Known bugs/problems - Read this before posting!

Not just lately, but people have always been posting problems that have been heard time and time again. All it does is fill up this section. Plus, there's no sense asking a question that has already been answered.
Here you will find answers to bugs and problems(or things that you consider a problem). Also, questions to answers we often get.

:::BUGS:::

Blocking
This will always be a problem. There is NO guranteed solution to eliminate blocking completely. As always, a fast connection will help(as it does everything). Even that won't make blocking 100%, and yes, we know it usually happens during supers, and yes we knowb/c of that you sometimes lose matches. Currently, nothing can be done about it. Deal with it.

People leaving matches, and you get stuck in the game
It is immoral and down right poopty, but it happens. Sometimes ppl leave a match, and you can't leave the game without taking a loss. Nothing can be done about it.
If we get enough complaints about the person(say...through the PM a Mod function) something will be done about him/her.

I was kicked by the channel bot when I didn't do anything
Yes...sometimes you may say common words(at least you think they're common) and you get kicked. In this rare case that you actually didn't say anything "bad", just try to watch what you say. You may have said a word with a "bad" word in it and got booted*. This cannot be helped,
*Note: You may say something like "hahahahahah" and you will get booted by a server bot. Why? The bots consider this flooding.

Onslaught
If your opponent happens to be Onslaught, the game will automatically make his 2nd character Sentinel. If you manage to defeat Onslaught, sometimes the Sentinel does not come out. Which means you'll be unable to finish the game. If this happens, the only thing you can do is leave the game. Yes, you'll get a loss to your score, but....that's what you get for fighting in tag matches :biggrin:

Taking damage from helpers while in air
Sometimes, no matter how short/tall big/small the helper is, you take damage from your opponents helper while in the air. We know, it sucks. but right now nothing can be done about it. Like the rest of the bugs: we're workin' on it.

The "Game Over" screen
You'll get this when you're kicked by a channel bot or mod, but sometimes you'll get it when you didn't even do anything. It happens, it sucks, but not much at this point can be done about it. All I can tell you is try to log back in. If you tried that, talk to TMyApp or Nferno666.

wolverine's invisable wall
Sometimes when you do a move with ol' wolverine, you seem to get stuck behind this invisable wall. It sucks, and you miss out on a lot of good moves, but to get past it you'll just have to keep trying to jump over it.

A 3rd character in a 1 on 1 match
You may notice in a 1 on 1 match that sometimes your opponent may have his "partner" fly out and attack you even though you're in a 1 on 1 match. It sucks, but it doesn't happen very often.

4th rounds/extra rounds
Sometimes you may notice after you've won the first two rounds, or you won two and your opponent has won one you'll be taken to another round even though you've already one. There is no solution for this, but on the bright side this bug rarely occurs. If you run into it, try to just brush it off your shoulders.

:::PROBLEMS:::

The download version of the game isn't working
This could be a number of things:
1. make sure you have all of the .dll files, if you do, then...
2. re-download them all again, including the .exe files.
3. Having a pop up blocker may cause the problem, try disabling it then trying the game.
4. If all else fails....use the web version.

You can't host
If you are unable to host, this means;
1. You are behind a firewall
2. You are on a router
If so, you have 0 chance of hosting.

You can't get into any of the servers
If you've tried every server, and can't get into any of them, it's likely all of them are down, so it's not just you. This usually doesn't last long. Check back every 10-15 mins. or so.

Someone has your password
No one has hacked your account, it's not possible. It's even less possible for someone to guess your password. You gave out your password somehow and you have no one to blame but yourself. but..to get a password change, e-mail tmyapp.

Can't call out your helper
This will happen mostly while your opponent is doing a super move. First, make sure you have the right button combination, which is MP + MK. For the default settings, that would be I + K. If this problem happens still it is b/c of lag. Between you and your opponent(s) there is so much lag that the game cannot recieve your request for your helper. It's b/c of lag so you actually have no one to blame except you and the person you were fighting.

Double K.O.
No, it's not a glitch. It's a rare case, but it does happen. You and your opponent have both died.
In this event, nothing will happen to the rank/score of either user. It will be as if this match never existed. After the double KO you will be taken to a third, or if you've already successfully complete 2 rounds, then you will be taken to a 4th round to finish the match.

Your game is slow(lag)
Lag will always be around. No matter how fast of a connection, you'll still have it. but there are ways of decreasing it.
Once you actually load the game, you can now decrease lag by going to your options and changing a few things. Turning the music/sound as well as turning off the background will cause the game to have to run about 1/3 of the total information. Also, I advise everyone to turn off the "speed adjust" because that can/will cause lag to change from regular, to extreme, to regular again and just mess your fighting technique up in general. Before you enter a game, you have one last option, the choice of server. If you've challenged someone openly or are scheduled to fight someone, try to fight in the server that's least congested because a lot of people will lag a server.

Raging Demon
You'll notice when you manage to stop RD, it still connects, why? Because of lag. No, this is not a bug, it is just lag. It may not connect on your screen, but it did on the screen of your opponent.

Being banned
So you're banned, that sucks. You got what you deserved, and know you will not be unbanned. Good luck in the future.

Switching VIP perks to another user name
Nope, not gonna happen. TMyApp is way too busy to do such petty things.

You've seen people talking about clans, and you want to join one. Go to http://battle-grounds.com/forum to join one.

KKS: sorry, but being behind a firewall do not necessarely means you cannot host ever ! same goes for router which are basically another computer with HEAVY FIREWALL !

it only means that unless you are a true computer expert and knows how to get into the router web configuration, you cannot change the firewall, otherwise you could simply free the port 1626 in the router's firewall and tell the router not to block that port if anything happens on it !

and it will let you do as you wish, which will also gve you the right to host games ! or join games !

in any case...
here is something that will let people be able to perhaps fix these problems in the future !

USE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE DOING THESE STEPS !

1- Find yourself the IP ADDRESS of your ROUTER (generally... 192.168.0.1)
This is also called the GATEWAY for those who are on INTRANETs (local network)
2- Start your favorite WEB BROWSER and type int he adress bar the IP adresse of the ROUTER.
If it is the right IP, then the ROUTER will answer the call and send you his CONFIGURATION WEB SITE
By now you should be able to see the ROUTER's name and it asking you to enter the ADMINISTRATION PASSWORD.
Why so, because yes, the router configuration site can be seen by those on internet as well.
Now the password i can't help you, see int hemanual that came with the router. it should be there if you didn't changed it !
3- If the password and LOGIN were right, you should nowbe taken right into the configuration menu of the router !
In there there is a lot of options for you to touch, why ? because as i said, the router is basically another compouter !
Search around the buttons and see if you can't find anything related to FIREWALL. there should be a few options for it to be configured, by default all router will blocks all PORTs except for the 80, 21 and a few others i can't remember, why these aren't blocked ? because they are used for HTTP usage, if the firewall were to block them, you wouldn't be allowed to even go over the net !

ok... this is all i can do for you... except perhaps suggest those who cannot host to try and host on the port 80 or 21 since no firewall well configurated do not blocks them, but know that this suggestion is only a 50/50 guess, it can work but there is no guarantee that it will work ! so be my guess and try changing the game's configuration port to 80 or 21 !

in any case, you don't have anything to lose in trying different port if its just the ingame port thing !
