Shockwave problem

ok...
I downloaded the latest shockwave version from the micromedia site...

Then the shockwave error 10 came up.
The directions from sfo says if this comes up I should installl shockwave 8.5.

I tried to install it but every time I try it says I have open browsers.

I closed all my programs included the hidden ones in task mangaer

I also tried to uninstall and reinstall it about 5 times now..
Nothing seems to be working any help ppl? ???

Get mozilla, that should stop it. You can get it here, (http://www.mozilla.org) BRODIEMAN had the same problem.

I installed the programe from the free download link..

I started the programe and my browser looks different.. but when I run the shockwave 8.5 instillation it dont work..

That is the same problem I had, no one knew how to fix it...everyone tried....but failed :( I still have that problem

i had that problem i ended up uninstalling all of internet explorer and then reinstalling it that fixed it i also had to complatley delete all the macromedia file from my comp that was the hardest part

in other words you completly rebooted your comp?

If thats the case I'll just wait till someone find other means to fix this problem

I rebooted my computer 3 times and did what they said i keep getting this PLAYER CAST error then my sfo freezes by shockewave and this happens everytime=/..

It happened to me once only and I jsut have to delete all the files and make new WindwXP:) Thne it work :)

I aint rebooting anymore i updated from 98 to 200 service pack 4 and i added extra ram and geforce 4 gaming card what more i need ..the error saying Internal Error player cast keeps showing up-_- shockwave which freezes my sfo
