well, isn't it obvious guys !

KEN = the only character that will never embrasse the evil within !
the only character that even tho he wants something that bad, he'll never turn evil whatever the cause ! the only one in this case that could bring back the light and get rid of evil, and that was prooved in his ending in story mode !

that is why, ken was made !
this is so obvious !

as for other shoto's...
well no... SAKURA and DAN are still availlable !

as for ken always being int he poll as well as gambit did... well no, when spidey won ken and gambit were no where near the 1,2 and 3 places !
