Before I explain the gameplay, let me go over the rules for rpg playing. 1) No controlling other characters intensively without a person permission, or without doing it well. If your character was controlled by someone else during a battle, and he's an outgoing type of character that jumps into a mob of wild animals with a stick, then I don't think you'd want someone taking your character and making him run away like scared child while everyone goes into the fray. 2) No killing off other player characters without their permission. 3) No Spamming. 4) When not typing something in the rpg, please write anything else in between [ooc] and [/ooc]. This helps stop a lot of confusion between comments, etc. 5) Have Fun. 6) Try to follow-up what a person writes. 7) If you have something planned, please tell everyone ahead of time so that you can execute your plan. This also saves a lot of time and confusion between everyone. You do not have to, however, spoil surprises. You can just say you have something planned, and that you wish for people to slow down a bit while you lead everyone into the planned event. 8) If you take charge (see rule 7), then you take responsibility for the rpg. If you don't give any plot information, and you suddenly disappear for two weeks, then no one will know what to do, and will be lost. Try not to do that. 9) You cannot take charge of the RPG too many times. Let everyone have turns. 10) I don't want to hear anyone say (or read anyone write) that they dislike another person's character, or that they dislike a person. If they join, they join and that is that. The only reason why they could be kicked out, is if they're literally ruining the rpg, and it shows. 11) Have fun, and use your imagination! Rules in the gameplay Elements: ^_^ Here are all of the silly little elements that are available for now. I'll list elements that are not YET available afterwards. I'll also list which has an advantage/disadvantage over another element. You do not need magic to get an element. You also do not need to have an element in order to start; however, it is preferable that you do have an element. Auto-available elements: Wind Water Fire Earth Thunder Non-elemental elements available after some time: Ice Storm Tone (see note next to element info) Dark Light Metal Non-elemental Wood Lunar Cloud Pulse You may also create your own element. HOWEVER, you must explain what it is, and it must also have a weakness and strength (since I already placed any and all elements that could NOT have a direct weakness). If you don't have a weakness, then you must at LEAST place down elements that will not be affected by the new element; and maybe what it nullifies (and is nullified at the same time). I've created three of my own, so I'll show you at the end. You may also add status-inducements to your elements; such as studying under the wind element can increase your speed by 10%.. and as you get stronger, you can ALSO level up certain status inducements. Status inducements that can be leveled up will be denoted by a *. More will be explained about leveling up status inducements later. *** - Further explanation towards denoted ability will be told. **** - Will not work outside of a Direct Attack/Counter attack. Table of Elemental attribute weakness and strengths: Note: You must go through lvl 1 elements before you can move onto lvl 2, and then lvl 3 from 2. If you are affected, it also tells how long it will last. This goes for good status effects, and bad status effects. This also affects your limit break ability. Luck changes the rate that you can gain a limit break in. Amnesia: If this works, you will forget your abilities for a while. This includes special attacks, magic, etc. This may also mess with your memories. Magic-induced only. Vitality+/-: This either lowers or raises the target's maximum hp-levels. Magic and Cloud-based attacks only. Transfom: This is only available to people who have a clan that requires or enables them to transform in order to become a stronger version. For instance, say.... a Werewolf. They need to see the moon in order to transform. With Lunar, they can gain the spell to allow them to transform themselves at anytime. ------------------ Physical Attacks: As always, attacking physically is based on your character strength, and their weapon(s). If you have a high attack strength, then you'll cause more damage, and the opposite if you have a low attack strength. If your character can use more than one weapon at once, then you can have up to two attacks in one physical attack that involves the use of weapons. Rules with attacking physically: 1: Yes, your character is alive. They CAN become fatigued, and lose strength, etc. 2: Your characters weapons can dull (blade weapons only), or break 3: Please be realistic when attacking. Not one character should be able to do damage to an enemy with a physical attack, if the enemy can defend themselves well enough. 4: Your character can and will be hurt during a battle, unless they're able to evade well, they weren't in the battle, they avoided fighting, they defended the entire time, etc. No character can always avoid damage. Ever. 5: If you're using a weapon that involves a lot of dexterity to handle (for instance, a Razor Fan), then your character will have a tendency to hurt themself. This cannot be avoided, even with a high dexterity rate. However, your dexterity will help you not hurt yourself. 6: Physical attacks cannot reflect magic, or split the world in two. 7: Please be real. Real means, think about how a battle would really happen. In a real battle, people cannot just slice through others with a single physical attack. People can also dodge, defend, deflect, clash, tie, or become engaged in a hold. No one just stands still and watches with a blank mind. 8: No Instant death physical attacks or weapons. ------------- Magic: Yes, MAGIC! Can ya believe it? Magic, in this rpg, can mean attack, defend, heal, support, or attribute magic. There are also special magics, that can summon, and do other things. Magic is highly dependant on your Wisdom and Spirit levels. If you have a high Wisdom level, your magic will be stronger, and the opposite will happen for a lesser Wisdom level. Spirit is the ability to defend against spells. Oh, and yes, there is "MP". I will explain that in another section. Basic rules: 1: Target-all magic will generally be weak. 2: Magic MUST be of a specified element. Non-elemental is an element in this case. 3: Magic effectiveness is ruled by your Wisdom and Spirit levels, as well as the target(s). 4: Early level characters cannot have many spells. 5: Be real. You cannot go into all magic types and become very powerful in all of them. You can only become very powerful with magic if you choose a few types to learn into. 6: Learning magic takes time. 7: You may only get elemental magic if you are of an element. 8: Elemental attributes will always apply. 9. Spells DO take time to cast. You cannot instantly cast a spell, never. Be realistic. 10. All characters, even enemies can cast spells. 11. You can only target so many people, or so big of an area at once. At lower level spells, or lower levels in general, Magic cannot target large amounts of area or people. Only magic that is supposed to target all can hit more than one target at any time. 12. All magic can affect your surroundings. If you cast a flame spell that has a large range, and you're around a forest or grassy area, most likely you'll burn it all away. Now, an explanation on the first five magics mentioned. Attack magic- Magic that is used in an attack form. Rules: 1: No Auto-death, unless you go into the specific elemental magic. 2: Attack magics can collide, and nullify/defeat each other. 3: No one is not allowed to do attack magic. However, you need to go into the study of this area in order to do so. Defend Magic- Magic that is used in a defensive form. Rules: 1: Defense magic can defend against magic and physical attacks. 2. Defense magic can completely defend against magic (at higher levels and strengths), but not physical attacks. 3. Defense magic can be broken. 4. If the defensive magic is very strong, it will require that you use a lot of concentration and power in order to use it. This means you cannot do anything else, unless you take down the defense. 5. Defensive magic can also be used to reflect other magic, but only at high levels. Healing magic- Magic used to heal characters Rules: 1. You can't heal TOO MUCH at a time. Healing magic takes time to be completely effective. 2. You cannot fully heal someone until later on in the rpg. 3. Elemental attributes do NOT apply, unless your healing magic is based upon an element. 4. You cannot recover lost MP with Healing magic. Support Magic- Magic that is used to support characters. Rules: 1. Support magic can go anywhere, from raising strength, or raising speed/evade. 2. Support magic also includes magic that lowers stats. 3. Support magic can not cause a high raise in stats without affecting the character being targeted. If you try and layer the effect, the character can become weaker in other areas. 4. Support magic will have a higher percentage of not working. The usual percentage for support spells is 65%. It becomes more or less possible with a higher luck. 5. Support magic CAN be dispelled or blocked. Attribute magic- Magic that enables elemental attributes. This is probably the most versatile of the magics, since you can basically attribute any element to any given area or target. For instance, if I attributed wood to a specific spot, a tree might grow there and become a little environmental hazard (or a natural shield). Or, if I was strong against water, I might cast a water attribute spell on an enemy to disable them from hurting me much or at all. Rules: 1. Magic cannot affect more than one target character. If it's a target area, then you may target only a small portion of area. 2. Attribute magic can be dispelled. 3. ANY element can be attributed to any character, no matter what their element is. 4. Elemental attributes ONLY affect physical attacks if targeted onto a fighter/character. 5. Elemental attributes do apply elemental effectiveness (strengths and weaknesses), but not stat changes. 6. Attribute magic wears off quickly. 7. You may learn attribute magic of any element, no matter if you have a specific element of your own. Now, for summon Magic, and special magic: Summon Magic- Magic that is used to summon other creatures/beings. This may mean special beings, or just regular beings; or perhaps random animals. rules: 1. Summon magic may only summon as much as the person's ability allows. 2. Summon magic can bring in creatures with either magic or physical attacks. -If the summoned creature uses a spell, they may use any of the 5 types of magic listed above. 3. Summon Magic does not need a specific element. However, if you are going to have elemental summons, then elemental effectiveness DOES weaken/strengthen the help you get. 4. Summoned creatures can stay for as long as you want, but they do have limited power. ^-^; 5. Summoned creatures can also damage the summoner if the attack in question is very powerful and is in close range. 6. Summoned creatures can target as many targets as wished. However, effectiveness of the action lessens with each target added. Other Special Magic: You may create your own type of magic. Just make sure it follows the rules, and makes sure there are weaknesses and strengths. I'm all for creativity, but all-powerfulness is something that can be saved for your fantasies. ^-^ But, please, don't hesitate to create your OWN magic. Um... Here, I'll even make my own up (that I may or may not use, for all I know..). Dream Magic: Magic that is accessed through the use of sleeping people in a nearby area. + It's strong with more sleeping people + You may actually place a person into a dream, if you're powerful enough + You may use this magic if YOU'RE asleep! - If there's no one sleeping nearby, the magic becomes useless. - If the nearby sleepers are somewhat far away, it may take a long time to activate / The magic can become elemental depending on the dreams taken. / The magic can be defensive or offensive depending on the dream taken. See? Some pros and cons, and then some random information that don't fall in either category. --------------- Limit breaks: Yes, there ARE limit breaks. However, here are some rules: 1: Limit Breaks are only desperation moves. They can only be used in the following situations: A: If your character is near-death B: If your character is alone, and is in a bad spot C: If your character is the last one standing in a group for ANY reason. D: If your character has "Aura" effect. E: If your character has a deep seeded hatred against the enemy in question. However, this cannot be all enemies. There has to be one (or a few, maybe) specific enemies that we will face through out the RPG that you will and do hate. 2. If your character is very weak Vitality wise, and is almost always near death, your limit break must be either a healing limit break, or a weak limit break. It's not fair if you take your limit break and make it super powerful, and then be able to use it all the time. 3. Use your judgement. Limit Breaks will NOT always be available when in desperation 4. The Limit breaks will still use your elemental attribute that you go into. 5. If you are fighting against another player, you must OK your limit break's effect with them. Be smart when doing this: If the other character is strong, and yours has the Vitality problem, you won't damage them too badly unless they have a weakness. If they're strong, and you're strong too (but obviously not as strong as them at that point), then maybe they can take more than one hit? 6. You may only use a limit break up to three times in one battle. But unless you have a high luck, you cannot use them one after another. Exceptions to this rule may be made if you have a vitality problem. 7. You may not have an instant death Limit break. Nope. If you even try that, either that part will be ignored, or the entire post. It will be up to the discretion of the next writer. However, Limit breaks that remove enemies from battle, or allies from the battle are acceptable, as long as the enemies or allies are not placed in very far away areas (unless its a strong limit break) or are dead. 8. You may gain new limit breaks when: A: You gain enough experience. B: You go into another element. C: You change your class (if ever). D: If you change to a different type of weapon. However, this means that the limit break in question has to be a limit break that needs the specific weapon; thus, it dispels your last limit break from existance until you re-equip that other weapon type. 9. You may combine your limit breaks with other characters, if and ONLY if they give their consent to you. However, this means that you must have information about the limit break you are trying to create. These types of limit breaks can be stronger than usual; but if you make bad combinations, you can actually weaken the limit strengths. Bad combinations are defined by: A: Element B: Character moods and compatability (how well they like each other and can work together) C: Limit break types (Defensive and Offensive limit breaks will usually not create a good combination) D: Status effects - If a character is cursed, blinded, silenced, etc., they may not be able to make a good combination unless the status effect does not affect their limit break's effectiveness. 