The intro looks like it happens where Tekken 4 ended, with Jin's ending. Both Heihachi and Kazuya got beaten by Jin. Jin turned into a devil and flew away leaving a hole in the roof. Shortly after all these Jack robots storm the building, and kill Heihachi by self destructing after Kazuya leaves him to die. Now Raven the new character in the intro confirms Hehachi's death by saying he's dead, and then slices a Jack in 2. Raven's one cool ninja and he looks quite like Blade and all.
