keyboard trouble - help

i have an problem when i try to play x men vs street fighter online i set up the buttons okay ,but when i press the button to the make the charater do a move or something it doesn't move or attack .any ideas????

some buttons like
' and ; and [ don't work.
they just have to be either numbers or letters.

also, some people have problems with the num-pad

1st, see if the game works fine with the default setup, if it does, then its the keys u'r using

if it doesn't, then its a dif problem

a lot of people use Windows ME and 2000 said they these kind of problem, where they could type fine in the game chat window, but could not move the character ... there is no solution so far that one