10. Limit breaks, if you could not already tell, may be magic or physical attacks. It can also be a supportive thing, like a combination of defensive spells, or maybe item creations when two items are mixed together. ----------------- Explanation of the Clans: Clans are probably the MAIN focus, and probably one of the most fun parts of this rpg. Clans decide your species, your belief (perhaps), your kingdom, where you came from, your god/deity/super being (if you have any), and even your character specific abilities! Because of everything it decides, you are allowed to create your very own clan. Just make sure to remember its name, and what its laws are for later on in the rpg; we may be visiting. Be as creative as you would like to be for this part. As for naming the clans.. For example... um... here's a clan name: The Black-Backs Mind you, it doesn't have to be named like this. hmm.. the "black-backs". o.o; Again, you don't have to name it like this. I'm just really bad at creating names for group things like this. ^_^; ------------------- Creating your character: Ah, yes, so you want to create a character. What type of character do you want? Do you want a character who can fight well, and is fast? Or perhaps the magical being with a strong will for spell casting is your forte? Well, with this, you should be able to know how to choose your character, and create him well enough so that he's capable of doing what he's supposed to do. ....so for this part, that means I need a scale for the numbers and stuff... >.c; More thinking for me. Ok.. well it's pretty obvious that EVERYONE will start at level 1, no matter when they join. (Unless it's REALLY far into the rpg.. if it survives that long...)So, no matter what, we'll keep our stats a little low for now. Here's the breakdown of the stats that you will need to supply, and think carefully about. Vitality MP Strength Dexterity Defence Wisdom Spirit Luck Speed Evade Hit % Stamina Vitality - Your hp rating. How high is your health going to be? MP - Your MP. You're magic power. How long you can cast your spells depends on this, since every spell uses some MP. Strength - Your strength. Your raw power, without your weapon. Dexterity - Your ability to use weapons, or just be good with your hands. A higher dexterity also allows for good technique. Defence - Your defensive strength. You well can you withstand physical attacks? Wisdom - Your Magical prowess. How strong is your spell? It all depends on this. Spirit - Your ability to defend against magic. A higher stat will weaken a spell cast on you. Luck - Explained already during the elemental tutorial. Speed - Your fastness. Evade - Your chance of evading characters physical attacks. Hit % - Your chance of not missing against an enemy. If you're blinded, obviously this becomes worthless. Stamina - Your ability to stay up and at 'em. In fact, if you have a high stamina, and you're supposed to be KO'ed, you could probably just grit your teeth and continue. Things to keep in mind when choosing what stats to power up: 1. Defence and Spirit are opposites of Strength and Wisdom. If you have a character that has a high stat in the Defence and Spirit department, your Strength and Wisdom must be lowered to contrast that effect. 2. Evade is also pushed up with your speed rating. A High speed must create a high evade rating. 3. Stamina has nothing to do with Vitality. ^-^; 4. Mp has nothing to do with Wisdom or Spirit. ^-^; 5. If you're creating a character that is supposed to be a warrior of physical types (a swordsman? Or a hunter? Or perhaps a big sweaty guy that wants to choke people to death...), then you must contrast them correctly. A character trained to be proficiant in the arts of physical attacks will probably excel at it; while, at the same time, they'll be horrible with magic. This goes the same for a person that's trained for just the use of magic: They'll be physically weaker, but magically stronger (and perhaps smarter?). Basically, now that I've written that, I've finally decided to just say that the highest stat point possible is 255. ^-^; So, because of that, we start with lower numbers here, like... 14, or 7. etc. Exceptions rise for Hp (vitality) and Mp. Now, here's some examples of balanced characters of different types: A turtle character (a defensive character..): Vitality: 350 Mp: 28 Str: 7 Dex: 5 Def: 16 Wis: 5 Spr: 18 Luck: 12 Speed: 4 Evade: 6 hit %: 97 (out of 255, people..) Stamina: 22 A speed-type character: Vitality: 389 Mp: 34 Str: 10 Dex: 12 Def: 15 Wis: 7 Spr: 7 Luck: 6 Speed: 18 Evade: 22 Hit %: 90 Stamina: 13 A Health-ful character: Vitality: 403 Mp: 48 Str: 7 Dex:8 Def: 10 Wis: 6 Spr: 9 Luck: 34 Speed: 12 Evade: 13 Hit %: 92 Stamina: 19 A Fighter character: Vitality: 435 Mp: 13 Str: 19 Dex: 17 Def: 15 Wis: 5 Spr: 7 Luck: 12 Speed: 14 Evade: 15 Hit %: 104 Stamina: 17 A Magician: Vitality: 306 MP: 78 Str: 6 Dex: 10 Def: 7 Wis: 20 Spr: 24 Luck: 24 Speed: 10 Evade: 13 Hit %: 82 Stamina: 8 See? But the choices are up to you to make. You decide the numbers. Just balance it out between your characters. Please be fair to those who are fair! ^-^ ----------------- ..Just to be sure; this RPG takes place in a wierd time: There is plumbing in existance, houses are well built, and there are villages (but mostly lots of land!); yet there is no electricity, or advanced machinery. That means, no guns, no electric stuff, no explosives, no TNT, no Atom bombs, and no rockets of any kind. Just thought I should make that clear now. ^-^ Edited By Roll on Mar. 24 2004 at 03:06 |
It was a cool, breezy spring morning. The light shined through a window that was cleaned not too long ago, and the light that passed through was very warm against the soft bed that it lay against. The bedsheets were neatly folded, and the owner had just left the room; yet, the door remained open and the room became lonely. A girl ran down some stairs leading from the room. She had shoulder-length blue hair that flowed gently as she hopped down steps at a time to reach the landing. She turned, and went in the direction she was facing, and went up to her mother who was currently washing something. The girl spoke, and the mother turned to look at her. She took a quick look at her daughters golden eyes, her blue hair, her smile, and how pretty she looked-- to her at least. She crouched down, and began talking to the little girl, who immediately began to listen and remember what she was hearing.
This is a vast world we all live in... A world that is very special and dear. There are many, many different kinds of people living in it, all of them with their own uniqueness. Many towns exist, as well as citidels, cities, countries, continents-- and so much else. To explore it all would be quite the long journey, but it would be a journey well worth taking. Yet, it is not all good. There are many evils in existance, especially during these times. The evils of greed, mourning, revenge, hatred.... and most of all, jealousy. Jealousy over not having what one wants to have so badly, while someone else may have it...somewhere. Then the griefs of being seperated from ones own home can be terribly great; not just for us, but for everyone. Since there are many different groups and clans of beings on this world, and just as many lifestyles, adaptation will be one of the greatest challenges of all time. But I have faith that we will be alright. That is all I have faith in right now... and since we are special, I am certain you can see and feel it too. You can feel the strange energies moving in circles around the planet... you can feel that something is not right; like there is something that is changing for the worst part. But at the same time, the world is also changing for the better... The little girl tugged on her mom's arm, and the mother was out of her trance-like state. She looked down at her child. "What is the matter, Akiko?" Akiko looked at her mother with a look of boredom. "While all of that is well and good, mother, what does that have to do with picking strawberries?" Her mother looked at her with confusion. "Strawberries?" "Yes, mom. I'm fourteen now, so I want to go pick strawberries alone! Can I go now?" Her mother laughed heartily. "Of course you can! It's still daylight, and since when did you need to ask to do work?" Akiko ignored this, and immediately ran to the opposite room to pick up a straw-weaved basket from the corner. She went to the front door, and put on her shoes before she left with a yell of "I'm off! I won't be back for at least two hours!". That was when Akiko's mother remembered that it was Akiko's birthday today, and she told her that on her fourteenth birthday, Akiko was to pick strawberries from the sacred garden so she could make a few strawberry tarts for her. But what she was really going to do, was prepare her gift that she was supposed to have given her at birth. She smiled and wondered continuously, before preparing some dough for the delicious tarts. As Akiko wandered down the hill and away from her house, she thought of the promise her mom gave her. She really wasn't too thrilled with the idea, since her mother was a terrible cook. When she made chocolate, it was so bad that no one could truly say it was good; not even to be nice. But she would pick them anyway; if not for her, then for her mother. Besides, she was always asking for a big challenge, and this seemed like a good one: to eat, and then live to tell about it. When she finally reached the bottom of the hill, Akiko went south and into the vast fields of lush, short, green grass. Akiko was very happy and felt very alive whenever she was in these plains. With the sky above her being so lovely and blue, the sun shining so nicely, and the breeze blowing so playfully gentle, she was at peace. She neared the sacred garden, which lay near a very large and clear lake. The lake was so vast and beautiful, and the scenery around it (more fields, and then a surrounding of mountains) made it so much the more beautiful. Akiko went over to the gardens, and passed by the many growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs before stopping in front of a large patch of strawberry plants. Sighing cheerfully, and looking at all of the strawberries, she quietly picked them. When she was totally finished picking the strawberries, Akiko went a little farther east and lay in the grass. She was about a half a mile away from the lake, and she was proud of it. Now, she wanted to doze off in the wonderful warmth and embrace of nature; and she did so, calmly and slowly. ....When she woke up again, the sun looked like it was about to set in about several hours. It seems she had been napping in the grass for at least 3 hours. She got up, took her basket of strawberries, and moved on along home. She just started to walk up the hill, when she felt like something bad had happened. She began to run as fast as she could in order to get up to the hill so she could see for herself. When she made it up to her house, she was relieved in her heart: everything was just fine. She opened the door to her lonely little house, and went inside. Everything was normal, and everything was in place. She called out to her mother, and waited for an answer. When there was no answer, Akiko shrugged, and decided that her mother was just in the bathroom. She took off her shoes, and moved towards the kitchen; but then she tripped and dropped her basket. She crawled around on the floor, and retrieved the strawberries again, and crawled into the kitchen after the strawberries that were in there. As she picked them, she noticed they were leaving a red trail on the hardwood floor. Strange as it was to Akiko, she continued to pick them up. As Akiko was picking up the last strawberry, a hand had just fallen from above her, and had hit the ground along with an arm. Akiko looked at the hand, saw it was attached to an arm, and the arm to a body, but they were all laying on the ground. There was flower dress covering the body, just like the one mom wore... but that was because it was her mother. She dropped the strawberries, and crawled to her mother to see what was wrong. Her mothers eyes were open, and they were looking very worried. Her mother spoke up. "Akiko... please hide." "But!!---" "Just hide, now!" Akiko ran and hid inside of a crawlspace she discovered as a child. She heard footsteps, a laugh and then a door opening and slamming shut. She immediately got out of the crawl space, and ran to her mother. Her mother's breathing was very shallow, like she wasn't going to be able to do it anymore. She cupped her mothers hand in hers, and fought back tears as she asked her whether she was alright or not. However, Her mother just shook her head, and looked at her. "Akiko... you're safe. The man that came here; he is bad. Very bad. I'm glad you weren't here... he was looking for you. -- Shush! Don't speak now. This is important, since I do not have much time left. There was something your father left for you a long time ago. It's in my room, in the closet. You'll find a little box on the floor, that has a symbol on it. You'll find it. Open it, and take what is inside; it's all yours. And finally, Akiko, there was something I was supposed to give you when you were born. I actually took it away from you after you were born: It was giving you so much stress, that you wouldn't ever look well. So, I took it from you. Don't ask how. Just... take it back. You're ready for it now; so please..be silent.." Akiko watched her mother, as she brought her hands together. She looked like she was in terrible pain, but she continued. As Akiko watched, she saw something very incredible. Her mother was forming a beautiful pink ball of light, and as it grew, Akiko felt it's light. For some reason, a melody was forming in her mind... a very sweet melody... And then the ball stopped growing. It began to move very fast in left-right directions, and Akiko was watching them very closely. Then suddenly, the ball shot out in her direction, and literally went through her. She was flung backwards... but she never hit the ground, or a wall. Instead, she was stuck floating in midair with the ball of light floating around her continuously. Soon, it became clear to her, as it should have been since the start of the entire pink ball thing. This power... whatever it was... it belonged to her. Soon, she came to the ground with a large thud, yet the ball of light was still there. She looked at her mother again, and she was sweating badly. Akiko knew what that meant. "Akiko... do not grieve. Do not be sad. I die a happy woman, who was loved by a man, and had a child. ..I wanted to tell you so many things.. but I only have time to say so little..." Akiko: "But Mother, who did this to you? Tell me, please!" ... : "...Akiko, I wouldn't know for the life of me. All I know, is that he made a sword appear out of thin air, and it soared through the air before it..." Akiko: "Oh... mom..." ... : "I really wish that I could have been a better mother to you. I wish I could have kept you out of this exile that you had to suffer... Yes, exile. It's why we were always alone. So, my dear daughter... know that I love you... and will always care for you...Oh, A-Akiko....." She took in another breath, and sighed her final breath away. Akiko looked at her mother with a sad look, as she desperately fought back tears. Her mother would have hated to known that Akiko cried because she died; She even told Akiko that herself. So, instead, she sucked it up... The next day, Akiko went into her mothers closet, and found the box she was talking about. There was pair of gloves inside, and some jewels, and some pieces of cloth, and some thread, and a note. She picked up the note. It read: "Dearest Daughter of mine, I truly have no idea what your mother could have named you, since I shall surely die before you are born. I have made something just for you, because our village elder has instructed me to do so. The gloves that are inside, and the cloth are made of very strong material. It is very good cloth, and by the time you get the gloves, you will not find anymore cloth like it. You will not need to worry about them being damaged, or them getting old. They're silk infused with Rubellite, which gives you protection with the gloves. No sword can truly cut through Rubellite, not when its this concentrated; so I believe you will be fine wearing that all the time. It even washes well! In any case, everything else is a gift from the peoples of my village. If you ever need to find out anything about me, or maybe even your mother, look for the village called Shipaisi, and ask for an old man, named Might. He will tell you all you ever need to know... if he's still alive. In any case, I love you, my only daughter. -Your father, Talon " She thought about the name. Might; she would remember it always. However, she was not ready to go find him yet. All of the things that she would have to ask... even worse, what she would have to tell. Facing it once was hard enough; a second time was almost suicidal. So instead, she put on the gloves. Afterwards, she noticed a gem was embedded in her left glove. She wondered about that; but first, she had to do something. She took the cloth, thread, and the gems, and went to look for her sewing kit. -------------- A year later ---------- The day was as beautiful as it was a year ago. Everything was perfect, almost exactly the same. However, Akiko was standing near the lake; above her mothers grave. She buried her about twenty yards away from the lake a long time ago. She moved forward to the lake, and stood in front of it. A breeze came in and played delicately with her hair. She was wearing special boots now, made of the special cloth her father gave her. She kept the gems