InuYasha is an anime series about a group of people (5 of them, 6 counting Kirara)that are traveling the world to find the shards of the destroyed shikon jewel. The Shikon Jewel has the power to grant one wish, to anyone or anything. But since it was destroyed by the main Female character, Kagome, it split into countless many shards, which were scattered all over the place. In order to find all of the shards, and stop anyone from making bad/evil wishes, Kagome teams up with the half-demon, Inuyasha, and travels with him to fight for the jewels.

This, however, is in a different time period from Kagome's time period. This time period is called the Feudal era. In any case, Kagome goes into her temple, get's pulled into a well by a monster, and is sent back in time to the Feudal Area. Upon arriving there, Kagome sees Inuyasha bound to a tree by a Holy Arrow, shot by Inuyasha's past lover, Kikyo. Later, Kikyo's sister, Kaede, introduces the concept of the Shikon Jewel to Kagome. Then a demon comes, attacks the village for the Shikon Jewel, and Kagome learns that it's inside her body. She runs to Inuyasha's tree, get's trapped with him, he wakes up, calls Kagome Kikyo, Kagome get's angry but frees Inuyasha, and Inuyasha kills the monster. Too bad he was a little late to stop the Shikon jewel from getting cut out of Kagome's body. Anyway, later, Kagome accidently shoots the Shikon Jewel with an arrow, and it shatters to many pieces. And that starts their adventure.

Along the way, Inuyasha and Kagome have to try to learn to get along, and work together. They meet other characters along the way, such as the cheerful Fox-boy Shippo who joins them because Kagome saved his life, as well as Inuyasha (though reluctantly). Then, the perverted man Miroku first joins to hit on Kagome, and later on just goes with them to find their commonenemy, a bad person named Naraku (I don't really care about how his name is spelled). Soon, they find a Demon slayor named Sango, who joins Inuyasha after finding out that he wasn't working for Naraku. Each have their reasons for fighting, and they all fight together.

But, in a nutshell, it's just a story about a group of people/humans who are trying to get back the Shikon Jewel, and kill Naraku. There's a lot of love in it, too, and it's funny sometimes, because Inuyasha doesn't know how to tell her "I WUV YOU!!!!!". ^ ^;

That's good enough for now. If you ever watch the episode series, you'll understand a little bit, but you have to watch 1,2, & 3 to understand why it started.
