Actually they have a case belive it or not. It was racial to make a remark like that well VERY RACIAL. Video Games, Movies, Television-Shows, Radio-Broadcastings. All play a major role in society and should respect their "POWER" that they have. There is a limit for how far you can go with racism. It caused alot of problems before well not alot A WORLDWIDE problem before. So people are VERY sensitive to the racism issue. They learnt from the past that if not carefull it can get out of hand without even knowing it. I know some people could careless. I know some here are also like my friend Dave. Who always tells me,"Im not racist I hate everyone equally." Well if you are like my friend Dave then you're hopelessly lost in a void of hatred. Which only resulting path is a completely depressing and miserable life.
Also I do think that everyone is given a right to FREE SPEECH and should be able to express their opinions. One reason why the KKK and other HATE Organizations in America havent been shut down by the Goverment of the USA. They have the right to express their opinions and ONLY THAT. Well I got off topic a little but really to be racist in any form or fashion is not only degrading yourself but being ignorant to the fact that. EVERYONE is created equal and the right to freedom from pursecution and the right to pursue happiness.
In closing yes video games do cross the lines sometimes not only in racism but other unjust manners aswell. Yes I agree with some here its just a GAME, yes its just FBF/3D animation which is coded to sync to your button-pressing commands in binary code passed through chips by electricity ect...BUT when thousands of people play these games and get so involved in the story. Also that most buyers are "kids" who are just learning how to behave in a mature way isnt good. Because if just ONE KID became racist towards Haitians it would truely be a sad day for the gaming community in a hold. Like I express on this forum and other forums and in my life and whereever Im at. Everyone should be treated with absolute dignity and respect unless proven by the ACTIONS of that individual otherwise.

Yea....Well since there is still a lot of racists out there and GTA is more of a reality crime game......

But for all the ppl saying just get over it.......I think your wrong...they have a right to be disturbed.......That problably hurt some people...

yes that is true...you have a point. hmm... recondiering all off the facts.

Conclusion: video games should watch the racism level. maybe they could have substituted a fake clan for it?that my thoughts on the subject.

Well her recently around were i live there was a boy who took a gun and shoot his gf for somthing or another the boy was only 12 years old a lawyer walked into the house hold and picked up GTA vice. and told his mother he was being brain washed by this game (Told to do it) well his mother filed a law suit agenst rockstar but it never made it to trial in my opinion

When pepole take things to far it isent because of a game its because of the mettal state thay are in and only look for something to blame that prob. on

Yes..there was another case.....where a 13? year old had taken a shotgun and shot a moving car.....killing the driver..... He blamed It on GTA......I think people know what they are doing though so I don't think it is fair to blame video games....but its a little disturbing how we enjoy that stuff...

Actually this thread is about ABSOLUTE RACISM IN VIDEO-GAMES. Its not about kids, teenagers, adults ect. Blamming video-games on THEIR ACTIONS. If you want to make a thread about that topic then fine. I have only one word to answer as a reply to a thread like that. NONSENSE, because how can you blame a GAME only designed for YOUR ENTERTAINMENT for crimes that you commit. This thread is about how the GAME-DEVELOPERS of GTA put RACIST REMARKS in their game. Which if by chance tarnished a incomplete child's mind full of racist thoughts. Now I know someone here well if I were you I would say,"Well ok Zpower, you said that its insane that Video-Games can make you commit crimes. So why isnt it insane that Video-Games could teach and reward hatred to a race of people." Well if you are thinking that then keep reading.
You see Video-Games ect... can teach hatred to a child at best maybe even teenagers, possibly adults. Because any form of communication which can produce visual, audio. Can teach an idea whatever that may be in this case hatred towards Haitians. Now what Video-Games and other forms of entertainment cannot do is be responsible for CRIMES that people commit. In this case yes they CAN BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TEACHING AN IDEA. Like I said before people are intittled to their opinions and thoughts. So if a Video-Game taught hatred to kids for Haitians. Then yes Video-Games could be held responsible for TEACHING HATE. Witch resulting in termination of GTA series and Rockstar Corperation if not apologizing to the Haitians and everyone eles. Im not shure if such a drastic measure as that will be taken. I just hope Rockstar learns from this and doesnt cross the lines of ENTERTAINMENT anymore. For example Drugs no matter how much you may like taking drugs to make you "feel" good. It isnt right and HARMS your body. In this case your mind.

Yes, I believe that goes on the racist side especially after reading all Z-power said.

As for the violence:
Goddamn it. Can't they see the M in the box? People should be told on this. Parents should be told about the ESRB system. And they shouldn't sell that stuff to children under 17! Really. Practically make a law about that(Maybe that's too harsh...)

I also heard they nearly banned Video games cause of GTA.

haitien should really look it the other way, true that it is a racist game if you look at it the way it is... but think of it, if they had ever played it entirely they would noticve that all people, AMERICAN CUBAN HAITIEN and basically everyone in their is being racist towards each others.

fact is... its a crime game, what else would have you wanted rockstar game to do ?
haitien int hat game kills cuban not because they are cuban, but because they are taking up the place as dealers !
same goes for cubans in this game, they are killing haitiens because they are talking up the place as dealers !

in all way, i don't say they were wrong to brag about the racism in that game, but if they had played it entirely and seen it the way it was meant to be seen, they wouldn't be bragging that much either !

conclusion: yeah its a pretty much racist games, but in all terms, its
1 - a game
2 - a crime game
3 - not about haitien at all, more then them are being mocked about !
4 - they aren't hated because they are haitiens, they are hated because the haitien clan takes up the cuban territories !

so i still don't know why they would brag about it that much.
without this kind of thing, this game wouldn't be as fun as it is !
