You're pretty much screwed... The same things happen to me, and I have dsl. It's either the built in fire wall, or the modem/router. And if turning off any fire wall doesn't work, then there's nothing you can do and you can't play SFO. I'm not joking. I've tried everything and it still doesn't work. Sometimes you can still play story mode though.
