I understand that the game has drastically changed, which is one reason why I made this topic, to compare eras of different months and years. Now I'm not saying that 2001 0wNzOrS j00!!!1111. It may have been a long time ago, but we tried to learn strategies everyday, which strategies would work and which didn't. it seems that people today aren't doing that so much, even though there are more guides, there is less strategy conversation. I used to be on the chats discussing with other people about "advanced" Ryu strategies, believe it or not, it was more than hadouken into super.

2001 also had the will to be the best, which meant people would challenge stronger fighters and even if they kept losing, they got better (Fear-Tetsuo for example). 2004 has this, but it's not mainstream enough and it's a hassle just to get into a fight. People fight for rank now more than they do to be the best. Maybe it's because of the lack of quality tournaments, but if you constantly battle something that's better than you, it will make you even better than fighting for rank. Beating a ####ie who can only punch and kick or only knows basic strategies won't get you much better, it might even regress your skill, but facing a challenge will improve your confidence and witts.

Fear-Tetsuo in my opinion was the best fighter to play the game. Everyone might disagree right now just because they only have fought him when he came back his few little times. but if they were to fight him before, they would know how great he was. Some right now even make their own b/s history v.s. fear-tetsuo just because of jealousy of how good he turned out to be. I rank fear-tetsuo in 1st and TarkanX 2nd best to play the game.

but if you put TarkanX success all in one together. Then obvious he is in the top.

Since i started the game at the end of 2002, i guess i'll pick a month in 2003... hmm... lets go for November 2003 since i believe i was pretty damn good at this time. In No particular order, and not including duze

1. asrbwettaw - I believe him to be the best all time, only person at this point in time i had troubles beating.
2. RyusRevenge - At about this time, Revenge and I were about the same skill level, we trained together, teamed together.. and he was pretty damn good.
3. Doomtrain - At this time i thought he was a tuff opponent
4. DcMax - good ryu user
5. Tidus42 - he was good ryu user at this time
6. kayCEE - he had a great sentinel
7. illfusion - gave me good ryu games
8. TAKEOVER - his sent and ryu were really good..
9. -dark hado- - good ryu user
10. (x-f)Xavier - good ryu user
11. Resident Evil - good user in general
12. Fighter 001 - knows how to pull off wins for clan battles
13. Dark Masta - good chun
14. Maori Legend - good sent
15. And1 - great ryu
16. Da Vipa - great ryu
17. Blanka 09 - good spidey
18. Hollis - good spidey and ryu
19. Sbyrd5 - I dont think hes ever beaten me ryu vs ryu one on one. but hes a cool guy
20. Maximum carnage - one of the best spideys even tho i think they are fkin cheap
21. Batojitsu - same as max carnage
22. Tidus2k2 - his ryu was good
23. pip99 - i hear hes good
24. Tekkenkyo - had 2 good ryu fights with him
25. NoSoul4evr - always had good games with him... all close ones

[color=#FF0000]Be honest guys... you all say 2001 was better... yet all the prooves you seem to be giving is yourself ! which in all cases is biased unless you know that a person canno tbe good right int he start thus evolving little by little !

example, when i came in for the first time i was good at street fighters game, not an expert but definitely not an amature that could go down easily. yet when i joined this place every single member could easily wipe me out. thus even if i was from 2001, i wasn't a skilled fighter, skills dear friends, isn't something you had right int he start, you learned it and gained it little by little, maybe some of you got it faster then others, but many took a long time to get it !

i took 3 years to become the great fighter i am now.
i still didn't master ryu, i still don't know how much wolver

[color=#000000]The first thing i noticed where the top ranks when i joined the game, Italy and morpheusX used to battle between rank 1/2, as I grew to be a better fighter these are who i noticed to be good:

1. asrbwettaw- best fighter of
