Alright if you got a dsl router, dont be hesitated that you can't host alright cause you can because i can ok. look for those who have a dsl router and i'm using a the newest one so i dont know if this will help so i'll just give it a hell...
1) Go to Network Connections (should be in your control panel or start menu on XP's
2)Click "New Connection Wizard" or create new connection
[/IMG]
3)Click Next
4)Click the option with "Connect to the Internet"...mine is the first on an XP
5)Click Next
6)Click the option that says"Set up my connection manually"
7)Cick Next
8)Click the option that says "Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password"
9)Click Next
10)Type in the service provider Verizon Online
11)Type in the username you used to register for your verizon online service...for example mine is MasterGrim8, then type your password and confirm it. Then check the options that says "Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the internet from this computer". Check the option"Make this the default connection". DO NOT CHECK THE OPTION THAT SAYS "Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection"
12) Click Next
13)Click Finish and your set but each time you want to use the internet you got to click this Verizon Online connection or else you won't be able to do anything so i suggest you put that connection in start up... Hope this helps
