its lag bro... what i do at the begining of every round since theres almost always a 5-10 second delay before you start seeing the opponent start to move is i simply crouch/block or else you do moves on him and he's not "there" yet and then it kicks in and you get fucked upwards and it sucks majorly!!!

so all that to say wait until you start seeing your opponent move before wasting your time/effort (especially in rnd1)
