Why is the forum boring lately ? - True discussion, not a parody or anythin

but in all seriousness, I have to agree. BG tends to embrace the "Freedom of Speech" amendment, but here, and I mean no offense to any of the mods/admins by this, if you fart and don't say "safety," you get a huge swift kick in the jewels in the form of a ban, or some other sort of punishment (negative post count, etc). And the bad language filter? Once again, no offense, but godforbid one of these 12+ year-olds sees a curse word on an online forum that they surely hear at least five times a day in their own home or infinitely more in their school cafeteria (or school in general).

And Karma, I'm going to have to disagree with you when you say that BG is just a PX ripoff. Very strongly, I might add. I'm going to have to disagree with you to the point that I can't even express so, due to language filter and the fact that I don't feel like getting banned again so soon.

Calling BG a PX ripoff is the SAME as calling Senshukentaikai a PX ripoff. And I know you don't have the audacity to say that. BG was originally created to try and replace Senshukentaikai, created as a home for the clans, which were never embraced by PX and therefore didn't have a place after Senshuk went down. Just because BG was and is more popular than PX as far as the more intelligible members is no reason to call it a ripoff. We can't help it that PX is boring, sans the occasional debate before it gets flooded with nonsense and spam after the second page by people who don't know what they're talking about.

for all i know, anything that refers to SFO is a rip off of the original site, and SENSHUK doesn't bypass that law, i always considered it a RIP OFF !

but BG might be more for the freedom of speech but by what i heard, BG also has the most stupid members seeing how the SFPOA got bigger because of BG !

oh and by the way, BG got that big because TMyApp and MastaQ had an arrangement to let mastaq do some BG announcements in here which both sites uses to make themselves bigger !

thus those who knows BG will surely learn about ProjectX and the other way around does works as well !

Just because a forum has a topic in common with another doesn't make the newer forum a ripoff of the older one.

For example, all BG and PX have in common are the members, and that they have to do with XMvsSF. BG has no General Comments and Strategies, no bugs and Problem reports, no new features, nothing about OFFICIAL challenges and tournaments. By the same token, PX has no sections pertaining to specific strategies, nor does PX have any sections pertaining to clan forums and clan challenges/tournaments. Therefore, how is one a ripoff of the other, when it doesn't even have the general categories in common with each other? The only thing they TRULY have in common are the members. The XMvsSF game is only a very small subsection of the BG community.

Calling BG or Senshuk a PX ripoff is like calling every DBZ site/forum that was made after the FIRST DBZ site/forum ever created an entire series of ripoffs. Catch my drift? Your logic is rather...irrational.

And BG has the dumbest members? First off, the SFPOA was a joke. I had vets in the SFPOA, as jokes. YOU were in the SFPOA. TMyApp was in the SFPOA. Get my point?

Second off, at least when the OLD BG was around (i havn't really tried this with the ####G), we were actually able to hold an intelligible debate. I tried participating in debate threads here not too long ago....pertaining to the war, religion, and science....and they were all filled with spam after page 2. And the one or two people that actually TRIED to debate continually refused to acknowledge my points and, in an abridged version of their entire argument, were saying things along the lines of "lol im not a monky ur a monky ur gonna go to hell boi god's gonna kill u." Hell, check out the Street Fighter vs Dragon Ball thread by TarkanX, and then take note of how many people actually debated, and how many people were just like "lol goku can destroz da universe the sf doods cant even go super sayin."

One of the main reasons we can't hold many debates like you said or the reason some Mods are so strict is due to the rate of members join this community. People are drawn here because of the game. Then they see the forum button and come here. There are tons of members joining everyday. There are over 12,000 members on this forum. Granted, thats over a 3 year span, and not all of them post, but to get my point across, there are a lot of members who do post, and new ones, and you can't really control the rate at which the simpleton's grow. Thus, astute are easily overrun by dim whitted posts. I've never been to BG, so I don't know how it's run, but I'm sure the population is smaller and easier to control, unlike here, so that is why some people enjoy BG so much, for the intelligent topics they can maintain. Even so, I've noticed this, and I'm hard at work to make this forum a better, fun place to be. I've got a load of ideas, I'm just waiting for the other Mods here to either approve them or dissapprove them. Then, I'll start taking action.

I have to agree pretty much whole-heartedly.

In regards to PX in general, it is rather discouraging, because such an influx of immature members causes the strict disciplinary actions (which you stated) is what kind of makes it.....rather prosaic. Not saying it's necessarily a problem caused by moderation, which I may have alluded to earlier, but it all stems from the influx of new forumers.

When this place is busy and exciting, that's when the mods have a job to do and that's when people get banned every two seconds.... which sucks.

When the forum is slow and nothing is popping up, that's when the mods have nothing to do... nothing to lock, no one to ban... and thats when a mod makes a topic like this because his job is no longer worthwhile and he has no power to use... and abuse.
