theres no piont playing if u got a modem like that..

and karma if every1 had..a quick pc and connection there would b hardly any problems.. and on normal TRUST ME..the fps is out of 40.. and my lowest was 39.66666..

and if u both hav good pc..play on turbo.. ???

more skill in turbo and normal ive noticed hardly any1 can block my specials(there pc isnt quick enough to compute with the speed)... but in turbo i can fast block...like instanlty..

33,6 modem and i still got about 20 FPS max and that's when i play practice mode !
so no, i doubt you have that much speed to be able to play 40 FPS unless you have something like...

if everyone had the money to buy that system then we wouldn't need any thing in this !
but no, in fact 3/4 of the PC USERS play this online game with the minimum requirements and perhaps less then it !
asking us to have better computers is something you cannot ask because we don't necessarely have the cash to do so !

needs 24images/sec for the human eyes to actually see the animation smoothly !
60/60 is so smooth that the eyes doesn't see it after that !

Well personally, I am not a fan of Normal mode, but I do not see anything wrong with it besides the point that it is slower. My verdict: Let it stay and don't give Tmy more work.

Maybe things would be a little easier, if in a quick game, you could ALWAYS decide on normal or turbo.

I swear about 90% of the time it is automatically chosen.
Perhaps this would fix things up

I'm not going to get sucked into this debate, but the what I will say is that:

In normal mode, I have less lag, slower response/game play.

In turbo mode, I have more lag, faster response/game play.

Given that (and the fact that I AM a dial-up user), I can't stand normal mode, and NEVER fight in it when avoidable.

The problem is in normal, your response after hitting a key is so much lower then in turbo mode that you can't defend yourself even when you see an attack coming at yourself.

For instance, someone fires a Shinkuu Hadouken at you in turbo mode, you can press away during the small "cut" sceen and when it's actually fired, you can defend. This works when you're in the air, charging, and in some attacks (this goes for ALL characters).

In normal mode... it NEVER works. The Shinkuu Hadouken comes at about the same speed, you hit away, and even if you're standing still, you can't defend (this goes for ALL characters).

...and you can just imagine what kind of disadvantage this is in Chun li vs. Cyclops matches where you NEED to be able to defend quickly.

Anyways, that's all I'm going to say about it. This topic is in the wrong section in any case.
