ppl are always telling me in the game that i should start this cuz im always telling them how to repair and manage files, doc, app, ect on their comp. so if u have any computer trouble ask away and i'll try my best to help
|
ummm....sumtimes when i play xmvssf, i always have an error...it said sumthing about oleaut32.dll or mshtml.dll...there is a problem with that...u kno whats the problem?
|
ok...
first of all we need the complete ERROR MESSAGE to actually help you right ! for now, all i can do is give general solution that can solves the problem, but the chance of sucess are slim cause i din't know exactly what is the ERROR MESSAGE ! do a screen shot of it next time ! - first when it happens, hold ALT then press PRNT SCRN - second open up your favorite PAINT PROGRAM then PASTE de thing. (EDITION / PASTE) then host it off and show it, or simply look at it and tell it to us, exactly what it says then we'll be able to help ! here is some genreric solution from what you told us... 1 - the program is generating an internal error in the program... probablyt INTERNET EXPLORER... so look if its up to date... IE version 6.0 and up ! if it isn't then go onto WINDOWS UPDATE then update it ! can solves the problem ! 2 - it could also be a program that made it fliped, in that case, just UNISTALL the programs that you installed after it started to do the error ! 3 - could be a problem with MACROMEDIA... IE (the game) so look if your up to date with macromedia ! 4 - you could use this last resort, FORMAT / REINSTALL... the last option is to be considered as it solves many many problems ! but do not try it if you're not capable of formating and installing windows ! can be bad for you or your computer ! that's about it ! |
sumtimes the screen turn blue and it says dis: A fatal exception OE has occured at 003C005338 in VXD VMM(01)+0000 4388

white screen a little bigger thangames window?
if so either (a) get the update from microsofts homepage (b) what i do is wait a few seconds before actually going into the server |
I'm at a uni using the computes, the connection is broadband yet I can't seem to connect to any of the servers, I have tryed all the options out and still can't connect, is it cause I'm in oz or something?
|
you mean company/ network computer? they may have a firewall. click im behind a firewall under the options or disable the firewall. just don't forget to enable when u r done playing. if u wanna know how disable/enable it tell me what kind of firewall ur behind.

in a company, a lot of NETWORK things can come into play... unless you can have ADMIN ACCESS to the machine. many things will stop you from installing, playing, uninstalling, things on the machine ! nothing can be done, except perhaps asking your network manager to see if he can do something about it ! other then that... it can also be a firewall that stop you from playing... what i mean is that if the firewall is not on the computer you are playing with, then he is in the router that is passing the internet to the whole network... if thats the case, then nothing can be done about it. unless the MANAGER of the network does change it so you can play ! in any case, refer to your network manager to get this thing working, cause if its on a LAN network... nothing can be done by you as normal user. |
Thanx.
If it helps, when I download the game and try to play it it can't verify my login, but when I goto mirror1 I can log in a practise but can't go to the chat... :( |
[quote:post_uid0="Neo_genic"]Thanx.
If it helps, when I download the game and try to play it it can't verify my login, but when I goto mirror1 I can log in a practise but can't go to the chat... :(
well i've been out a wack lately so im probably not answering to the best of my ability. but if ur dad or the owner of the comp allows you 2 you can bypass their network settings. all u need to know is ur home username and PW, and u'll log in and connect as if u were at ur home computer. i do this all the time. write back if it works. PS yea the d/l version always does this |
[quote:post_uid0="Neo_genic"]Thanx.
If it helps, when I download the game and try to play it it can't verify my login, but when I goto mirror1 I can log in a practise but can't go to the chat... :(
exactly what i said... its a firewall ! ** FIREWALL DESCRIPTION ** a firewall is an INTERNET DATA BOUNCER, which open the door to the data that can enter on a certain PORT while closing doors to those who aren't suppose to enter by another PORT then those mentionned ! for a fact... port 21 and 80 are generally open, or you wouldn,t even receive internet on your machine ! it would be refused ! now, the router as an internal firewall, so that firewall is setted by the network manager. unless you can know which port are opens, i suggest you play on port 80 ! but that means you'll have to host a game everytimes ! because you won't be able to play against those on others ports then yours ! try this... go to... - OPTIONS - NETWORK - in "USE PORT" type in 80 instead of the usual 1626 - check OLD CONNECTION MODE (FOR FIREWALL) then try again ! if it doesn't work, then i'm afraid there is nothing you can do to play, unless the NETWORK MANAGER open you the 1626 PORT ! basically, you can't play cause the firewall blocks every ports that the game uses ! which means, internet play is unavaillable, but options, practice and thing that aren't net play are availlable as they are on your machine ! try that solution and like i said, if it doesn't work, then its just too bad for you ! unless you know the NETWORK MANAGER. EDIT: PANDA_MAN: bypassing the network won't do any good as he'll even lose his internet connection by doing this. if he is in a NETWORK like schools or companies, then forget it, they pass by a router and if the router is set to something, then unless he can change those settings (which requires an admin access) then he will forced to deal with the router manually, the only way to by pass the router is by passing thru the firewall by changing on which ports he wants the data to pass thru, but method works half of the time ! that's mainly the best he can do ! ummm...do u know y suddenly the speed of the xmvssf (online) game runs SUPER slow??? ???
|
the servers or the game
if its the servers then its cuz too much information is having to be processed and sent throguh and stuff like that for it all to be done at one time if its the game then its LAG. |
i think itz da game coz even when i go to praktice it still runs SUPER slow!!!
|
[quote:post_uid0="azn_boi35"]i think itz da game coz even when i go to praktice it still runs SUPER slow!!!
o that's right, you can't play on-line or go to the servers. in that case, its the computer. there is not enoguh memory to actually run the game at full speed. if use up enough memory, say a little over half, your comp will start to see side affects like the loss of RAM and not being able to run at full speed. if u use up... say 95% of your memory, your comp can start crashing, run extremely slow, or stop running completely. ask the owner if u can free up some, by doing stuff like freeing up old docs and uninstalling corrupt or useless software. |
i have another question....sumtimes when i restart tha pc and turn it on again sumtimes it says dis message : windows protection error while instilizing device CONFIGMG....or sumthing like that...or sumtimes it says that i have to change the STACKS in the config.sys file...or sumtimes the screen turns black and theres a lil line on the top corner of the screen and stays like that...whats the problem??

