Fear tetsuo: you're right, we'll never have a perfect system. But that doesn't mean it can't be better than it currently is.

SSJKarma: interesting idea, but it's kind of complicated. I had to read it 3 times before I fully understood it. You have to realize that our chances of getting the rank system changed are greater if we keep the changes simple, and not too complicated (less work for TMyApp).

Lordgrobyc: bad idea. Few people participate in the weekly tournaments as it is, and no-shows are a serious problem with tournaments. Plus, someone would have to manually enter in the scores for everyone that way, and I'm sure TMyApp doesn't want to do it. Even with the flaws of the current system, at least everyone could participate. Some people can't participate in tournaments, because they work part-time jobs on the weekend, have homework, etc.

Everyone: if you want a simple solution, that wouldn't drastically change the current rank system, then check out the link in my sig. Out of all the ideas I've seen, mine is the simplest, and for that reason alone makes it the most likely to succeed. TMyApp isn't going to bust his ass to implement a complicated system, so you need to keep things simple. I need feedback, as well. I'm open to any suggestions regarding my idea (but please post it there, and not here).

Viper: Well, I can't deny I prefer serious discussions over spam, like you see wrestlemania doing above (notice the quadruple post :colgate: ) But just because I'm capable of writing 3 page essays doesn't mean that I'm always level-headed, or that I always keep my cool. People in this forum get on my nerves sometimes, and I reserve the right to be an ass every now and then. Hell, sometimes I'm an ass for no reason whatsoever. But that's just me being me. I don't really care what anybody thinks, I just speak my mind.