out ofuse, for now, and decided to sell them if she ever needed money. Akiko no longer had the ball of light floating around her anymore; it had become a part of her when she had finally gained control of her special power. She knew that it was just the beginning of her life, so she decided. She finally decided, and a melody started to sing itself without her even thinking of it. However, what she sang held a message... "..Mother... It has been a year since it has happened. I am now traveling on a journey in order to tell him what I could not say a year ago. Now... now I believe I could say more easily what I could not say before. I know. I know Might is alive (I can feel it, somehow). He is alive, here, living under the same skies as I. So you see, Mother... so you see there is no need to worry." Akiko stopped singing, picked up a small bag that she had lain on the ground a bit earlier, and as she began walking east, she looked back at her mother's grave. She let one tear fall, and then continued. Her first destination would be the town that lay over on the otherside of the mountain; the desert town of Kirtsnechiez. She would surely be there by the next night. She was going to find out the truth for herself... and her first and only clue would be Might. [ooc] And so begins my RPG... Forevermore. Udes was running thru the forest. wondering what was hapenning, why those monsters were running after him. why they wanted to kill him ! suddently a sound broke his thoughts, he stopped moving and looked behind. He saw his mother trying to save him. she had the surprise effect so it seemed that she had gained the upper hand. but it was merely changing everything. she got knocked out into a tree. UDES yelled UDES:"MOTHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He ran toward her, bashing at the monsters, his father had shown him how to fight for the last 7 years. stillhe was just a kid. what can a 12 years old beast can do to save his mother ? he got knocked out as well. all he could see was his mother getting killed by one of the monsters. UDES:"MOTHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" *Wakes up* Udes was breathing heavily, still in shock, he looked around the room to notify it was only a dream. he started to breath more slowly. he standed up from bed. then walked down to the window. UDES:"Why do i keep dreaming of this instant ? its'been three years now. why can't i put it out of my mind ?" He openned the window to let the sun hit the room. he blinked at the beautifull sun. the day was marve|ous, it was like the whole city was at peace and it was great that way ! UDES:"Time to go !" He looked around, saw his wooden leg pads and put them on. he then looked around for his arms pad and put them on as well. he then took his wooden armor and put it on just like the rest. but when it came down to his wooden sword, he couldn'T take it. UDES:"Been 3 years father. three years ago, you saved my life back there. you gave me this CLAN JEWEL that is the SWORD OF THOAS. i think i understand now what kind of prophecy you spoke about. just hope you are still alive. wait for me father, i'm coming back home !" UDES finally took his sword back and place it gently in his sheath. he walked out of the room and climbed the stairs down. many people never saw any wingned beast other then in a forest. so everyone looking at UDEs was kind of surprised and gave him a weird looking face. but udes didn't care as long as they kept their thought for themselves ! Still he had a pride given to him by his father and mother. as a RED LEAF member, he had to give proper gift for the help he received. UDES:"Thanks for the service. i passed an excellant night ! here is a token of my gratitude !" *Throws a few more coins on the table* I. KEEPER:"Well thank you mister, feel free to come back any time you want !" So udes smiled to the man and walked out of the inn. a magnificient city. a merchant city, a city where everyone could find everything they needed and they could buy everything they wanted. this city is also the middle point of all ocean port, the place where all ships could stop and reload so they could go on with their shipments ! it was a great place to come and go and UDES had always returned to such a place after his travels. UDES:"Think i'll get some stuff, my next stop his the desert town of Kirtsnechiez." and udes walked off to get to the item merchant. he bough a few things, food wise and lots of water. he paid the merchant and he walked out of the shop. as he walked out he noticed a few kids who were climbing in a tree. they cracking branches and were drawing on it with knives. he couldn't resist... UDES:"Hey kids, what has this tree did to you to deserve such a treatment ?" KID1:"Buzz off !" KID2:"yeah, buzz off !" *UDES sighted* He jumped on the branches and landed gently on it, as if he was floating on it. the kids started to look at him weirdly wodering what he would do. UDES:"You shouldn't hurt mother nature like that. one day she'll get back to you !" KID1:"Mother nature ? let me laugh this is just a tree not a living thing !" *KID2 was laughing* UDES:"Don't say i didn't warned you !" *Udes hoped on the branch* The branch moved a lot and the kids were disstabilized, they both fell out of the tree. people were looking at UDES for being so cruel, but udes didn't care less about what they think. he just hates it when people hurt the nature ! the kids ran off crying. Udes jumped out of the tree placed his hand on it and closed his eye. he could hear it say thanks ! he openned his eyes again and said "No problem, it should heal fast !" he then patted on it... then walked off to the entrance gate. he looked at the city again. then walked off town. next stop... the desert town of Kirtsnechiez. Well, after a long day of school and training, this wasn't an unusual event. "Hey, wake up! Rawk! Wake up!" shouted an energetic, high-pitched voice. Rawk turned over in his bed, away from the child who was trying to wake him up, and mumbled. "Come on, Rawk!" the boy insisted. "Nrgh ... Sleep," the wolf-man replied decisively. "Rawk! There are shooting stars outside!" This opened his the tired loach's eyes. Without a word, he jumped out of his bed and ran toward the balcony (Rawk was a lucky one; his room was one of around fifty on the side of the mounain). He put his hands on the rail, looked up, and just silently gazed at the wonderous site above. They didn't say anything for a while. The child just stared at Rawk as Rawk stared at the sky. "When you gonna do it, Rawk?" asked the kid. "When you gonna leave?" Rawk waited a while then said, "I don't know. When the time is right, I guess." "But when will the time be right!" Rawk took his hands off of the rail, looked down at the child and smiled. "I don't know," he said as he walked back into his room. He got in bed once again and fell quickly to sleep. By the way, people, here are Akiko's stats: Elemental Attribute: Tone (Ability effects not inflicted yet) Vitality: 302 Mp: 82 Str: 6 Dex: 9 Def: 8 Wis: 19 Spr: 21 Luck: 34 Speed: 12 Evade: 6 Hit %: 79 Stamina: 7 [/ooc] Akiko sighed. She was almost over the mountain, and it was already night time. She could not fall asleep at this time either; no matter where she looked, she always saw some type of shadow moving around in a threatening manner. So, she continued to climb the mountain without stopping, in hopes of getting to the bottom of the mountain, and completing her trek through the canyon that she had passed through once before. However, due to fatigue, constant movement, and the items that she brought along with her, she came to a stop and sat down on a protruding rock. She looked up into the sky, and watched the stars twinkle wildly. She gasped excitedly: there were shooting stars in the sky! She quickly made one wish, that she kept gently to herself, and left the other stars to be wished upon. She smiled, and remembered the last time she saw a shooting star: she was only five years old then, and she made a wish that still had yet to come true. But she had to admit, that wish was something that she could not expect to come true for quite a long time. She sighed, and after some more time of remembering, she got up, and continued with her journey. She was able to smile at the tiny little patches of grass that existed on the mountain, and she enjoyed the crisp air as she climbed. The wind that blew was gentle and somewhat calming, and the gentle curves of the mountain as she looked were looking... very...sharp, tall, and concentrated in one area. She stopped, and let herself grow confused. Never before had she ever noticed that the mountains had curves like that; but perhaps it was because her mother took her over a different mountain, and she did live in the center of the mountainous terrain. Nevertheless, she proceeded with caution. She saw, in the sterling moonlight, the outlines of a few large holes and worked terrain. She had never seen so many caves before; not even the canyon that she once visited to get to that desert town. It was very... awe-inspiring to her. Perhaps she could meet plenty of new, interesting people in that area! She stopped being so cautious, and moved forward without much thought of being in any type of danger. She climbed closer still to the biggest hole, hoping that maybe, just maybe, she might find someone that would be awake at this hour so that she may talk to them and see if she was welcome. She walked around in front of the cave, looking for a person inside, and found no one. She placed her head against the wall to try and hear if there was someone moving around in there. There was no sound vibrations from inside the cave. She knocked lightly on the wall, which made a dull (and quiet) thud sound, and waited. After two minutes had passed, Akiko walked to the edge of the entrance, and cautiously stuck her head through the entrance. There was no one inside, and it was dark; it was not really a good mix for her. Akiko walked in slowly with a lot of caution, hoping that no one who would be upset would see her. Suddenly, the hole behind Akiko disapeared and it was pitch black. There was now no way for her to see, and now she would have to rely on her other senses in order to get by. She quickly felt out for a wall on which to lean on, and found one that felt very.... wooden? She moved very slowly, with one hand on the wall, and one arm in front of her, in search of someone or something that could help her find her way. Then she realized; her little ball of light! Though it wasn't needed by her anymore in order to control her abilities, she could perhaps still summon it. She placed her hands to her chest, and felt out the ball. She finally found her little light, and she pulled it out so that it could shed light into the cave; though, the pink glow that it gave off was a little too tinted for excellent sight. She entered the nearest cave to her as soon as she found it, and accidentally walked into a room filled with a few living beings. She had never seen anyone like them before... She moved closer, and had the light from her orb become softer as it continuously moved all around her. They.. were wolf-like; yet they looked like humans. The outlines on the being she was looking at definitely showed off muscular tendencies, and she took a step closer to look at the person. They were definitely a "he" as well... though, Akiko wasn't fully prepared to check to see if she was correct in her assumptions or not. She blushed when she thought of this: what if her assumptions were wrong? She shook her head, which in turn shook her hair, which caused some noise in the cave. She stopped moving: The sleeping Wolf-man thingy was stirring. This was not a good moment for her. She quickly dimmed the orb, and walked towards the exit of the mini cave; yet, for some reason, she was not moving forward (though her legs were moving). She tried walking faster, and noticed that her feet were now sliding against the rocks on the ground as she moved forward, and that something was holding on tightly to her shirt. She turned her head around slowly, and saw that the wolf man awoke. Her heart skipped a fewbeats. She looked at the wolf-guy thing, and kept thinking to herself to not scream. She repeated the thought continuously, fearing that perhaps the wolf-person wouldn't allow her to move on (and that she would have to try and fight). She looked on at him, and before she knew it, he was looking at her. He had a very cinical look on his face, and it was scary to see first-hand. She waited, and still continuously told herself that she must not scream. Then he spoke the words she had wanted to hear from the beginning of the adventure. "Hello." She screamed. Within a few moments, more wolf-like-human-guy-people-things were inside the cave, and staring at poor Akiko. She stood very still, as a very tall he-wolf came and towered over her. "What are you doing here?!" Akiko would have died right there. "Um...u....I.. I...... I.... I......" She blushed terribly as she tried really hard to introduce herself to the scary being standing and staring down at her. When she finally succeeded in speaking her name five minutes later, the man just looked at her pitifully while she tried to tell the rest of her tale of why she was there. Ten minutes later, she finally finished telling them the reasons of her intrusion. She stood there, blushing as she awaited their approval, disapproval, rejections, and perhaps their insults and scoldings. But as she waited, nothing was coming except for some sharp looks. Perhaps it would be best if she left.. She began to sidestep very slowly towards the exit, and stopped when a few more of the wolf-people covered the exit. There certainly was no escape now.. She held her orb in her hands, as she became even more afraid about what they could even try to do to her for her intrusions. She just hoped it wouldn't involve her fears.. [ooc]Oh, and Razz, I hope you're not speaking of the English word Loach: the Europian or Asian fish which is similar to a catfish. ^-^; It would make no sense. [/ooc] |

Good start ! MasterX05 : we don't care if you take characters already existant to you. as long as you don't make any info about any other RPG he was in... its a whole new adventure so you must play it like it was the first ever story he ever made it in ! glad you two made it... RAZZ and MASTER that is ! all others we would really enjoy if you joined ! [/OOC] It's been a while since UDES passed the gate of the port. He been walking down the plains until he reached a few mountains. now he was wondering which way to go, he now had two ways to go. Either he was walking down the edge of the mountains until he gets near the city and then go ahead in the desert, Or he could go in the caverns right thru the mountains and gets into the desert by there ! Either way to go had one advantage and one disadvantage ! The mountain path was maybe the safest, but it was the longer to take and it would take him 3 days to get the desert and then 1 day int he desert before getting into the city he was going in. The direct path was the maybe th efastest and it would give him 2 full days ahead of the other route. but it was the most dangerous path ever taken ! UDES:"So what i like challenges and i like having a hard time !" He decided to go thru and take the challenge. thing is... the less time he take to get to his homeland, the less time it will take to get the truth. so he walked on toward the mountain. climbed his way a few times. then he came across a cavern, he took a big breath and letted it go. UDES:"Here goes nothing !" He lit the torch he had and then goes inside. he had been walking down for a few minutes when the entrace disappeared behind him. UDES:"The points of no return." still Going on, he started to hear some noises coming from deep down inside. surely there was lots of activity going on. by UDES memory there was a few kind of creatures down there. were-like creatures and lycanthropes, a fewbats and a few dwarves very down below ! for this cavern to have lots of activity like that meant that there was a few things going on. maybe some travellers got in thinking it was the fastest way and didn't knew what was inside. UDES:"Damn i hate travellers who don't what they are get in !" UDES walked down faster readying his sword just in case. TO BE CONTINUED... [OOC]Ok roll, this is a big mountain huh ! so i'm not already in the same area as you. but if you want me to get in to help your character, then fine make go in. if you don't tell and i won't find you now ![/OOC] |

The Loach held the intruder by the shirt and pinned her against the wall.
