With your system, you could win one game, and have a 100% win record. And he would out rank someone that has a 300-1 record. Does that seem fair? You'll have to do better than that (although at least someone else is putting thought into this, which is nice).

The ranking system cant change unless it was a super ranking system. A system so powerful that it could tell if someone quit a game(so the lose wouldnt count) and make the person who quit actually lose points instead of nothing happening. A system that could tell if u played the same noob over and over that u wouldnt get any points for it. So basically the system cant be changed. I guess the only way to make a noticable difference to the noob killers would be to give very few points for rank 300+(like 2.5 points) 200-299(like 4.5 points) 50-199(like 6 points) and 11-50(like 8 points) and 1-10(like 20 points). Now this is just a system i made up that would be very hard for ppl to kill noobs all day and catch up with the top ppl.

Legend:
win = 100 points
lose = 0 points
life remaining = 10*remaining life unit
helpers not used = 5*number of helpers remaining
super used = 5*number of super used
rank = 10*rank difference
time = 5*time left

example:
mr.X fight vs SSJKarma
mr.X wins
life remaining = 250
he used 3 helper out of 5
he used 2 supers in the fight
the ranks are... SSJ = 310 mr.X = 10
time left = 10 seconds

final result:
100
(10*250) = 2500
(5*3) = 15
5*2 = 10
10*(10 - 310) = -3000
5*10 = 50

100+2500+15+10-3000+50 = -325 points awarded
since you cannot go under 0 then the guy is considered fighting a noob so he gets nothing...
here is the reversed situation with the same things !

100
(10*250) = 2500
(5*3) = 15
5*2 = 10
10*(310 - 10) = 3000
5*10 = 50

100+2500+15+10+3000+50 = 5676 points awarded
since SSJ beated up a way higher rank !

ADVANTAGE:
- noob killers won't be able to continues
- force people to fight high rank
- people will stop quiting games since if they lose they still gets some points ! (helpers, time and super, not the rank difference since they didn't win)

DISADVANTAGE:
- people won't fight the low ranks (but it is the point of a ladder, CLIMBING UP)
- lag is still their so it won't be real skill
- win and lose don't really counts

if you find otgher disadvantage or advantage please tell me.
it is based off our HIGHSCORE idea... giving points for the win and still put BONUS award for the rest of the things like TIME, SUPERS, HELPERS etc...

those numbers can be altered if you think it is too much !
remember that no one can have lower than 0 points at the end !

I have an idea and its not as long as everyone elses suggestions. I think this could work and the game would have less no obs.

If the rank system was domolished there would be less ppl on trying to fight for rank. The vets/good players would be soon known for there skills. The no obs that stay on 24/7 would no longer play b/c what would they have to play for?

If we had to have a ranking system couldnt it be by weekly tournaments. Think about it if someone came in 5 place then they should be rank 5th that week until the following tournament. This would force the no obs that want rank to play the tournament to try to get rank. They would soon realize that they are not as good as the vets and would stop playing for rank.

Another suggestion is that cant TMyApp or whoever runs the servers on the game turn them off at a certain time..like at 12am or something. Then the no ob killers wouldnt be able to receive such a high ranking.

If these suggestions arent good then i like Vipers ranking system. I looked over it and didnt really see anything wrong with it. I dont care about rank but for the vets/older players that do i think they should get a fair chance to get the rank that they diserve.

This topic needs to be revived. We are hearing so many good ideas, that I'm actually starting to think there may be hope for the forum, if not the game. While people like wrestlemania may try to ruin the forum, there will always be those who can turn the other cheek. I make no claims that i am that kind of person; I still find it hard to keep from reacting when people like wrestlemania bait me.

Luckily, there are people like Troy88, 2000warrior, feartetsuo, lordgrobyc', SSJKarma, NoSoul4evr, Quass, and TarkanX, to name a few, who put some thought in their posts. I have to agree with Troy88--it's people like these that make this forum worthwhile. Even when people disagree with me, at least I'm getting some input, and having a civil discussion with another great mind.

I would like to take a second, and commend the people who have helped to make this forum worth the spammers, flooders, and jerks.


I wish that there could be more people like TarkanX--his posts dont flood the forum, and when he speaks, he makes a difference, yet he has managed to get over 2000 posts under his belt without spamming. I take my hat off to you, TarkanX, and I hope you remain with this forum despite the negativity running rampant.

And Quass--he is one of the few (only) moderators who finds the time to take a look into the forums, and to help out struggling no obs and vets alike. Whether he reads this or not, I hope he realizes how rare sysops like him are.

2000warrior--you have criticized many of my ideas and corrected many of my statements, but I cannot hold it against you; you are one of the few who can disagree without being disagreeable. I find it hard to fault someone like you, who actually backs his arguments up with fact, and who isn't a jerk when he criticizes.

Troy88--you are constantly looking for those few meaningful topics where you can make a meaningful post. You have a great mind, and are the most level-headed person in this forum. Never once have I seen you lose your cool, and never once have I seen you make a post that wasn't useful or meaningful. Neither have I seen you contradict someone, and yet you always add something to the discussion. You, too, are vital to the integrity of this forum.

I hope this doesn't "fall on deaf ears", as 2000Warrior put it, and that you all stay with this forum. And don't think that, just because i didn't mention you, that I dont appreciate you. You know who you are.

As long as you guys keep contributing here, I know that I'll keep coming back.

Fear tetsuo: you're right, we'll never have a perfect system. But that doesn't mean it can't be better than it currently is.

SSJKarma: interesting idea, but it's kind of complicated. I had to read it 3 times before I fully understood it. You have to realize that our chances of getting the rank system changed are greater if we keep the changes simple, and not too complicated (less work for TMyApp).

Lordgrobyc: bad idea. Few people participate in the weekly tournaments as it is, and no-shows are a serious problem with tournaments. Plus, someone would have to manually enter in the scores for everyone that way, and I'm sure TMyApp doesn't want to do it. Even with the flaws of the current system, at least everyone could participate. Some people can't participate in tournaments, because they work part-time jobs on the weekend, have homework, etc.

Everyone: if you want a simple solution, that wouldn't drastically change the current rank system, then check out the link in my sig. Out of all the ideas I've seen, mine is the simplest, and for that reason alone makes it the most likely to succeed. TMyApp isn't going to bust his ass to implement a complicated system, so you need to keep things simple. I need feedback, as well. I'm open to any suggestions regarding my idea (but please post it there, and not here).

Viper: Well, I can't deny I prefer serious discussions over spam, like you see wrestlemania doing above (notice the quadruple post :colgate: ) But just because I'm capable of writing 3 page essays doesn't mean that I'm always level-headed, or that I always keep my cool. People in this forum get on my nerves sometimes, and I reserve the right to be an ass every now and then. Hell, sometimes I'm an ass for no reason whatsoever. But that's just me being me. I don't really care what anybody thinks, I just speak my mind.
