well like every "special" days, halloween has gon' commercial..........now it's just about getting candy but nuthin about being scary.........and those old ladies asking to sing, I hate them..........when I used to go, I always had at least ten of them....... :angry: annoying women :biggrin:

halloween isn't about candy you fool, halloween started out as the day where the souls got out ghost, witch and zombies everywhere ! people were putting pumpkins as a way to prevent those creatures to get into their house !

that tradition were passed on until one day someone decided to give candy in it... for me back ten years ago, halloween was all about getting to see very scary things and if i was proud enough to not poop in my pants and go fourth thru the haunted mantion, i was getting my reward which was candies !

but now ad ays, halloween is nothing more then candies ont hat day which halloween isn'T that at all !
if at least people were still dressing as zombies,vampires and the lieks, it would be a little less stupid, but now they dress as a rabbit, a gentle magician, a gentle carrot, hell i even saw sp

Yeah..now that you mentioned it, I do remember back to when it would be a competition to see who would have the scariest, or ugliset costume you could make or find. Now kids dress up as Harry Potter. But still, back then it was sort of about candy, you know seeing if your costume worked to scare kids to drop their bags and run off, or..how much candy one could get in a night then seeing how much you could eat without getting sick. Then again..with the way the world is now..isnt every tradition and holiday lost its true meaning?