"You know what?" he asked. "I don't think I believe your cute, little story. I might as well just get rid ... " "What is going on here, Sherak?" shouted a Loach who had just entered the room. His clothing was destinctly different from that of the others in the room. He woar white pants with a golden sash and a purple vest with golden trim. His fur was black, except for a white patch wich covered half of his face. He was one of the chiefs of Blitz. "We've caught an intruder, sir." "And you've decided to do what with her?" "I was just going to ... rid us of her unneeded presence. Sir." The chief walked toward Sherak and as quick as lightning, smacked him accross the back of the head with quite the loud bang. Blaze cringed and dropped the girl. "You incompetant fool. If that's how you use your brain, I might as well rip off your head and use your neck for a toilet," the chief added. He walked over to the girl, who was now squatting on the ground, staying still because she didn't want to make anyone angrier at her. [OOC] I have to go. [ooc]sorry, fdoing my best guys and girls, but it seems whatever i try its going awefully stupid. man, no one ever talks to me about these things... kalem, you do as you please to meet me and if you got a better idea then speak to me for damn sake ![/ooc] |
[OOC]Yeah, and I'm sorry about that, Roll. But hey, I'm not the one that wandered into another character's (whose controlled by someone with an incredible lack of commitment) clan's HQ :p . Oh, and I changed Blaze's name to Sherak. It fits better with the style of names that Loach have.[/OOC]
The chief knelt down in front of the girl so he could look her in the eye. "What's your name?" he asked warmly. "I ... it's Akiko," She studdered under her breath. The noble wolfman nodded and stood up, holding out his hand toward Akiko. She grabbed it and stood up. The chief reached behind his back and took out a small rope. "I'm sorry Akiko, but I'll have to tie your hands. We'll take'em off as soon as we can." As they left the room, the chief shortly paused at the doorway and looked back disapointedly. Eventually, they came to a closed, wooden door and stopped. "This is the elder's room. He'll have to decide what to do with you; let's go," said the chief as he put his hand on the doorknob. "Wait," Akiko stopped. "What's your name?" "Khesker." Khesker opened the door, and there was the elder. He was sitting at a small wooden tabe, writing with his quill. He wore glasses and had a pipe in his mouth - the pipe wasn't lit. He sat there, writing and mumbling to himslef without glancing at the visitors. They walked up to the table and waited. Finally, the old - but not too old - Loach looked up and put his quill down. "So," the elder rubbed his hands together, "what have we here?" Akiko told the two wolfmen her story about how she got there, however long it took her to say; she was still a bit scared and uncomfortable. "Well, you stumbled into the wrong room. Sherak's quite the character," Khesker commented. Akiko smiled and nodded her head. "Yes, and I apologize for him," said the elder. "We're not really used to non-members in our territory. Well, peaceful non-members anyway." "It's okay. Really," replied Akiko. "We would send you out on your way, but it's way too dark for a young lady to travel!" The elder slowly got up out of his chair, put his hand on his back, and bent backward, "We'll let you stay here for the night." Akiko wasn't really sure whether to be grateful or skeptical. She didn't really seem to like the idea. "Don't worry. We've got just the guy to keep you safe," added Khesker. "He's ... different, so he has his own room." "Different?" Akiko asked. "Well ... to put it simply, he's kind of an outcast. We don't really know why, he's just always alone; except for the little boy who always follows him around." Khesker and Akiko left the room and walked down a few halls. They got to the room and opened the door. The Loach inside was on his balcony. He turned around and walked toward Khesker and Akiko. "What's this?" He asked. He wore red pants with a white sash around his waist. He also wore golden gauntlets. His fur was white, save a fewbrown spots here and there. Khesker replied, "Rawk, meet Akiko. She's going to be staying here tonight." "What? Why my room?" "We can trust you. That's why." Rawk walked over to Akiko. "Hi," he said. "Hello," she replied. "See? You're off to a good start," Khesker said as he left. [OOC] If I do anymore, it's going to suck. Why? Because I'm not really in the RP mood, so, I wouldn't be very creative. *The landscape who unfolded before ARTHUS's eyes, wasn't the one he remembered. The mountains who used to be covered in green grass were now vulgar rocks. The Time had probably won against the nature, or was it a disaster ? Only ARKAN knew it... However, among this desert of stone, something seemed to move around this labyrinth of rock. Trying his luck, ARTHUS dove discretely so he wasn't seen.
To himself:"How I'm suppose to be furtive with this body and those wings? To bad, if he reacts badly I've gotta be prepared." *He lands about thirty meter further and wait for him. The creature was walking quietly like she wasn't sure which way to choose. When it came at a good distance he talked... Arthus:"Welcome stranger, my name is Arthus and I don't wanna harm you." The creature readyed his sword for combat... still letting it his sheath, he asked the man to come out of hiding. Arthus:"Don't be afraid, I've already told you that I will not harm you. All I want to know is... Creature:"Back of or you'll taste my blade." Arthus:"Arrogant brat, you're just a... (It seems that the transformation has increase my anger, I have to control myself or I'll attack him) Sorry, what is your name? Creature:"My name his Udes and I order you to come out of the dark." Arthus:"I warn you, don't be mistaken by my appearance... (comming out of the shadow) Now listen to me... Udes:"Don't come any closer monster." Arthus:"I understand your reaction but listen to me. I am Arthus, prince of the kingdom of Avalon." Udes:"Liar!!! Avalon is ruled by a maniac named Cyrus." Arthus:"That's my brother and he is responsible for what I am today. Trust me, all I want is your help." Udes:"I don't help the people of your kind!!!" Arthus:"Fine!!! It seems that you'll never trust me. By the way, I observed you and you seemed lost." Udes:"I know exactly where I'm going!!!" Arthus:"Sure but just in case I'll give you this map. I am not certain of his exactitude but I think it'll be ok. Fare well my friend, it was a pleasure to meet you..." *Arthus left Udes with the map and go south Arthus:"I gotta reach Kirtsnechiez before the sunrise. Perhaps I'll find my answer there." TO BE CONTINUED... |
UDES:"What the hell was that all about ? he couldn't have been the person he said he was... by that legend i saw in that book... it told of a forgotten prince who disappeared and they never found him ! he cannot be who he claimed to be ! in any case... let's see this supposed map ?"
Looking at the map UDES noticed how the map was saying that the desert was the other way around ! but that map looked like it was made a long time ago... Udes wondered about the creature he had just seen... UDES:"This map is so old... damn, this won't be of any help, tho the city ad desert still exists... i know that those hills there aren't there anymore ! dang, all to point toward the fact that this creature could have been there a hundred years ago ! how can it have lived that long ? oh well, at least now i know where i'm going !" Udes packed the map in his bag and turned back taking the same way as the creature. still he wondered about the destination of that monster he had just met. it couldn't be going to the same place couldn't it ? UDES:"Dang if that creature is going to the desert city like i do, many people can get hurt by it if it decides to attack it. dang, gotta move fast !" Udes placed all his things in his bag and then closed the bag by pulling the small rope and then locked it with that same rope. he then threw it backward toward his back closed his wings on him and then started to run in the direction that creature took. he decided to ran on four legs which was the fastest he could ever run ! UDES:"Too bad i can't use my wings like that creature does.... it would have been so much faster to fly their ! oh well i'm still a fast runner !" So udes followed the creature to the desert which the creature seemed to go in it... it must have been going to the desert city... so udes had to follow, but before ogin in as well, he took some bag of water and then drank a lot of it. he then thref offunneeded stuff as in the bag of water he just drank. and then continued to ran in the desert hoping to go on during the day when it wil come in... he also had to find a good place to stay when the blazing sun will strke the land ! TO BE CONTINUED... [OOC] Here i accelerated much of the travel to the desert... this way its gonna be less long to make it to that city we all seek ! also... it gives us a hint about my charcater being able to fly only a short distance due to his actual age, since he is a child and not even a teenager, well for his species that is. he never learned how to use them and he had to self teech how... so he can use them, but he rather run to get to different locations... running on two legs he can reech around 25 miles per hour as his TOP SPEED... but on four legs, he can reech up to 3 times that limit ! so he is a fast runner ! hope this helped understand mroe my character... ** TOPIC CLEANED by yours truly ! ** [/OOC] Edited By SSJKarma on April 07 2004 at 08:04 |

onto the story now...[/OOC] In the desert near Kirtsnechiez.A being looks at the town while the sand and wind was waving his long black cape. A voice was remembered by the man... ?:"You'll have to prove yourself, if you want what's yours from right ! Go to the desert city of Kirtsnechiez !" The city was a vaste fortresse that was used during wars long forgotten. the walls that circled around the city were all very high and wooden. the houses were designed to easily withstand any sand storms and the walls around the city were well made, enough for them to even hold their own during a twister ! At the gate lies the man... JARETH:"I'm there !" The being looked around and stopped on the inn. As he walked down to the inn. Something unknown to him was brewing in the nearby cemetery. In that cemetery there was a hold of tombs which were only denoted with sticks forming a cross. but sometimes, when known people died. a big rock with engraved texts were placed as tombstones. At the far end of that cemetery, lies a tomb like no others. inside it, was a man shaped skeleton who's life was about to be restored. The sorcerer was wearing old clothes who were all trashed and a gold ring, a silver necklace with a round shaped jewel in the center. [BACK TO THE SURFACE] Two mans were digging the tomb. When they finished digging it, they openned the coffin. One of the men looked the other and said... Men1:"I told you there was priceless jewels !" With lots of eagerness, the man tooked the necklace by the jewel. But as soon as he touched it, something hapenned... The man yelled loudly as his mind was ripped appart. His spirit was absorbed by the necklace and brought back life to its wearer. [Back to the INN] Jareth was at the bar and was slowly drinking when his eyes turned over to see the door. JARETH:"Its time !" [Back to the cemetery] The dead standed up, as the other man was striked with fear. he wanted to run away. The dead grabbed him by the head and stole his spirit as the man yelled his last word. The sorcerer was laughing as the lifeless body of the man fell on the ground. When a sword striked the sorcerer right in the middle of his chest. the sorcerer all surprised looked around to see who threw the sword. he only saw a man running towards him. SORCERER:"Who are you ?" The sorcerer made a fireball and threw it. but it wasn't strong enough to deal damage. the man jump kicked the sorcere while grabbing his sword. the sorcerer got thrown at the tombstone. the sorcerer didn't had time to move, the man slashed the sorcerer with his sword. The sorcerer's bones were destroyed and separated in half. Its necklace fell on the ground, with the jewel in the center was cracked. Jareth then placed back his sword into its sheath, on his back. then got back inside the inn. TO BE CONTINUED... [OOC] Hey don't take it wrong guys, KALEM you know JARETH, he likes very strong characters. well we spoke alot with roll about his character and we came to the conclusion that his character was damn too strong for this... but me and my cousin been speaking a lot rcently and now we got a good start on his char... he's very good right now... so i guess its gonna be fun playing around. tell me if anything is wrong about this char ok... [/OOC] |
[OOC] I don't think there's anything wrong with the character. He's just well-trained. Just make sure he isn't all-powerful. He'll have to have weaknesses, and they shouldn't be too far-fetched.

