Heres some interesting internet info ya'll may or may not know.

DO YOU KNOW...
The difference between margarine and butter?
Both have the same amount of calories. Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.
Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods. Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods. Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

Now for Margarine...
Very high in Trans Fatty Acids... Triple risk of Coronary Heart Disease... Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) Lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol) Increases the risk of cancers by up to five fold...
Lowers quality of breast milk . Decreases immune response...
Decreases insulin response.

Heres the yummy truth..(or so it's said)
Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC...This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

YOU can try this yourself: purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things: no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something) ... it does not rot or smell differently...because it has no nutritional value, nothing will grow on it...even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not find a home to grow in. Why? Because it is nearly plastic.

Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast? ???

Ewwww, never really liked Margarine im more of a Butter man,.
This is quite an interesting thread NoSoul...

Im gonna contrabute my own difference thing...

Not as interesting as Margerine or Butter,
but if youve never been able to tell the difference here ya go!

whats the difference between crocodiles and alligators

Alligators and crocodiles do look similar but there are several physical characteristics that differentiate the two giant reptiles.

Scientists separate alligators, crocodiles according to differences in their skulls, scales, and teeth. The most easily observed difference between alligators and crocodiles is the shape of the head. The crocodile's skull and jaws are longer and narrower than the alligator's.

In both alligators and crocodiles, the fourth tooth on either side of the lower jaw is exceptionally long. When an alligator closes its mouth, those long teeth slip into sockets in the upper jaw and disappear. When a crocodile closes its mouth, the long teeth remain visible, protruding outside the upper jaw. In general, if you can still see a lot of teeth even when the animal's mouth is closed, you are looking at a crocodile. Alligators have plenty of teeth, but fewer show until the mouth is open

So there you have it, when being attacked by a big reptile and you dont know whether its a alligator or a crocodile....
look at the teeth!

hell no!!!!!!

Wow.. that's some nice info Nosoul4evr..
Who could have guessed the difference in the nutritional value of both magerine and butter, considering the similarities both have in uses..
I agree with the fact that hydrogenating the one molecule of magerine could in fact turn it into plastic.. looking at their molecular structure..

*cougH*
They're both organic molecules.. (meaning each has a long chain of Hydrogen with other Halogens.. and just may be Oxygen! ).. They're called macromolecules.. Adding just a hydrogen molecule to these macromolecules could infact change most of their chemical properties.. thereby explaining why magerine is kinda similar to plastic..
But hey... if you wanna go on eating dehydrogenated plastic, fine with me!
