Seriously, if you do not know anything about the NFL draft, don't post in here. Especially with stuff like "OMG what if Mike Williams and Braylon Edwards were to play against each other? And remember to use your imagination.." -_-
---------- NFL Draft Anyways, I think this year's NFL draft had the most talent in 70 years of NFL draft history. But the talent may have fallen down on wrong teams. QB Alex Smith out of Utah goes to the crappy San Francisco 49ers. Seriously, he is a way overrated player. The kid had no arm strength. They overrate his skills but underrate his Wide Receiver skills. 49ers are a very cheap team and are most likely going to sign him for a bigger contract than Eli Manning had with the Giants. The 49ers seriously don't know what they are getting themselves into. WR Braylon Edwards out of Michigan goes to Cleveland Browns. As much as I want to beleive that the Browns are going to rebuild and are going to end up in the playoffs, they still don't have a QB. Seriously, is it worth having a WR like Braylon Edwards if you don't have a decent QB that can actually throw the ball with good timing to Braylon's hands? Braylon should have been better off with the Miami Dolphins. Will explain why later. WR Mike Williams out of USC goes to Detroit Lions. How many star receivers does a team really freaking need? The Lions already have Roy Williams, Carlos Rodgers, and now Mike Williams. Also, they have a crappy QB named Joey Harrington who can't throw a paper ball inside a trash can. They should have used their pick for a running back like Carnell Williams or Cedric Benson. Maybe pick up somebody for their defense instead. I remember the thanksgiving game they had last year they lost by a gazillion points against the Colts. RB Ronnie Brown out of Auburn goes to Miami Dolphins. Seriously, so many people criticize the fact that I criticize his skill, but I think I have every right to do so. He lacks college experience and playing time. If the dolphins really wanted a running back, they should have gone with somebody like Cedric Benson who was a full time starter and never was benched. Ronnie Brown ended up as Carnell's back up. He had his little chance of glory but he still was just the backup. Why would you pick him as the NO. 2 spot overall? Seriously, the dolphins were thinking about picking up Braylon Edwards and they pick up the backup RB from Auburn. QB Aaron Rodgers out of Cal goes to Green Bay Packers. Out of all media hype about him being drafted 1 overall he ends up in 24. HAHAHA. Seriously, if you don't see something wrong about Green Bay drafting a QB in the first round of the draft, you must be on drugs. Is this your way of saying that this is Brett Favre's last year? Are you trying to drive Brett out of Green Bay and force him to retire after this year? When Brett Favre leaves Green Bay, it will never be the same and Aaron Rodgers will never fill his shoes. There were alot of questionable draft picks. Some like RB Maurice Claurett going to the Denver Broncos yet he hasn't played a football game in like 2 freakin years. Just alot of talent going in wrong places. ---------- College Recruitment Now I am a Miami dolphins Fan. Have been one since I was 4. I was thinking the whole time throughout the draft "Damn what the hell is Nick Saban doing with the Dolphins Draft". I thought it was going to be another bad year for the dolphins since he didn't even think about recruiting a freaking QB which we are lacking. Then I check the news and it said that Nick Saban had recruited 4 other college players who have he talked to behind the scenes. Quote:
The Dolphins have signed five more college free agents, according to media and college reports -- Iowa linebacker George Lewis, West Virginia tailback Kay-Jay Harris, Northwest Oklahoma State linebacker/defensive end Van Brown, Oregon State safety Mitch Meeuwsen, and Missouri cornerback Shirdonya Mitchell and tight end Victor Sesay.
The 6-foot, 229-pound Harris struggled with injuries while with the Mountaineers but had three 100-yard rushing games as a senior, including a 154-yard outing in West Virginia's 30-18 Gator Bowl loss to Florida State. Lewis was a Dillard High graduate who played with the Hawkeyes from 2000 to 2004. Brown is the brother of former Seattle linebacker Chad Brown. The Dolphins also have agreed to terms with University of Miami quarterback Brock Berlin, Louisiana State linebacker Lionel Turner and Marshall wide receiver Josh Davis.
WR Josh Davis is a pretty freakin good WR out of Marshall. He has explosiveness and would be good enough to fill the 2 spot on the WR roster for the dolphins. He has set the NCAA record for 79 receptions during his freshman year. If he adds some bulk, he would be just as good as any other receiver. Him and Chris Chambers can do some damage. Alot of people had thought Josh Davis would end up in the second or third round of the NFL draft. I guess Nick Saban had worked something behind the NFL draft scenes. Let see how his draft picks and college recruitment works out. Edited By dominicankid098 on 1114501468 |
