so you're telling me that H

blanka09 10-24-2003 12:01 PM

*sigh*.. didn't expect all that...
Well SSJKarma.. I can't say I know all about chemistry or anything.. but I think after 2 semesters of General Chem 1 & 2, I think I do know what I'm talking about when I say... hydrogenating one macromolecule of fat (base content of Margarine) producing a substance.. containing the base content of plastic is really scary..
Adding hydrogen would definitely change a substance and plastic doesn't look like Margarine... I know.
But breaking down molecular form, you'll see that it's just a molecule of Hydrogen away from regular margarine.. plastic of course...
Now if you place ur mind on the physical structure of plastic and then look at margarine you'll surely think they're far from each other... But break it down molecularly.. well it's a different story..
I think I'll do a little more research and give you the news in detail..
for example.. just look at Water and Hydrogen Peroxide.. You'll notice that unless H2O2 is placed on ur injuries, you wouldn't know it's just an extra Oxygen of Water.. so you see.. that's what makes plastic and Margarine close! an extra atom of Oxygen.. But I must tell you that after reading Nosoul's topic, I do think all of you should avoid Margarine and foods that have partially hydrogenated oils in them...
Once again you see that margarine is just hydrogenated oil and plastic well.. just read this..

"To hydrogenate, natural oils are heated under pressure for six to eight hours at 248-410

Dang Blanka that is long. I read from "the Cube.. and down. I'm just in Biology but i sort of get it. And again I go eww.

KARMA: H2 is not water it's hydrogen and for water it's 2 oxygen and 1 hydrogen. And as for us not having hydrogen it's sort of the same as carbon. It's needed for every organtic material and there is more organtic material then inorgantic...I think...I don't know.

karma you are stupid I will only say it this last time

Im sure everyone can see it...

you should really grow a brain because you post like you only have about 1/1000th of your brain

im not even going to leave anymore messages here fo ryou to read because it is pointless mainly because you seem to not understand anything I post 10 years older or not...your still a moron...

and yes as a matter of fact I DO know what sarcasm is...and you are a retard for thinking I wouldent by the way where did sarcasm come from? how did you even think that up?

sarcasm had nothing to do with this at all...bah maybe you should go back to school

(duhhh im karma hahaha I think I know everything I have a IQ of -4 and I pee sitting down duhhhh........where is my puke bag:^* hahaha its a pukeing smily HAHAHAHAHA)

Screw probation--tell me why I shouldnt ban your ass right this instant...youve gone WAY too far...

Having said all that..
One must come to the conclusion that even though Margarine and plastic are closely related in their structure... one molecule of hydrogen that is added does a whole lotta change and that's what causes the whole change from margarine to Plastic

viper2040 10-24-2003 01:39 PM

by your logic...
dont drink water, cause its only one oxygen atom away from the highly explosive substance Hydrogen peroxide (yes, it IS explosive) and it could change to H2O2 at any moment--theres oxygen all around us!

and as for oxygen(molecule --O2), why, thats only one oxygen atom from being Ozone, a fresh smelling but poisonous gas!`

you know how hard it would be to turn water into H2O2? you dont just "add" an atom. ever wondered why water isnt highly explosive? i mean, think about it...its got hydrogen, and its got oxygen...
its cause its HIGHLY stable--you ainto gonna break the molecular bonds, so no reaction takes place (further, combustion PRODUCES water)

in anycase, one atom makes a WORLD of difference

Li is a metal which bursts into flame on contact with water
LiO2 (or is it Li2O?) is an antidepressant
theyre totally different

also, that experiment with the margerine? try it with butter
butter needs no refrigeration...
as for fungus, it likes sugar and carbos, neither of which margerine has. flies need blood, meat, sugar, or carbos. margerine aint gonna have what insects want. But humans are much more complex, so we can handle the crap

as for you ssj2trunks, you crossed the line. This may sound like im takin ssjkarmas side, but in reality, calling him stupid or saying he doesnt know what hes talking about pisses me off. There have been many times that we have disagreed, but i cannot say that he doesnt know what hes talking about

Further, flaming is against the rules. Probation. Watch it next time.

EDIT: just read the rest of your post, ssjtrunks...you got a day to tell me why i shouldnt ban you...

SSJKarma 10-24-2003 03:56 PM

wow, someone actually understood what i meant by one atom makes a lot of difference ! and they say I don'T know my poop !

elena, just to correct you a little...
its not one HYDROGEN and TWO OXYGEN that makes water, but the contrary !

its two hydrogen and one oxygen !
just so you know !

Elena 10-24-2003 03:59 PM

Let the begging begin.

Trunks you didn't have to say that just because you don't see eye to eye. Yes, sometimes ppl don't listen but who doesn't. ppl only hear what they want to hear. But what i don't get is y you called karma stupid he's probably one of the smartest ppl on here.

Viper: We obviosly(misspelt) can't handle it if it rasies the stakes of women having breast cancer.

EDIT:
Karma: NO it's 2oxygen that is y you never see oxygen by itself it can't stay by itself. Trust me karma we just learned this if you don't i would love to prove it to you.

nah actually KArma is right.........it's 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen....... the only way I can prove it is by tellin U like this

when a molecule as a lil number after it(like O2) it means there's two of the molecual stuck together.......when it's before it( like 2 O) that means there's two of them but not together. Now the formula of whatever is H2O) and the 2 is small..........so it means that it has two hydrogen and 1 oxygen..........trust me I've just done this......... so I know it

edit: and to had an lil'info, Oxygen is O alone.........when it's O2, it's called dioxygen(not sure if it's spelled like that in english but it must be close)

second edit: thanks for the info Nosoul, I'll make sure we only buy butter here now
