Musicians-actors - The crossover?

Does anyone think that Musicians and acting mix well together.. Or has it just been blown way out of proportion..

The most decent by far that Ive noticed was DMX he has a chain of movies that he has starred in. They didnt do very well in the BOX office but DMX is very resilient with his acting..

but lately he ran into a little trouble with the law.. I hope they dont slow him from his future goals of making more movies..

Maybe in the near future X will give it to us.. ???

Dont be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in da hood. Even the title is funny did u see it on T.V today? I notice it was on but nah man u need to buy and see the real version next to white chicks that is the funniest shiznit the Wayne brothers EVER did.

Ice cube, he was ok in Friday and babershop but Torgue nope he was awful!

And of course da State property moive cheers to da Roc! You have to see it Benie was a hot actor in the movie, but damon Dash was like a bitch in the whole movie. And tell me how they had my nig Jay-Z in only like 3 scenes and in every one he was sitting in the car talking to Damon or on the phone with him.

hey dont get me wrong i enjoy rap as much as the next person, but i would prefer to have experienced actors on the big screen rather than some pushover who thinks they can do everything just becuase they have a bit of popularity up their sleeve.

Icecube all his friday movies were hot, and method and Red had a funny movie plus them niggaz got thier own T.V show. And of course my boys Dr. Dre and Snoop dogg. Cant say all rapper are trashy at acting.

In no way am i dissing rappers by calling them bad actors, but thats just it...Theyre bad actors.
Now will smith. At least hes had alot of experience. His rapping is what he was known for less.
Method man and redman are terrible actors. I saw how high. It was funny once, but i never laughed again. It makes me wonder how they got their own tv sitcom. Though im pretty sure that wont last long.
Dr. Dre is another example of a good rapper/bad actor.
Snoop on the other hand is more rounded out. And is at times very convincing as an actor.
