Newgrounds has a copyright that protects ORIGINAL sites. If Newgrounds hosts and runs a site that VIOLATES an existing copyright law (like TMy and Project X has done), then Newgrounds is screwed. Therefore, if Newgrounds hosted XMvsSF, and Marvel caught wind of it, they can shut down Newgrounds just like they shut down Project X.

Just because they HAVEN'T yet doesn't mean that they CAN'T. The site itself is not illegal. However, if ANY site hosts and runs the site without Marvel's permission, THEN the site is illegal. You really want to test Marvel's capabilities? I can GUARANTEE that if Newgrounds was to host XMvsSF online, Marvel can shut them down. If Newgrounds hosts XMvsSF without Marvel's permission, they're breaking the same copyright laws that TMy broke with Project X.