"So....um...nice to meet you, Mr... what was your name again?"
"Rawk. It's Rawk. The pleasure's all mine ... I guess." After being placed within the room that belonged to the Blitz clan's Rawk, Akiko found herself half-embaressed, in distress, and very sad. She was really hoping that something like this would not happen at all. However, the least she could do was express herself; after all, if she was to continue into this world, she would have to learn how to sometime. So, she spoke her soul out to the young Wolf-man. Akiko: "I'm really sorry for intruding like this. I honestly didn't think this would ever happen.. I'm so embaressed now." Rawk: "Eh, don't be. I don't get much company anyway." Akiko: "Why? You're so kind!" Rawk noticed that her face grew a tiny bit concerned and really surprised. Rawk: "To tell you the truth ... I don't really know. Must be the whole reputation thing." Akiko: "Reputation? What's that?...Does it hurt?" Rawk laughed at her obvious, yet honest and truthful naiive disposition. "Haha, no, no! A reputation's basically what people think of you, based on something you've done. The problem here is; I don't know what I've done." Akiko: "Then... your reputation with me is a good one! In all honesty, not many people would be so cooperative with a person being intruded in on them, would they?" Rawk: "Well, not here, anyway." Akiko: "Well, I really could not know, so don't worry about giving me any wrong or just premature answers." Rawk: "I wouldn't really know, either. I've been in this mountain range my whole life. All seven-teen years." Akiko: "Really? I've been on that hill far off in that direction..." She took the liberty of the moment to knod in the direction of her home."..for all of my life. Well-- all except for three days when I went with my mother to the desert town." Rawk: "Well, what a coinkidink." Rawk took a glance into the star-engrossed window, and became suddenly expressionless. "Hm, should probably get some sleep." Akiko: "You can do so.. I can't sleep like this, I'm afraid." Rawk: "Heheh, I understand. Being in a village full of wolf-people whom you've probably never seen or heard of before would be quite ... different, to say the least." As Rawk went under his bed sheets, Akiko thought about her situation. Yes, it was true that it was a surprise to see wolf-people; but at the same time, they looked vaguely familiar, or at least very nice to her. She definitely was not afraid of them, but.. then what was her reason? What could she tell him to have him think the truth? She just decided to tell a side-motive instead of her complete motive. She turned to look at Rawk with eyes that glowed and glistened in the starlight ever so slightly. She captured his attention. "That's not it at all, Rawk.. I was on my way to the desert town; I had my heart set on reaching it in the afternoon. ...Yet, because I stopped, it doesn't seem like that will happen anytime soon, will it?" Rawk watched her take an interest in the eastern-most wall. Rawk: "Well, I wouldn't know. Like I said, I've never travelled. Wouldn't know what it's like." He looked out at the stars through the balcony. There was a particularly sparkly one out tonight. Akiko: "I've never done that either. This is my first journey into the world; and, for all I know, it may be my very last as well. I suppose it all depends on the circumstances." Rawk: "Yeah, I guess so. 'Night." Akiko: "...Goodnight, Rawk." She watched him turn under the sheets, and even watched as he drifted off to sleep. She looked out at the starry sky, and though she wanted to be out underneath it and be on her way, she couldn't do that. It would not be right at all; and besides, she would not want a... a bad reputation. She sat down, and kept her little ball of light outside so she could still be illuminated ever so slightly, yet be able to watch the stars twinkle away into the ever moving light of the rising sun. She smiled as she saw it rise, and walked outside onto the balcony to try and get a better view. When she stepped onto the balcony, she smiled gently at the ball of light; and, without being disturbed by the sunlight, she sung that small simple melody that she had learned not too long ago. As she sung so quietly, she could have sworn that the wind was blowing the tune in it's soft whispers. [ooc] Razz has a follow-up coming, apparantly. ^-^; Surprisingly enough, we met up and decided to write the conversation together, while we were in character. It came out nicely; though I ended up changing a few words here and there for Akiko for it to make sense.. anyway, that's all for this post! [/ooc] |
<span style='font-size:27pt;line-height:100%'>---DING---DING---DING---</span>
"What the!" Rawk jumped out of bed. He ran toward his balcony, almost tripping over his own feet, and looked outside into the distance. "Oh ... no. "Akiko! Get up!" "Ack, what's that noise?" she was startled. "We're being invaded!" Rawk ran over to Akiko and cut the rope from her hands. He grabbed her by the wrist and began to run down the hall. "Rawk!" she shouted, "I can't run this fast!" Rawk swung her into his arms and kept running. Finally, they got outside to see the large formation of clan Blitz, ready for battle. They all watched the mountains ahead with wide eyes and tense muscles -- ready to leap and fight at any moment. It was quiet ... and everyone was sweating with anticipation. "Giaaaagh!" A Loach screamed and fell down. Everyone looked that way, and the wolfman beside him knelt down and turned his body over ... There was a shureiken lodged into his chest. The Loach stood up and yelled, "Ninjas!" Suddenly, like a coloney of ants, an army of green-uniformed ninjas swarmed down the mountains. Fearlessly and savagely they swung out their blades and began to slash and hack everywhere around them; a method of intimidation before the battle. The armies collided as cries and screams were heard throughout the mountain range, echoeing the horrors of the battle field. Rawk, no longer with the girl in his arms, grabbed Akiko by the hand and dashed toward a boulder. They ducked down behind it in an attempt to avoid battle. "Rawk, why is this happening? Why are they fighting like this?" There were almost tears in Akiko's eyes. "Because ... because that is a clan of savages. They have an ever-growing thirst for blood and they love to quench it," Rawk replied. "But what has your clan done to make them angry at you?" "Absolutely nothing. That's why we gotta leave; you're in danger here." "So, you're just going to leave your people when they need you?" "They don't need me. They never have. Don't worry, they can fend for themselves. Just then, a ninja jumped in front of Rawk and slashed his sword at Rawk's face. The Loach moved out of the way and gave the ninja a nice big punch in the gut, sending him slowly to the ground in pain. Rawk looked ahead at their route of escape; it was guarded by several ninjas. "Okay, Akiko, when we get over there," Rawk pointed at the path they were going to take, "I want you to go hide behind that rock." "Okay ... but why?" "I gotta clear the way..." They both sprinted away. Soon, Akiko turned and jumped behind a large boulder as Rawk continued to run straight. The ninjas ahead saw him coming and took a defensive stance. As Rawk came close, he leaped into the air, but not too high, and knocked the first ninja to the ground with a fast kick to the face that snapped its neck. He landed and rolled to the right, dodging a quick slash. He stood up and punched a ninja in the chest, shooting him at another ninja behind him. Rawk jumped forward and landed, crushing both of their necks with each foot. There was one left. With his sword flailing infront of his body, the ninja charged at Rawk, who jumped over the ninja and kicked him in the back before he hit the ground, severring the ninja's spine. Rawk ran toward the boulder where Akiko was and saw a ninja lying on the ground with Akiko standing over it. Rawk smirked and nodded his head as if to say that he was impressed. "Come, let's go!" He said. And the two ran off and followed the path, never looking back. [OOC]Roll, if you'd like to pick up from there, that would be great :D .[/OOC] Edited By Razz on April 14 2004 at 19:23 |
After being attacked by something as fearsome as a Ninja, Akiko was absolutely sure that this world was really not a safe place to be in. Luckily for her, she felt that at the very least she would be safe as long as she was with Rawk. The path they were taking appeared to be heading east; in the direction of the desert town. Though Akiko did wonder about the well-being of the Blitz clan, she did not stop to turn around and run back; she had her own mission to take care of right now. However, she did stop anyway. When Rawk turned to look at her, he saw her eyes just pierce into his own. A droplet of sweat ran down the side of his face, just as she inquired whether or not he would go back and help them. However, Rawk just did what was contrary to Akiko's thoughts in him. He refused to go back; at least until she was safe. So, continuing on, Akiko and Rawk began to run against all odds and figures to reach a land that was not too far away. They could reach it very soon if they continued to run like this.
