While I dont see it happening, its a hell of a lot better suggestion then some of the others out there, and is in fact pretty good. Those who only wagered 1 wouldnt get very far in rank, now would they? however, the problem would be that this would make a match with the person one rank above you equal with a match with the person 200 ranks above you.as for the problems with score, maybe both contestants would have to agree on the amount wagered. the LAN game thing would still be a problem, though...maybe there could be a cap on how much you can wager--like maybe 15...
