View Full Version : Random opponent - Add a button/option somewhere

I had an idea.

Change the Quick Game button into a Random Match On/Off button.
I/E: makes it so you can connect to any available player. With out being "Denied". (no sync yes...deny match no)

When a player first enters a chat room.They enter under DND.

When a player turns on random match.They are matched up with the next available player that has their random match turned on as well.

If there are no other available players with their Random Match turned on. The user will be notified that,"There is currently no other players using Random Match, Would you like to wait for the next available player,Yes/No".
If they select yes...then they wait for another player. If they select no, it turns off the Random Match.
Players that are "waiting" for a random match can stop waiting,simply by shutting off the random match.

For players that are using Random Match.
At the end of every battle the players will be asked if they'd like to continue of not. If they choose yes,then they fight the same person. If they choose no,then they are returned to the chat room with Random Match still on.

When a player enters a chat room with the Random Match still on. There should be a 10 second delay before the player is then wisked away to battle again. This would give the player time to shut off the Random match,(i/e put them into DND),and give the servers time to "think" and set up the next match as well.

This way people who come here to fight,can do just that...fight. Without all the "problems" of our current Quick Game set up,of getting denied match after match after match.
Or people "hounding" other players relentlessly. And basicaly not have to wait around forever to get a fight.

For people who want to fight a specific player they can talk it out in the chat and use the host game option.

Yes i love this idea! Quick Match is still my fav mode...this would get rid of waiting all the time for ppl to fight...love this idea! :D

doh...i forgot to add a few other points to this idea.

For players that are using the Random Match,but fail to sync with their opponent....They would be returned to the main menu.

And lastly...Priority.
Who will be hosting the game when Random Match is turned on. This is determined by when the player entered the chat room,and/or when they activated Random Match.

For players that are actively using Random Match (i/e: turning it on, and/or leaving it on). They would be given a time stamp (wich can be disregarded. After the player enters battle) for every time they "hit" the RM program. The time stamp will tell the server who was next in line to host a game. (i/e: first come first serve.)

and dats about all i can think of at the moment.

Now that would be awsome, everyone who wants to fight, gets to fight automaticly. without anyone wimping out, if they do, they lose the match losing 10 point why the other gains a win. This should be put under way when someone gets time to do it. :music:

i think it's a great ideea that u can fight the minute u r in the game....and i was thinking of something....when u press join a game u should see how many players are in every game so u wont try to connect to a game and than realize u r an extra player.the number of the players who have joined a game should be placed in some brakets in the right side.
