[quoteost_uid0="Neo_genic"]Thanx.

If it helps, when I download the game and try to play it it can't verify my login, but when I goto mirror1 I can log in a practise but can't go to the chat...
well i've been out a wack lately so im probably not answering to the best of my ability. but if ur dad or the owner of the comp allows you 2 you can bypass their network settings. all u need to know is ur home username and PW, and u'll log in and connect as if u were at ur home computer. i do this all the time. write back if it works.

PS yea the d/l version always does this

exactly what i said... its a firewall !

** FIREWALL DESCRIPTION **
a firewall is an INTERNET DATA BOUNCER, which open the door to the data that can enter on a certain PORT while closing doors to those who aren't suppose to enter by another PORT then those mentionned !

for a fact...
port 21 and 80 are generally open, or you wouldn,t even receive internet on your machine ! it would be refused !

now, the router as an internal firewall, so that firewall is setted by the network manager. unless you can know which port are opens, i suggest you play on port 80 ! but that means you'll have to host a game everytimes ! because you won't be able to play against those on others ports then yours !

try this...
go to...
- OPTIONS
- NETWORK
- in "USE PORT" type in 80 instead of the usual 1626
- check OLD CONNECTION MODE (FOR FIREWALL)

then try again !
if it doesn't work, then i'm afraid there is nothing you can do to play, unless the NETWORK MANAGER open you the 1626 PORT !

basically, you can't play cause the firewall blocks every ports that the game uses !
which means, internet play is unavaillable, but options, practice and thing that aren't net play are availlable as they are on your machine !

try that solution and like i said, if it doesn't work, then its just too bad for you ! unless you know the NETWORK MANAGER.

EDIT:
PANDA_MAN: bypassing the network won't do any good as he'll even lose his internet connection by doing this. if he is in a NETWORK like schools or companies, then forget it, they pass by a router and if the router is set to something, then unless he can change those settings (which requires an admin access) then he will forced to deal with the router manually, the only way to by pass the router is by passing thru the firewall by changing on which ports he wants the data to pass thru, but method works half of the time ! that's mainly the best he can do !

company networking isn't my thing... i'll let you handle ALL of them

o and karma has left out one thing i can think that may be your problem. go to tools, internet options, privacy and if it is on high, lower it. ****remember**** always restore the settings as they were. don't click on default they probably have them set up differently. if u don't do this that company well chew yo ass up :laughlong:

nd itz weird...coz it only happens if i play a game with shockwave or flash or when i open a window...

Do u know the problem? :exclamation: ???
clear as crystal now...

its a problem with shockwave, geenrally when another software came in contact and modified the files that shockwaves uses !

uninstall SHOCKWAVE first...
step 1 - go into MY CONTROL PANEL
step 2 - go into ADD/DELETE PROGRAMS
step 3 - find the MACROMEDIA SHOCKWAVE
step 4 - click on it.
step 5 - click on uninstall
step 6 - let it reboot, if it doesn't, reboot the machine yourself.
step 7 - come back onto the game, then let it download the shockwave again.

should fix the problem if shockwave is really in cause !
to know that, just verify that it does it only when shockwave is used... IE go onto some other web sites, if they work then it is the shockwave that is faulty !
ohhh......THX!!!! ALOT!!!!!

o that's right, you can't play on-line or go to the servers. in that case, its the computer. there is not enoguh memory to actually run the game at full speed. if use up enough memory, say a little over half, your comp will start to see side affects like the loss of RAM and not being able to run at full speed. if u use up... say 95% of your memory, your comp can start crashing, run extremely slow, or stop running completely. ask the owner if u can free up some, by doing stuff like freeing up old docs and uninstalling corrupt or useless software.