just go into the C: drive at the root... then find CONFIG.SYS and openit with notepad, if it doesn't appear then you'll have to make the file appear. it is hidden because its a vital file for the machine ! anyway... shouldn't be invisible tho. just go in there and delete the STACK line ! should fix the problem ! the stack line is for DOS, since you have windows installed, it shouldn't be there at all ! with the many problems you have, i would recommend going to a STORE near you that can FORMAT/REINSTALL the system ! with a CLEAN SYSTEM, everything should be going well. |

hmmmmmm not entirely sure. you don't leave diskettes in the drive when shut down the comp do you? if so theres your problem. or if CANNOT under any circumstance get in under normal mode, when you restart the reboot (that has a ring to it  ) click on safe mode and/or run nortan antivirus or mcafee or wut ever antivirus you have. YOU DO HAVE AN ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM, DON'T YOU. if not, GET ONE. o and make a bootdisk. can't remeber how too though. *cough* *cough* erm.... karma? sry karma and me posted at the same time...you can format it yourself. just make sure you have ALL of the software the comp came with. especially the windows 3.21/95/98/me/2k/XP cd...i just named all the windows you could possibly have and still be able to support the game (or even have internet capabilities) look for those titles. YOU WILL NEED THEM TO install windows. and make sure to get the CD CODE key (if there is one) and registration code key. ask karma how to format it cuz i forgot how too. in the back of my head it tells me to go to RUN under start and type in format.... can't seem to remember clearly still though |

