and go Edit> Fill... and for Type click Pattern and then find the pattern we jus made... use Soft Light as the Mode and use like a 20 or 30 percentage of opacity and hit OK... its gonna make those diagonal scan lines... then on top of the scan lines make another layer with the text Mohammed in the font Dark Crystal which you can get at http://dafont.com/en and then once your done go Layer> Layer Style and click Stroke... use 1 pxl and the colour should be grayish more darker... then go to Bevel and Emboss and make the size 0 and a lighter shadow instead of the black 1... then make a new layer and type the text 786 with a small pixely font and use same Layer Style as you did with Mohammed... finally make a new layer and select pencil tool at pixel 1 with black color and press and hold Shift and click on the very edge of the border ( judge with your eyes or zoom in ) and click and hold and go from side 2 side even ifur hand shakes its gonna b straight as long as you hold down shift... do same with all 4 sides then pick an orangey color and do the same but jus lower then the black lines and then another lines of black jus below the orangey ones and clean up the messes like if you go over with the lines... and then your done. dus that make sense?
