Just because it didn't follow one guy's "criteria" for a good banner doesn't mean that it's not a good banner. I love the colour choices. They're original and pleasing to the eye. And you guys are bashing it just because they all don't stick within the boundaries of one hue; just because it's not what you're used to. If you always stick with what you're used to, things will get monotonous and boring. All in all, this is a great pic. The colour is what I like most about it.