ReInstalling windows is good only when you got VERY IMPORTANT files to bring back, maybe because they were deleted...
to have a clean machine... you must FORMAT the whole hard drive, then INSTALL back windows ! only then will you have a clean machine... if its still those everything after you just formatted, then its either you are missing DIRECTX 8.1 who is absolutely necessary to run the game... or your computer is really one messed up computer, in that case, all i can consider for you... is you buying a new one ! as for the virus... yeah, it could be it... be i surely doubt it is ! never heard of a virus who make those ! as for the last problem... Quote:
in case of the computer RADOMLY working/not working then it is or your MEMORY (yeah, broken rams cause that kind of problem) or it is your CPU who is running higher then it is suppose to ! in a case of the CPU, we are talking about OVER-HEATING. can also be your VIDEO card with the very same problem ! BAD RAM or OVER-HEATING. just look for it all... but if you wanna be sure of everything... type in the complete messages it is telling you... we'll try to fix things up from there ! |
karma i know a guy who can make just about any kind of virus. he has made one that actually cuts the power from air intake fans and causes so much internal heating that it literally causes the insides to melt.
|
never said it didn't existed PANDA... just said i was doubting it was a virus cause i never saw one on the internet or ever heard of a virus that does that... no programmers have had the guts of going that deep in VIRUS creation !
i am not saying making it, i am saying infecting peoples with it ! all the viruses for now, have all been doing thigns like ####### up windows or giving out your info to others or making em take control of your comp. none of the virus in history actually harmed the computers harddrives or other hardwares ! so i doubt it is an HARDWARE virus ! or he wouldn't the only one with that problem ! for now, unless he gives us the complete message that the error gives, i cannot help him ! |
yo do any of u guyz know how 2 stop the muthafukin pop-upz!!!!!!!
|
no, there is no way...
well, you can deactivate JAVASCRIPT which will eliminate half of them... but other then that, you can't do that ! maybe a POPUP KILLER software could work, but i never tryed those ! you're on your own for that. SORRY ! |
its cool man no worries ..i figured it out anywayz...i pressed ctrl+alt+del and closed all the programs that were running except for explorer..thanks anyway :D

OLEAUT32.dll
OLE = kind of special windows made for special kind of operation, like drawing pictures and things like that. AUT = don't know what that mean... 32 = 32bits .DLL = DYNAMIC LINK LIBRARY so basically, it has to do with shockwave, if its what you're using ! best thing to try right now... - go onto a web site that uses MACROMEDIA SHOCKWAVE, other then this game... example: www.x-men-the-movie.com... the site is enterely made with it. surf for a while... and see if it ever happen again... if it does, try deinstalling SHOCKWAVE... and reinstall it ! it it doesn't work either... update your internet explorer... if it's already updated, then reinstall internet explorer ! if none of the above works... you're done for ! you'll have to format and reinstall the whole computer ! why is that ? because its windows who is fliped up... (too much installation and deinstallation) once you install a program it modifies certain DLLs or other important files. once those are modified, there is no way in converting them back to normal. and at certain point, windows will have problems with those files. only solution to that problem, is formatting the WINDOWS PARTITION ( generaly C: ) and reinstall the OS ! this has nothing to have with SHOCKWAVE or other programs... if it gives you that error, then your internet EXPLORER is all messed up ! solution are like the above ! deinstall/reinstall the software (I.Explorer) this is a MICOROSFT dialog, that ask you if the error that showed up, is critical enough for you to ask support from microsoft. it isn't really an ERROR message ! its just a way for em to find the bugs and fix them in a later update ! |
and i have another problem...here is a pic:
http://www.boomspeed.com/azn_boi35t/error4.gif when i press ok, it restarts my pc and then theres a blue screen that says that they put a backup up file to fix the problem but the message still comes bakk... and here'z a problem of kazaa: http://www.boomspeed.com/azn_boi35t/kazaa-error.gif it always does dat when i open kazaa... |
whew !
you got so many problems in your computer ! best solution for you is really formatting and reinstalling everything ! a clean windows will be better then trying to correct all those. it work as this... - clean windows (just him installed) - you installed other software who started to change some files. - those files are changed by others software laterly installed - those files are starting to corrupt cause they have changed too much - software uses one of these files... - the software ask a special function in the file, but the file isn't working the same - the files causes an error and the program closes ! see, its all a big stair, or if you prefer, its been a very very very long time since you cleaned your computer and now it is poopting in your hands ! the only solution to be sure everything works fine, is to format and install windows again. sorry dude ! |

actually, there is a patch from microsoft.com to fix this one up. just click on send error report and it should tell you what patch. this used to happen all the time when i played the game o and azn just download an internet explorer from microsoft.com and install it... |
azn_boi: have you ever tryed starting a SCANDISK and see if your HD isn't defect ?
cause after formatting, the only thing that can make your comp do things like that, are simply the windows who can be corrupted, try installing one of your friend, not yours... or it could be your HD who has a BAD SECTOR and that sector is at the start, which make your windows go crazy and gives you a lot of problems ! verify your HD cause its the only thing remaining, if its not your HD then you gotta have to buy another computer ! |
