Religion - Good/bad

Well, when I was younger, I was pretty religous kid, always listend to my parents and was afraid of God if i did a sin. But as I soon grew older, my religous faith started to fade because i came to ask my self, why would God let us have soo much hate between religions (NOT EVERYONE). Shouldnt there be one religion than many different kinds??? Why did this world become soo corrupt, Wars and Crimes. You have SOME priests molesting children, SOME Muslims (for which I am) blowing them selves up stating it is a holy war, pratically trying to ruin once a very pure religion in my heart still is. I Came to believe that the best faith for anyone, is just to use your Heart and Mind, because those are the two keys of Ethics in your life. You do what you think is right realizing the casue and affect of your action. Well my main question is...Do you believe this world will be better off with or without religion. I first said with out, but then i thought a little deepers, for some people it gave us moral standards, such as drinking, sexual tolerances, respect for one self and others, basically, self Discipline. But then, it did erupt some wars and enemies and hate. So what do you guys think?
