shotos suck apart from ryu and dan. ryu is the origanal shoto and dan is an origanal shoto because of his moves. all the others are just clones of ryu with tiny tweaked moves.

Umm Ken was also in SF1. So that makes them both originals.

Yea But Also Restu Gokui(Akuma)'s brother was one of the first he trained with both Ryu AND Ken in SF1

(Retsu is da first guy u face in tha first street fighter)

Also dan isnt an original because his movies were just... movies! and his moves are totally different contemplations of Ryu Ken, Sakura,Akuma,(and even Allen Snider's) attacks

Dan is not, nor will he ever be, a "shoto" (icky icky word...). Nuh uh. He's just Dan Hibiki, the first person to officially get a full name without a lawsuit. Then comes Sakura Kasugano, who is classified as such, but only because her moves derive from that fighting style.

Retsu from SF1, huh? He wasn't an Anatsuken fighter/student, nor was he trained to be one. He is not related to Akuma in any way either. He was just a good friend of Gouken, and that's all. He's a Fallen Monk (explained in a bit) that uses Shorinji Kempo. He's a fallen monk, because he went into the "forbidden techniques". He did beat up Dan once, though, after he was kicked out of Goukens class. Reasons are unknown, but my guess, is that he challenged him to try and get back at Gouken.

If you meant Goutetsu, he's gone.
If you meant Gouken, who IS Akuma's brother, he was killed during SF1 by Akuma. Neither of them were in the game, but they fought "behind the scenes", and the entire battle was witnessed by Gouken's daughter, and Ken made it at the last moment to watch Akuma place that finishing blow on Gouken. Gouken is now dead.

Also, no offence, MasterX. I mean, Sean is a great fighter and all (compared to some ofus, I suppose), but he is weaker than Dan. He has been shown to be getting his butt kicked so often, that Capcom portrays him as a character much weaker than Dan. It's sad, but I think we can trust Capcom's endings, and storylines with him. Sorry.

Sean works hard at imitating Ken's techniques and moves, but he hasn't quite perfected them yet. Sean's weakness is recieving attacks while he is attacking. His dream is to perfect his own original combo. Ken also introduced Sean to Ryu for a fight to test what he had learned. Ryu wins with no trouble and Sean knows that he is still yet to master the art of Shotokan.

DAN

Dan's father challenged Sagat and removed one of Sagat's eyes in the fight. In revenge, Sagat kills him. Dan is after avenging his father's death by defeating Sagat. He also created his own fighting style called Saikyo: "The strongest."

But then, you should knowby now he is rating everything himself. So, it doesn't really account for what really happened, nor does it say anything about their reality. To be honest, Dan gave that revenge thing up after SFA2, and just started trying to teach people Saikyo style. He's probably still trying to force people to learn it. And Saikyo means Second Attempt. I should know, since I am studying the language. ^-^;;
Sean... Well, he kind of hit Sean head-on. But... he's still weaker than Dan, since even Dan hasn't gotten his butt kicked in so many Battles.

I notice that if youbeat MvsC with Ryu it shows Ken talking with Sean telling him about Ryu and to go talk to him for a fight. I kind of figured he get beat bad.

well, yes. But you'd have to play through all of the SF3's to find out about his real story. ^-^;;;; Just put everything in it's own area, and you'll see.
