Right now im having problems with some ads that have been installed on my computer. They even pop up when im not surfing the web. These ads that appear are the same ones so apparently somehow they have been d/l'd to my computer.

I remember a topic like this but it was probably around 8 months ago. My question is, is there some kind of test on the internet that would get rid of these ads or maybe tell me the directory of these ads so i could get rid of them? I think SSJKarma may have answered this question 8 months ago.

Yes i have a pop-up blocker and it works great but i still am interupted with these annoying ads!!! Please help me.

does it have anything about woman? like naked women u know. that happend to me alot of time. porn pics comes up on my computer 10 minutes after it was on... even when i was not surfing. all i did was uninstall and it still REinstall. u know how hard it is to stay in the computer a whole day and stop that from happening and let my parent see it. well what i did was unistall it a few times. then it was gone for good.

hmm lord just try searching for stuff that u dont need.and try NOT to deleted important files for ur computer.

try by going to start, BUT right click it and hit explored. and searc there.

I get them too..little grey(or gray :sarcasm:) pop ups that advertise a site you can go to, and then you can buy the program that gets rid of them forever..But I think its a scam, becuase I already have seen more than 15 different sites for it..And, of course..you gotta pay for the program..

Ok ive tried the ctrl+alt+delete but everything looks ok there. Only the important programs are running. Also these ads are not of nake women or any form of pornography but yet there of toolbars like mysearch and "about:blanks". Sometimes i get that "internet washer" popup. EEw it makes me mad cuz when i play runescape or get on mIRC, the pop-up interrupt my typing.

Also i have went through all my files on my computer and deleted unknown files. I restart my computer and those irritating pop-ups are still there. Theres gotta be a different way to get rid of them.

EDIT- I figured out what the problem was. I found this program on my computer called TV T-media. That was what was causing all of the problems. I tried to remove it but it said that windows was using it. AFter i turned every program i was running off..it still was being used..so i had no choice but to get rid of it from safe mode.

For anyone who has this same problem -

All i did was i went to start, run, typed in: msconfig, then a dialog box popped up..click advance..then towards the bottom theres something that says "enable start up menu"..check that and restart. After that it will prompt you to start it in normal mode or safe...choose safe and then from there delete your file...Afterwards, during safe mode, go back to start, run, msconfig, and uncheck "enable startup menu"...then restart and your problem is gone :) .
