My 2nd campaign for zangief - Time to inform the masses once more

OH sooo that's who zangeif is... what kind of name is that for a person? He isn't even like indian or something.. i thought zangief was that inidan guy who stretches his arms and legs.

2 - taunting is way faster then any other way of increasing your super bar
3 - has his SUPER TAUNT where he taunt 5 times in a row ! your opponent will be so much laughing that you'll get the uper hand !
4 - his GOURYUKEN is as strong as KEN SHORYUKEN
5 - his GADOUKEN doesn't go far but sure packs a punch when it comes to pushing back the opponent !
6 - has OTOKO MICHI (self-destruct super) which deals 85% damage to the opponent ! ok, lets say you still have 1 point of energy left after that one so one hit and that's finish for you !

but like i said, all moves are comboable including the supers !
and his moves are way better then ryu, but that is my opinion !

Hmmm...we have a few rebel campaigners here......well, if its only hibiki, i guess i can allow it:biggrin:

1 - Zealot, interesting perspective. I never saw it in that light. I'll add that to the campaign!!! Save time downloading the new characters, vote ZANGIEF now!!!!

2 - Scorponok, actually you may be right, im thinkin honda does have some type of throw that uses 360, but it may just be a half circle. But, honda is not in this game, so Zangief is still the only person in this game at least who has 360 motion

3 - Big Hairy idiot from USSR? well, yes. But that's not a bad thing all the time right? Im sure there are tons of big hairy idiots who visit the site, they can vote one of their own kind in now!

4 - Dan, even if you think Zangief is gay, don't you think its time we get some diversity in the chars? Technically, adding a gay guy to the lineup would show kids not to discriminate because some gay guys are huge russian beasts! (Ok, im just playin' with you now but its always good to throw a politically correct spin on this thing)

Hmmm....lets see, whats a good random fact.....well, his dash is unique in that it doesn't just propel him forward, it actually is a grab that upon contact, will let you do a normal atomic buster or his famous bite hold or his stomch pinch move (embarassing to lose against). He would be one of the first chars. in which dashing would become a part of the strategy!! Any more questions/derogatory comments? Go ahead, post them!!! And vote Zangief!!!

I think Zangief would be awesome. I never liked him much at first, but then I started playing him more and once you get the hang of it, he makes for a quite formidable (sp?) opponent.

I'd have to agree with Scorp on this one. Zangief is a good character at the arcade, but he would have to be able to do his grab moves to be more effective than ryu or any other character. I vote for guile or charlie!!!

Ok, maybe Guile but, ewww......CHARLIE? Come on, they're like shotos but with charging involved. Plus, one of their best qualities is their air grabs and their atomic suplexes and everything. W/o these they dont have much advantage over the other shotos. But, if we get Gief in, throws will be added, and then you can vote guile (or whatever reason, charlie) comforted by the fact they have their throws. (Ok, I am biased against them a lot, so dont come flaming back with reasons why they're great, im just making a case for 'ole Gief, so dont go crazy now).

Here's a correction to a common misconception about Zangief: Ppl assume Gief will get creamed by projectile-happy opponents. "Zangief can't lauch anything back to cancel out the fireballs, he'll be chipped to death!!!" True, no projectiles in Gief. But, guess what? His lariat (the easiest move to pull off) travels through them!!! just work your way across the screen with this, juggle the opponent with it, have your way with the opponent, become famous, enter a tourney, win a million bucks, thank me later for persuading the entrance of Gief. See, you can become rich. Easy as 1, 2, 3. I take thank yous in the form of letters, money, and brief periods of worship, if you ever feel the need. Ok, now seriously, any questions, or want to give me a situation to see how Zangief would perform?
