[quote
ost_uid0="Neo_genic"]Thanx.If it helps, when I download the game and try to play it it can't verify my login, but when I goto mirror1 I can log in a practise but can't go to the chat... [/quote]exactly what i said... its a firewall ! ** FIREWALL DESCRIPTION ** a firewall is an INTERNET DATA BOUNCER, which open the door to the data that can enter on a certain PORT while closing doors to those who aren't suppose to enter by another PORT then those mentionned ! for a fact... port 21 and 80 are generally open, or you wouldn,t even receive internet on your machine ! it would be refused ! now, the router as an internal firewall, so that firewall is setted by the network manager. unless you can know which port are opens, i suggest you play on port 80 ! but that means you'll have to host a game everytimes ! because you won't be able to play against those on others ports then yours ! try this... go to... - OPTIONS - NETWORK - in "USE PORT" type in 80 instead of the usual 1626 - check OLD CONNECTION MODE (FOR FIREWALL) then try again ! if it doesn't work, then i'm afraid there is nothing you can do to play, unless the NETWORK MANAGER open you the 1626 PORT ! basically, you can't play cause the firewall blocks every ports that the game uses ! which means, internet play is unavaillable, but options, practice and thing that aren't net play are availlable as they are on your machine ! try that solution and like i said, if it doesn't work, then its just too bad for you ! unless you know the NETWORK MANAGER. EDIT: PANDA_MAN: bypassing the network won't do any good as he'll even lose his internet connection by doing this. if he is in a NETWORK like schools or companies, then forget it, they pass by a router and if the router is set to something, then unless he can change those settings (which requires an admin access) then he will forced to deal with the router manually, the only way to by pass the router is by passing thru the firewall by changing on which ports he wants the data to pass thru, but method works half of the time ! that's mainly the best he can do !