However, as Akiko was within moments of reaching her awaited desert town, the feeling that she was going to be left alone again was starting to come over her. She had no idea where she was going to go from there, and she didn't know where anything was anymore. When they did reach the town walls, a Gatekeeper opened the gates for them. Akiko entered; but Rawk did not. Akiko quickly rolled outside before the gate could close her inside, and she stood up in front of Rawk. If they were going to seperate, and if he was going to go alone, she was going to make him promise. Akiko: "Rawk, are you going back to the battlefield?" Rawk looked at her through serious, and untouched eyes. "Yes." Akiko smiled sympathetically. "I think I can understand; you do have to watch your clan and take care of them. You should hurry back to them, and help them all out." Rawk grinned. "Right!" He started to run off, when Akiko started and he delayed for a moment longer. "What is it?" Akiko walked up to him once again. "Just promise me that no matter what happens, you'll come back here and tell me and show me that you are safe and sound. Promise?" Rawk: "Sure. It's a promise." He turned to leave again, when Akiko grabbed his left arm. He was almost getting annoyed with this. Akiko spun him around to be face to face with Akiko's little finger. She held it out to him, as if she expected him to do something to it; furthermore, her eyes were sparkling with sadness and care. "Yubikiri." Rawk didn't get it at all. "All you have to do, is hold my pinky with your pinky. It's a pinky promise, like the word means." Rawk rolled his eyes with more annoyance. "There's no use in doing that! I already promised you!" But then, Akiko made a little whining sound that sent a wave of sadness through him. He began to pity her, and suddenly found himself consenting to the pinky promise with a fuzzy finger. After holding onto his little finger for about a minute or so, she let him run off. She walked up to the gatekeeper, who let her in again and shut the gate a fraction of a second after she entered. After just recieving a very close death experience with a wooden piece of gatery equipment, Akiko walked into the town to explore the many wonderous indoor areas. She passed by merchant, after merchant, after merchant, after merchant, until she came up to a small little street corner that was crowded. She walked over to see what was going on. Then she gasped in a certain air that caused the entire crowd to turn and stare at her. What she had seen, and what she was looking at right now, was a very peculiar and nasty activity. It was an animal baiting. This time, it was with a small fox that didn't look more than a year and a half old. She pushed her way through the crowd, and pulled people out of her way, and then upon reaching the baiters, she pushed them away from the scared Fox. She walked over to the fox and sat in front of it; the poor thing was badly beaten, and scratches and bruises could even be seen on its body. Akiko held her arms open to the fox, who stared continuously. He, as Akiko found out when he twitched his ear in confusion and acceptance, walked into her arms, and let her hold him. She smiled gently upon him, whereupon the baiters who previously beat upon the poor animal stood over both of them in anger. They began to scream so many things at the same times, that Akiko did not understand them. However, she did not care; she simply stood up and faced them. Akiko: "I don't care what your reasons are; if you continue to hurt animals of the earth this way, they won't be here anymore!" The baiters did not seem to understand. Instead, the pitchforks and sticks that they used to bait the fox came in one thrust, and Akiko was only able to evade the pitchforks while guarding the already beaten fox from the sticks. When she turned around to look at them again, the men didn't seem guiltful or regretful. This wasn't at all like her mother told her it would be. Her mother never told her people would act like this. Even the people around them weren't as her mother spoke of: instead, they all stood still and stared while the men did as they pleased. Whether this was a ritual of some kind was still some news to Akiko, but she would not stand for it any longer. She hopped a little further backward into the corner, and summoned her energy and voice to come forth. She whispered something short in a chant, and continuously said it, until winds began to torrent themselves around Akiko and the pink light of the orb began to show around her. Soon, the wind took the light, and the light carried the chant of the now serious-looking Akiko. The chant carried itself through the winds, and the winds formed into large circular discs that flung themselves forward and into the men. The men, who didn't seem to be affected by this at all, only goggled at the bright lights as if stupefied by their sudden appearance. As they watched the disks spin and spin, some of the crowd could hear the chanting continuing; though Akiko's mouth was not moving at all. Akiko was also still holding the torrent of wind around her that was starting to blow dust and sand every where around her; but this was only the start. Suddenly, the men began screaming in random outbursts, as Akiko's eyes still held their gaze, and the lights began to encase the mens bodies. Within seconds, the screams were continuous, and more people were starting to gather around Akiko and the baiters. It seemed that whatever torture Akiko was giving them was never to end; but then the fox whinnied, and shuddered in her arms, and the winds and lights died down along with the sense of her gaze. She looked at the wounded fox in her arms, and she ran away, leaving the people of the town to marve| at the men who were now making random twitches, wild fits of giggles, and crude facial expressions. Akiko, it seems, did not know what happened during the torture, and probably would not find out from anyone in the town lest they should be racked into insanity as well. |
The city of Kirtsnechiez was magnificent to see during the night. It was as active during the day and night. Many lights were making it dazzling. It was like a jewel in the middle of the desert. The city was surrounded by a wall that protected it from the frequent sand storm. Kirtsnechiez was known for being a merchant city. Each week, the habitant organized a fair and welcomed lot of merchant coming from everywhere. Arthus thought he was dreaming, he never saw the city from that angle. Knowing he would never be welcomed, he landed west from the city and climbed the wall.
Arthus:"Well I gotta find a good place to rest during the day or I'll be in trouble. These bushes will be perfect... hope I'll make it through. How can I be alive again after all these years? I should have died 100 years ago, oh Amelia I'm terribly sorry... I couldn't protect you from this maniac. Cyrus!!! If you're really alive, I'll make you pay for all your crimes." Suddenly, Arhus heard a noise comming from the alley. A cat come out of a barrel and run as fast as he could. Arthus:"I gotta calm myself or I'll be discovered before the sunrise. Now that I'm thinking, this guy....... Udes, doesn't belong to these mountains. I've seen his clan before but where? A humanoid tiger........ with green fur and black stripes........ and he has wings............where could it be??? Now I got it!!! He's from the forest of Thoas, but his people never leave the forest. What could happen to his clan?" When the first sunbeam come out in the sky, Arthus's body turn to stone. Alone in the bushes, he was hoping to stay in one piece when the night will come. TO BE CONTINUED... |
Udes was tired, he had been running all night after that thing. he had stopped wondering about th estory that thing had said considering that it couldn't be true anyway. The sun was about to rise and he knew one thing, desert meant sun and sun meant death in this place. He now hoped he was going in the right direction. When he saw in the wall of Kirtsnechiez far in front of him. He smiled and ran even faster !
*Udes lift's himself back on his two feets and deployed his wings* UDES:"I'm arrived and the sun is rising" *Udes looked around* UDES:"Hmmm... that creature is nowhere to be found. maybe it didn't came here after all. after i lost it in the desert, i wasn't sure if i was to arrive in time. oh well guess i'm just lucky for once in my life !" GUARD:"Who goes there ?" UDES:"Just a traveler who seek refuge for the day !" GUARD:"You may enter !" The doors openned just enough for udes to pass. As soon as he entered he looked around and saw a crowd speaking. as if something terrible had hapenned. he came in closer to see it. as soon as he entered the crowd, he heard the people speaking of a girl who tortured two man just because they were poking at a fox ! UDES:{two man on a fox, they deserved it !} UDES left the crowd and seeked for the closest INN. as he entered the inn. people turned to him and looked at him with surprised eyes, as if they never saw such a creature before. seconds later half of them continued to play their dice games. the other half still wondered and started conversations about it. but udes didn't care anymore, he had seen that too many times already so he walked to the innkeeper and asked for a room ! INNKEEPER:"Sorry sir, but we have none availlable for now." UDES:"ok, do you know any other place i could spend the day and relax. i ran all night and am really tired !" INNKEEPER:"There is another inn near the middle of the town. take the center road you cannot miss it !" UDES:"Thanks for the info sir !" MAN:"Why don't you sleep on the floor like the cat you are kid !" *Everyone turned to look at scene* UDES:"And why don't you just lie dead like the coward you are ?" Udes didn't even cared and walked his way out. but the man followed outside and spoke. MAN:"Coward you say, i'll show you what it is to respect people kid !" UDES:"Respect, a word you don't even seem to understand since even you don't know what it is !" MAN:"Say that again just to see !" UDES:"Don't need to, besides i don't wanna fight you. i'm tired and i don't want any more battle to happen, i seen too much already ! now if you'll excuse me !" and udes continued to walk disregarding the man who still was speaking. udes walked down the central lane when he kinda saw something... The day was soon fully hatched, and the sparkling sunlight that passed through the gates soon began to fade away, as the lamps began to fire up (the city was indoors, after all). The entire merchant district was full of life, and the children were being put out of their beds and onto the busy schedules of play. Mothers were wisking up breakfast for their hard working families, and the husbands were grinning over tables seated with aquaintances and friends all alike; coincidentally, not many of the mothers seemed to fond of this. However, a small girl holding a sleeping fox walking down the main street seemed to be the only thing to notice to a few people. They watched the spectactle of the girl with the odd colored hair, and eyes of dangerous color, as she passed by holding a fox like a baby in her arms.
Akiko, however, did not notice the stares and looks. She was simply busy lulling the fox into a deeper sleep with her special song, and it was working very well too: the fox was fast asleep and was barely even moving, besides using his lungs to breathe and the occasional lick and twitch that came with a new dream image. While Akiko didn't understand this very much, she felt very.. different. She did not understand this brand new feeling which came to her. It was pulsing through her body, even as she sung and walked, and continued to make her feel somewhat bigger than she was. She felt very bloated for some reason, and that became accompanied by a bit of light-footedness. She felt as if she were walking on thin air, and that she could even dance well. Though, she dare not try it for the sake of keeping the fox asleep and safe. When Akiko finally stopped singing, the fox began to snuggle up to the previously singing spectacle. Whether Akiko felt proud or empathetic, she could never know. Instead, she stopped walking altogether, and watched as a slightly furry figure, who was shadowed up ahead, was moving towards her. She smiled, and picked up her pace: perhaps it was Rawk, returned from his journey! While it seemed strange he would return so soon, Rawk was very fast, and could get here to there and back in no time at all! Or so Akiko reasoned; as it turned out, when the creature came closer, it was actually a green-furred beast with some black stripes here and there. Surprisingly enough, he stopped and looked her over; thus, Akiko stopped and let him look her over as a droplet of sweat ran down her face. His eyes narrowed in suspicion, and then they changed to surprise and questionability, and soon she was confronted with a look of apathy mixed with wonder. "So you're the girl who defended the fox from those men, huh?" the green beast said. Akiko nodded at the beast, who was apparantly male. "Yes, I am... my name is Akiko, and this is the fox." "Akiko, huh? Wierd name. Well, my name is Udes. Nice to meet a fellow nature lover and protecter. Keep it up." Akiko: (Udes, huh? And you said my name was strange..) "Oh.. alright..." The beast picked up his pace again, but before he could leave, he heard the girl call his name again. He turned around to listen to her. Akiko: "...Udes, where are you going to go to?" Udes: "That, young lady, isn't much of your business; but I'm just going to go to an inn. But you should go too. It's getting late." Akiko: "Maybe so... Yes you are right. But I still cannot go." Udes: "..why not?" He had a though in a split second and chuckled. "Scared of me too, huh?" Akiko: "No, that's not true! I've someone like you, only with different fur color, and without the wings... and his nose is kinda big too.." She proceeded to place one hand a few inches away from her face. "..Like this." Udes laughed a little bit, but soon stopped and went back into his serious manner. "If that's not it, then why not go to the inn too? It is late.." Akiko smiled and shook her head. "I'm going to go to the gates and wait for someone. I'm waiting for him to return again.. I'm waiting for him to come back." Udes: "Is that so? Well, ok then. Good luck. I hope you see your friend again." Akiko nodded in agreement, waved goodbye, and ran off. Udes couldn't help feel sad for the girl; the way she devoted herself to waiting like that. Oh well; He continued on in silence, and Akiko ran in the same way. Moments after she reached the gate, she sat down and watched through the gate, hoping for a figure, any figure at all, to come in. Minutes passed... then one hour.... and soon many hours passed, and the sun began to fall. Then more hours went by, and the moon came into view. The sparkling of the stars was becoming remarkable, as another hour flew past, and there was still no sign of Rawk. She sat there, in front of the gate, and watched carefully for any sign of life that would appear at any time within the desert, other than the soft midnight breeze that blew gently through the air. Yet, nothing stirred; nothing at all. In fact, the only thing that Akiko could tell was awake was herself, and the only beings who she knew were alive for sure, were herself and the fox that was cradled in her arms. She sat there, in the glistening milk-white moonlight, and waited expectantly for her first and only friend to return to her...at least once more. Edited By Roll on April 22 2004 at 01:53 |

Udes had found the inn and had passed several hours sleeping, in the middle of the day he woke up prepared and visited the city while being on a shopping spree. not much of a shopping spree, he just bought what he needed to get to the next city.
He now returned to the inn, but he found himself back at the entrance gate. When he saw it he was angry to see hw was lost again ! surely he took a wrong turn at one place, no matter now he could see the main street so he wouldn't have any trouble getting back. but as he was about to turn back, he saw the little girl he had spoken to earlier and he wondered... UDES:"That girl, was she waiting there all day ? and i thought i was devoted when i was in a fight, damn she beat all record in patience. she's so young why is she waiting like that, by now i think she must know that her friend might not come back ! so why still waiting ?" Udes wondered like that all the way back to the inn, the night had started to fall already. he got into the inn and saw a merchant in it that was selling some blanket. he thought about the girl. the desert was maybe very sunny and all very hot during the day but surely it was very cold during the night ! He bought one since they were cheap. he came back to the gate after it, by the time he got back to the gate it was already in the middle of the nght ! UDES came in, she hadn't even noticed him, she was looking at the sky, at the stars and was wondering about something. Udes came in closer, took out the blanket and spoke. UDES:"You sure are patient miss... here, the night can be very cold sometimes !" TO BE CONTINUED... [OOC]Roll, you're so good at making conversation, so i'll let you handle the rest of it. my charcater maybe staying with her as being alone waiting is far from acceptable, even tho she has the fox with her, my hcaracter cannot help it. it's in his nature ![/OOC] |
[OOC] it was that long? Two days? Ech, that won't work ... well, I guess I could try. I'll post in a bit, so ... yeah.[/OOC]

Dreams that seem real.
