how do you use helpers?

hello. i'm new to the world of x-men v. street fighter. it already has me hooked. i'm performing pretty well thus far. anyway, i'm wondering how do you use helpers? opponents i face use them, and i see them when i select my character, but how do i use them? thanks in advance.

man your so mean to newbies, ok evo, this is the REAL way you do it, you have to beat 8,000 people and be ranked super duper saiyan and then send e 200 bucks:biggrin:
