First of, tell me the probability of kids here actually voting for Zangief. Will YOU vote for Zangief in the next poll ?? As far as I can remember, only a very few ppl vote for Zangief.

Besides, as we've been discussing for 2 years now, lag would be a very very horrible influence on grabbing. That's the main reason why the Shun goku satsu move is the way it is. Play the normal console/arcade games and you'd notice that Evil ryu or Akuma actually has to grab u to perform that move.

But here, TMyApp made it in such a way that completing the warp automatically starts the move. He'd have to work out some other thing with Zangief but pure grabs would be very hard to come by... trust me :biggrin:

it's kool. I get it know. I see it this way. What if your opponent moved? How would he grab the opponent if he wer on the other side of the field?

I think it's things like that which would deem it unlikely.

It's so crappy that TMyApp did not program any grabs on this Street Fighter Online game. :angry:
Raging Demon's a grab move and grabs cannot be blocked. But there isn't any grabs so Raging Demon just doesn't go right because it is possible for the computer to block Raging Demon (that is, if you do it too slow)!!!

I think that's why he made it stoppable by projectils and special attacks.

Exactly... and grabs take like 1 - 2.5 seconds to complete (talking about Zangief's special moves) ... and imagine a ping of 300... which would mean a lag of 0.3 seconds or a 300 milliseconds. In other words, you'll probably have to let ur opponent wait or stay where he is for about 2 - 3 seconds estimating the time of flight and motion of Zangief to be able to perform ONE successful grab move.

By my calculations, neither Ryu nor chunli nor wolverine nor Spiderman (especially Spiderman :biggrin: ) would wait for u for that amount of time to hurt them without jumping awayy. So either TMyApp pulls off something off his bag of tricks like the raging demon or shinryuken... or Zangief/grabbing are just dreams :biggrin:

That's the next thing i was thinking about...The waiting part.

If they did, it would be kinda like such time-altering like the matrix with the time it might take for the character to "grab" the opponent under the situations that blanka mentioned.

Think about it?

i believe cammy would rival that of wolverine since they both have no projectiles..... here cannon drill would be like sliding claw in the since that it could go UNDER most projectiles

her ummm hmm rising kick (upper cut kick) would be like kens uppercut (same properties of passing threough most profectiles)

her spinning back hand would pass through punches and kicks

her hobblegoblin (errr what ever its called) (she jumps at oppontent and balls up)

would be intersesting to implement in the game


the main drawback is that her throws are a major strength of hers.... sooo she would be at a disadvantage but man it would be sweet to have her in SFO



and as for the list of games that TMyApp imports sprites from that was mentioned earlier... u might want to check ur sorces on that bub. ur list is incorrect and incomplete.


and yes sbyrd5 chung-li is the only character with an alternate costume that can be brought into SFO with out it looking wack.

think that coverd the last 10 pages or so...