After having said for that masked man to come down, the entire area started swirling around and making Takin as dizzy as he could possibly go. Then after a few minutes, he passed out and fell into darkness..... A person appeared and slowly walked toward him. Takin couldn't move... What was he going to do now? The person reached him, and put a hand on Takin's shoulder. By the feeling of it, the person was a woman. "You're sick again... Your dreams must be the cause....." Takin: "Wh.... What.......?" *sigh* "There's no other way." *removes her hand from Takin's shoulder and grips her wooden staff and mutters a spell under her breath.* "You have been cursed by the Dark Geatz. He's used his extremely unforgiving Demon Dream spell..... I can heal you. Just stay still for a bit." *casts her HEAL spell.* Takin: ".......Thanks." *stands up and looks around* "? Where are we?" *waits for answer.... hears nothing. looks to see if girl is still there. She isn't.* "What now..." "WHO GOES THERE?" Takin: !?!? *gigantic statue appears in front of Takin's face.* "YOU. YOU'RE TAKIN. THE ONE MISHI TOLD ME ABOUT." Takin: "Who is Mishi!?" "SILENCE. I WILL NOT TELL YOU WHO SHE IS. FIRST, YOU MUST PROVE YOURSELF." Takin: "Will this take long?" "AS LONG AS IT TAKES." The Test [ooc]Statue's stats will be posted later. In next post, I'll be using the last url I posted. Just to let you know ;) |
Over rocks and logs, through bushes and trees, Rawk dashed toward "Blitz Keep," as the clan called it. Finally, he reached the first mountain and ran through the trail. As he zoomed through the pass, he suddenly stopped in his tracks. His eyes were wide, and his mouth was open in disbelief. Rawk searched for a word to say ... but all he could do was clench his fists. He stood there ... not a thought in his head, not a movement in his body until finally, a drop of rain landed on his forhead as others dropped nearby.
Rawk released all of his energy in one movement - his chest out forward with his arms and legs leaning back - and he screamed with all of his might. He roared in dispair untill his lungs could not take anymore. Half-choking, he fell to the ground, splashing in the mud beneath him. He stayed there for hours ... cold and alone. He could not find comfort even in a star, as the clouds had covered the sky. At long last, a single thought sprung into his head that laid flat in puddle of mud. " ... Akiko." Slowly, Rawk lifted his body off of the ground and took one last look at the place he once called home. "Goodbye," he said with a tear as he turned away and ran the way he came. |
From the window of the inn, a dark figure looked at the town. A small laugh with a smile was heard as he saw the girl throwing the mens into insanity. As he looked at the girl, he was wondering if that move was self-willed. was she cruel or was it that she didn't knew her gift and her rage took over ? It looked at her running with the fox toward the alley.
Later on, as he still looked at the crowd speaking to each others... he saw a tiger like creature passing thru the gate. It looked at the creature coming toward the inn, the figure climbed the stairs down to the entrance of the inn and looked at the tiger-like creature ! Jareth looked at the creature and how it spoke. as the man answered with some insults, but foremost at how the creature answered the man. jareth found it good to his hears to hear the creature's arrogance and it made him want to know more about that creature ! As the tiger like creature came out of the inn, Jareth climbed the stairs up to his room again. As the first glimpse of the night started to fall, Jareth climbed down of his room and was gone to make some shopping before the merchants closed their doors. as he came back, he saw the tiger-like creature giving a blanket to the little girl with the fox. Jareth wondered about the fact that now he saw the creature speaking in a way jareth didn't hear him speak before. he took an old scroll out, openned it and looked at it. TO BE CONTINUED... [OOC]i know darkness couldn't be used for a long time ok, but the dark figure was just a ways to speak as to that he was in shadows more then anything else ![/OOC] |
Akiko turned her head sideways to look at the familiar voice, and wasn't all too surprised to see Udes standing over her with a loincloth smack-dab in the midst of her direct straight-forward sight. Looking up at the face that was Udes (and not really bearing much attention or knowledge to the fact that the loin cloth was blowing up with the wind; not that she would know how to react), she answered him and pushed the blanket away softly.
"You should hold on to that. I don't need it." Udes looked at his blanket, and repeated the proposal. After refusing it once more, Udes gave up and took a seat next to her. His wings gave a quick little twitch, which would have startled Akiko if she wasn't so absorbed into looking into the twilight topped sand. He looked at her face, and at the way she watched the terrain so intently. She didn't seem to waver in any of her thoughts or movements; there weren't even any movements to speak of. She barely even blinked, though it was only to prevent herself from losing any detail at all of the land spread before her, lest that she should miss the sight of her dear friend approach her once more. Udes: "...Are you alright?" Akiko continued to stare at the world. "Yes, I'm fine, thank you." Udes decided to try again, but this time he would be more blunt to the matter. "Why aren't you asleep?" Akiko turned to look at him again. Akiko: "I do not want to sleep. Not yet, at least. I am still waiting for my friend to arrive; when he does arrive, then I might sleep, but not a moment sooner." Udes: "But why? It won't make a difference if you wait; and you do need to rest like everyone else." Akiko: "I'm waiting for him to come because I said I would wait." Udes' eyes gained a little bit of shine in small surprise. "If I were to go to sleep, then I would not be waiting for him. I would be sleeping, and I would be in the comfort of dreams and timeless moments. I wouldn't be holding on to my promise anymore, and I wouldn't be doing as I told I was going to do. That would be misleading, and it would be unfair to him." Udes became suddenly more interested in a pebble that lay on the ground nearby his knee. As he poked it back and forth in continuous cycles, Akiko continued to watch him. Feeling that she may have perhaps struck something within him that may have hurt his feelings, she decided to change the subject. Akiko: "Why are you awake at this hour?" Udes still looked at the pebble: "I don't know. I am not very tired, I suppose." Akiko: "Oh.. well, why did you come to talk to me? I notice that no other being in this town has tried to do so for this entire day." Udes: "I just wanted to see how you were doing. There is no shame in that, is there?" Akiko smiled softly. "No. None at all." Udes' face became suddenly serious. He finally decided to ask the question that bore down on his mind so harshly for the past few moments during and after her expressions. "Are you alone?" Akiko's smile vanished. "I beg your pardon?" Udes: "I asked whether or not you are alone; as in, without family, or friends in this town. Are you?" Akiko only nodded to him, and held the fox just smidge tighter than a second before. Udes: "Why are you alone?" No answer came. Udes: "Did you run away from your family? Did they leave you? Were you adopted by people, and taken away from people who you cared about?" Still no answer came. Instead, Akiko just turned her head to watch the sky sparkle and glisten. Udes noticed a little glistening in her eyes as well when he watched her closely. Udes: "Tell me why you are alone." Akiko closed her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, the glistening was more brilliant, and Akiko's voice came pouring out in soft, slow, melodic beats. Akiko: "My father and mother are both dead and gone. I have no brothers and sisters... and I am very new to the world around me. I have just left my home not too long ago, and this is my first venture out and into the world. So, that, Udes, is why I am sitting here before you so lonesome." Udes took another moment before speaking. "This is your first time out of your home?" "Yes." Udes: "So you do not have any friends yet, then." Akiko: "No. I do have a friend; and I am just waiting for him to come back, so I can know if he is ok or not." Udes: "I see..." Akiko: "Why do you want to know this?" Udes: "Eh?" Akiko: "Why do you want to know about why I am so alone? Why do you, out of every one person, come to me to find out about how I can be so stray?" Udes: "I was just concerned. I noticed you sitting here during the day, and then I came to see you sitting here still after doing a little bit of shopping. There is nothing wrong in that, is there?" Akiko looked down at the pebble Udes had busied himself with not too long ago. "No, there is nothing wrong with that." Udes sighed. "It's not that I was trying to be wierd or anything, it's just that I was really concerned about you. No one should stay by themselves like you are; away from everyone and everything, while just waiting in one spot for something to happen. It's not healthy." Akiko: "But I don't have anything else." Udes did not understand very well. Akiko: "I have nothing else within my life, and I don't have anything to say or do, or anyone to know or look for. I only have my lost friend, and this little fox, and at the current moment, you. There is nothing else right now." Udes did not want to understand anymore. Akiko: "If I had something else, then I would be out in the world just as happy as those people in this town are. I could frolic through every situation in glee and in utter happiness, while at the same time remaining at peace and in harmony with the world. Better yet, I could be not alone. .....but I am alone, and there is nothing else, except for something that I have to look for that may not even be here anymore. If I cannot find it, then I will have probably lost it forever." Udes quietly shifted around to become a tiny bit more comfortable. The words that came out of Akiko's mouth were almost too honest for his liking. Something about her, even with small, quick glances, was definitely pitiful and sad. "...How about I wait with you then?" Akiko looked up at him in confusion. "Why?" Udes: "Well, I can't leave ya alone, now, can I? Besides, I'm not really going anywhere anytime soon, with the gatekeeper being gone and away from his post. I'm not sleepy either, so what else can I do at this time of night." It was true that the Gatekeeper was gone and in his home now with his family. He had been sitting at his post all day, working up a sweat in the immense heat, and left the area swearing and insisting that he had lost at least 16 pounds in sweat water in just that morning. Akiko could remember how he walked away looking completely wet and dazed, like he had a mild heat stroke. Akiko: "No, I suppose not. But are you sure you'd like to wait with me? It could be a while until the person who I am waiting for returns.." Udes thought on this. He did have someplace to go, and his time might be better spent by going and doing something else. However, his honorable side would let him leave Akiko alone; it was sad and bad to see a girl alone like that, and no right man would let that stand. Besides, if he became really tired of it, he could just get up and leave at anytime: she didn't seem to notice or mind anything else anyway. So, he answered and expressed his emotions in a nice, complicated answer to Akiko. Udes: "Yeah, I don't mind." Akiko turned and looked ahead at the horizon in her transfixed gaze again, whereupon, she lost all connection with the world around her once more. Filled with wonders and hopes and dreams of things to come in her brand new adventure, Akiko's mind was bursting with ideas and thoughts. When she thought of the events passed in the few days that came to pass, and what had happened just now, she could count only a few large blessings. Then one more thought crossed her mind. Perhaps Udes, too, would be her friend? Edited By Roll on April 24 2004 at 07:33 |
General:"Sir, the enemy has passed our defense. We won't be able to retain them. What should we do?"
Arthus:"Call your mens and retreat, there's no other choise. Take the secret passage beneath the castle and I'll meet you in two days at Kirtsnechiez." General:"Yes my lord!!!" Cyrus:"You won't be able to escape this time. my brother!" A lightning comming from the window transpierced the general and made him explode. Arthus take his sword and prepared himself for another attack. Suddenly, he wasn't able to move a muscle. Cyrus:"Sorry bro but I'm tired of these little games." Arhus:"Fight fare Cyrus!!! Leave your damn magic and face me." Amelia:" Help me Arthus!!! HELP ME!!!" Arthus:"Amelia... Where are you? What have you done to her? Cyrus:"She's mine now and she didn't need you anymore." Arthus:"You're just a sadist, leave her alone or I'll..." Cyrus:"You can't help her. Admit it my brother, YOU FAILED... Arthus:"NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........" His stone shell flew in glare and he fell on the ground. Arthus:"It was just a dream........ the same dream who haunts me for a hundred years." ?:"Have you heard that noise? ?:"Yeah I think it was comming from this way." Arthus jumped out of the bushes and climbed the wall. He letted himself slide along the wall and ran toward the north of the city. He stopped moving when he heard voices. One was the one of a girl and the second was familiar. He leaned over and saw udes who was speaking with a young girl with blue hair. Arthus:"Could she be??? No it can't be.........She must be dead by now......But she looks like her. Amelia, is that you my dear? Wake up Arthus, a hundred years had passed she can't be alive. Well, I got nothing to loose... He moved around the wall and walked toward them ! Arthus:"It seems that you've found a way out. It's a great night don't you think?" Udes (holding his sword):"What are you doing here?" UDES:{Father, are you still alive ?}
Udes was running in the forest, running without looking back and see what those sounds were from. when he looked back, some shadowy creatures were closing in on him, he didn't knew what to do. fear struck him and he just stood there waiting for them to do what they were coming to do ! Has udes closed his eyes and hoped for better, he heard a roar that was coming in front of him, as he openned his eyes to see what hapenned, his mother was there, trying her best to defend her son. MOTHER:"RUN UDES RUN !" UDES:"MOTHER !!!!!!!!" UDES didn't knew what to do, all he could do at that moment was wait and see, hoping her mom would easily defeat those creatures. But the reality was that his mother was not strong enough. she got knocked out cold and he couldn't believe it. He ran toward her without caring for the creatures around her. UDES:"MOTHER !!!!!!!!!!" He got knocked as well, one of the creature was about to finish him off, when a wooden sword came in... UDES could easily know who it was. it was the SWORD OF THOAS the legendary INDESTRUCTIBLE SWORD made out of the eldest tree inthe THOAS FOREST. UDES father, also chief of the RED LEAF clan, was there fighting off the hordes. He took udes in his arms and ran away, tears where coming out from UDES father, it was the first time udes ever saw his father crying. [BACK TO REALITY] UDES:"Father..." AKIKO:"Huh ?, what did you say ?" UDES:"Nothing..." AKIKO could see UDES tears in his eyes. as if there conversation had awakenned a tragic event or something. She didn't wanna make him cry and she didn't want to ask even more, but her curiosity toward it was strong. she wanted to know why he had tears in his eyes. AKIKO:"Why are you crying ?" UDES:"i'm not crying !" AKIKO:"Those are tears in your eyes ! why ?" UDES:"Long story !" AKIKO:"We got time !" *UDES wyped the tears.* UDES:"Well speaking with you just made me remember my father. He was the RED LEAF clan leader. i'm on my way to see if he is still alive ?" AKIKO:"Why are you saying that ?" UDES:"Because last time i saw him, he was attacked, this was three years ago !" AKIKO:"oh, It's such a sad story..." UDES:"You see, my father saved me back then after losing my mom to them, he and i ran away, but half way to the exit, my father gave me his sword and asked me to go on without him." AKIKO:"Why so ?" UDES:"My father was the leader of the clan. He just culdn't leave without fighting along side the warriors of the village !" AKIKO:"Oh... so you wandered for the last 3 years !" UDES:"Yeah, i lived my..." *UDES hears twitched* *UDES lifted himselfup and grabbed his sword handle.* UDES:"Who's there ?" Arthus:"It seems that you've found a way out. It's a great night don't you think?" Udes (holding his sword):"YOU !!!!! What are you doing here ?" TO BE CONTINUED... Edited By SSJKarma on April 27 2004 at 18:35 |
Akiko looked at this new creature that had appeared in front of the gate. She did not make any movements, nor did she seem surprised to see this new creature; after what she had already seen, nothing could truly surprise her anymore. However, her worries about Rawk did increase just ever so slightly, which wasn't something she needed. Luckily, this new arrival was an excuse to derive her thoughts from Rawk -- even if it was just for a little while.
This new creature, it seemed, had a gray-colored skin, and had claws that began to show themselves in the moonlight as he stood still in watch. Like Udes, he also had wings; although, they were larger, and probably allowed for better flight when put to use. However, Akiko still didn't know what he was, and curiousity was starting to push out its ever vigilant head. "Udes?" Udes turned to look at Akiko. Akiko: "Udes, do you know him? If you do, what exactly is he?" Before Udes could respond, Arthus took the opportunity to step forward and introduce himself formally to Akiko. He lightly took up her hand, and looked at her. Arthus: "My name is Arthus, from the land of Avalon; and I am a.. gargoyle." Akiko: "Pleased to meet you, Arthus. But that still doesn't explain why Udes said 'What are you doing here' to you. Do you know each other?" Udes: "We met fairly recently, yes." Akiko: "Then why do you stand ready for combat? Is he a bad guy?" Arthus: "No, no! God, no... I'm just a wandering Gargoyle, searching for answers...." Akiko: "So what are the questions?" Arthus blinked at stared at this question, which was way too naiive to be honest; although, it really was an honest question from Akiko. He beckoned Udes to the side, and asked him about it. That's when they figured out that neither knew much about her in the first place, though Arthus had more of an excuse than Udes. When they returned to Akiko, they found her staring through the gates, and holding the fox in her arms in a gentle, caressing feel. They just stood there, and watched for a moment: Udes just watched to see how the fox reacted, but Arthus watched for another reason. What the reason was, apparantly, was not something Akiko or Udes could muster up a theory for. Instead, Udes sat down again, and Arthus, who did not wish to feel left out at this point, sat down on the other side of Akiko. She turned her head to look at them both, one at a time. "Are you both going to stay here with me?" Udes: "You already know my answer.." Arthus: "And I suppose I can spare a few moments of time..." Akiko: "I'm not going to say you can or cannot, so, do as you wish. If you wish to ever leave, then you may at any time. I won't hold it against you; for I'm a little busy in waiting for my friend." Arthus: "So you say.." ...but the questionable thought in Arthus' mind, was whether she would remember and hold her word to mind if and when he decided to leave. Though, he questioned her about who she was waiting for, and got the same hand gestures and answers that Udes recieved. Leaving her to her silent, and forever watchful gazing, Arthus pondered inside of his own mind in search of any answers that he could already have to any questions that could have arisen at any time. |
Over the sand dunes, and over the rocks, Rawk ( :) ) ran toward the sparkling city. The dancing dome of light surrounding it in the dark was something that Rawk had never seen before; it was quite the sight.
Soon enough, he got to the gate. [OOC]Okay, today is TOTALLY not an RP day for me, but I promised Roll that I'd post (not that this post will do much good). So, if you guys would wanna work with this, that would be grand. But if not, just tell me and I'll add to this post as soon as I can.[/OOC] |
Akiko stood up very suddenly, startling both Udes and Arthus but keeping the fox safely tucked away and sleeping, as she had seen something moving closer and closer to the gate. She looked as hard as she could towards that person, and tried to make out the body. How she prayed that it would be Rawk over the horizon. Perhaps her prayers were answered! She quickly stuffed a now very startled fox into Arthus' arms ("What am I supposed to do with it?!"), and she raced up to the gate, and stuck her head through the bars to see as far as she could. Perhaps it would be him after all? She looked closer, and saw the one clue she needed to see in order to tell whether or not it was him: a small little thing was moving, but was off the ground and was behind the shadowed figure.
She dashed over to where the gatekeepers hut was, and found a manual turning gear. She decided that might be the thing that opened the gate; therefore, she went up to it, and began turning as fast and as hard as she could. Soon enough, she found that she was right: the gate was now opened up, and she could now leave to go and get to him before anyone could see him and say a word. She hopped out of the window of the hut, and ran straight out into the desert. She ran as fast as she could, and soon, the image became so clear, that her running almost didn't stop; at least not until she almost tackled Rawk into a nice, warm and welcoming hug. Rawk, needless to say, was very surprised and somewhat speechless in this act. Then again, it could have been because Akiko was hugging as tight as she could, and it would be somewhat difficult to breathe for him. Akiko certainly did not know, but when he slowly pushed her away, she didn't care to notice either. She was just happy he was back. Akiko: "Rawk, please, tell me how you are doing? Is everything well?" Rawk: "I-- um..... yeah, Akiko. Everything's.. just fine." Akiko: "Wonderful! So is everyone back at your village ok?" Rawk: "..Yeah, they're just.. fine. They just need a little bit of time to rest." Akiko: "..oh... then should you be going back to help them out?" Rawk: "Are you joking? They don't need me now! They're just fine on their own.. and besides, I couldn't let you go on alone, now could I?" Akiko blinked, and though she did not really understand what he was talking about, she was still happy that he was back again. She lightly grabbed his hand, and began to pull him back into the city, with a happy smile on her face, and a relieved look on Rawk's. When they made it back, Akiko was sure to introduce Rawk and the others to each other, and the fox escaped from Arthus' grasp and into Akiko's arms again. Feeling very snug right now, and very much not alone, Akiko sat down against a nearby tree. As Rawk laughed with the others, about something that Akiko had not heard, he noticed that Akiko was now quietly and peacefully sleeping. |
Udes walked back toward AKIKO. He looked at her and said something.
UDES:"Looks like your friend made it back !" AKIKO:"..." UDES:"Well i am going to go back to my room, see ya later, if fate ever bring us back togeter young lady !" UDES saluted her in a simple way. then turned around, looked at ARTHUS one last time with very suspicious eyes. he also looked at the wolfman. In a way, UDES couldn't help it but to think She might be safer in her friend hands rather then his. He started to walk down the alley toward the inn. [A few minute later] Udes climbed up the stairs and entered his room. he threw his sword on the bed then sat as well. He thought for a few minutes more about the previous events. Seems lke he didn't had a good conversation for a while. He actualy couldn't remember during the travels he did how many time did he actually spoke to someone who didn't care for what he was. Could have it been because he had finally found a friend ? UDES:"Naaaah" He took a little wooden shard from his bag and started to Sharpen his wooden blade. As he was sharpening it, the blade started to glow a little weiry green. The sword regained all its strenght, even tho he hadn't used it for a while, he had to sharpen it a few times per week ! a few minute later he took the sword and place it back in its sheath then placed under his bed as well as his armor and pads. he tryed sleeping until the sun rises again... but he couldn't do it... something was troubling him and he couldn't sleep because of it ! UDES:"Man, why cannot i sleep well tonight ? that girl seemed not to care about what hapenned besides her aqnd yet she had saved that fox from the crowd. she also didn't seemed to know much of the world yet she has lived many years already ! The elders used to tell of stories about the worlds when i was young. and my father used to..." Udes stopped spekaing to himself, for he remembered what he there for. he standed up and walked toward the window and looked thru it, looking at the stars and wondered. UDES:"Father... hope you are still alive and well, i just hope my village is still there waiting for my return... maybe i shall had return much sooner ! what if he died waiting for me to return, what if i hadn't ran away ! maybe he needed me back then and i wasn't there for him ! just lke i couldn't save my mother..." Udes tears started to show themselves. he couldn'T help it but to remember his mothers death and how she sacrificed herself for him. neither could he remove the tought that his father could be dead by now ! UDEs looked back thru the horinzon until he saw a shooting star falling off the sky ! UDES:"A shooting star..." UDES:{I wish... i wish my father would still be alive somewhere} Udes turned away from the windowbut heard a little something hapenning down in the street... TO BE CONTINUED... |

sometimes he looked at the group near the door then looking back to his scroll. While he looked he decided that staying at that spot was just not a good place to stay. So he left his spot and took refuge on the wall. As it was dark, it was hard for anyone to see him as he wore black thus abling him to hide easily. As he hided himself, his eyes illuminated themselves in a red glow and he smiled.

Udes left Arthus and Rawk with a sleepy Akiko. They were looking at each other to know who will be the first to speak. Rawk took the blanket and covered Akiko. When he looked back at Arthus he saw him climbing the wall.
Rawk:"Where are you going?" Arthus:"Promise me that you'll take good care of her!!!" Rawk:"Don't worry, she'll be ok with me." Arthus:"I'm glad to hear that! Now I gotta go, that's good to see people after all these years but there are to many questions that still unanswered. I hope we will see again soon!!! Farewell my friends... Goodbye!" He jumped out of the wall and flew to the north searching for the inn that Udes talked about. Arthus:"Before I go I have to say goodbye to Udes. He'll probably refuse to see me... I don't understand why he is so afraid of other people? Perhaps it's... From the sky, Arthus saw a strange red light comming from an alley. Curious... he landed on a roof to look closer. For the first time, he thanked Cyrus because his new vision allowed him to see in the dark. The light was apparently eyes... no reassuring he thought. It was a man standing in the dark wearing a black costume. Suddenly, the man looked at Arthus and his eyes glowed red. A strange feeling emerged from Arthus, a feeling that brings him back a lot of memory. Arthus:"Who is this guy.............I saw him before but where??? One thing for sure, he doesn't look friendly... Now I got it, this bastard helped my brother 100 years ago!!! How could he be alived and what is he doing here??? To many questions, this isn't good... I gotta warned the others before something happen..." TO BE CONTINUED... |
