alright.. the first thing u'r asking is WHY is this thread in the "New Features" section... well... quite simple... a lot of the VIP's don't have "forum vip accounts", and, i'm sure a ton of regular users will want to know about mCodes and custom outro messages.. so... let's just kill multiple Chun Li's with a single haduken (or in this case... this thread  )

first off, custom "outro messages" (ie: the text you see being said by the character of the winning player after the end of a match) are a VIP/NWO/Mod/Admin only feature (ie: you HAVE to be a VIP member, or a NWO/MOD/ADMIN in order to use it) ... will this change ?? maybe... but first off... let's see how this idea goes... and go from there...

alright, so how do "custom outro messages" work ?? quite simple really... u go to the "other" section of the "options" menu, put in your "text" and your "mCode" ... hit "save"... and u'r done... next time you beat someone, they will see your message...

if you want to get started, a number of ready-made messages and mCodes can be found in this thread of the forum:

http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/cgi-bin....;t=1643

but... what exactly are "mCodes" you say ?? ... well... in order to prevent crazy SFO players from making "unacceptable" outro messages.. the mCode system has been created... basically, the game will not accept your text... unless you have a valid mCode for it... and where do u get the mCodes ?? .. that's an easy one: any member of NWO or a Mod/Admin can generate one for you... BUT, that doesn't mean you can go around bugging and email them for mCodes 24/7 (that will probably get you banned  )

so.. u'r saying.. how does one "request" a custom mCode ?? ... simple.. just follow these easy steps:

1: come up with a good outro message that doesn't have profanity, or anything that others or us mods might find "offensive" ... make sure that it's between 5 and 80 characters long... and that it doesn't not have any weird/odd/non-standard characters in it and your quotation marks would be taken out so if you put them down as a sign of "I said this" we would just copy out the message to extract the mCode and leave out the quotation marks. If you want to mention your SFO fan site, that is fine... HOWEVER, other types of advertising will NOT be permitted... and, if you have a fan-site link that is extra long... we will not bother allowing that either

2: once you have your outro messages... pick 1-2 best ones (NO MORE THAN 2) .. and post... ONCE... in the proper thread of the forum (for now, that will be THIS thread) ... here is a sample post you can make:

I would like to have mCodes for the following two outro
messages:

i am the best, and i know how to prove it

roses are red, violets are blue, your Ryu sucks,
and so does my Sentinel

you can ONLY ask for a maxium of 2 mCodes PER week... (which means, you can ONLY post u'r requests here, in this thread... ONCE every week ... otherwise, don't be surprised if we start to ignore you.. and/or ban your account  )

3: then... you wait... (that means NOT post and bitch... but.. simply wait)... one of our semi-helpful mods will be happen to look over u'r post... at which point they will EDIT what you have typed... and if approved, they will provide you with a valid mCode(s) ... (this means, all you have to do is check back with this thread.. and look for your ONLY post .. to see if it has been edited with an answer by a NWO/Mod/Admin)

... if you want to say "thanks", then EDIT your post.... if you have a problem and like to complain ... EDIT your post... (ie: do NOT make another post... unless a week has passed... and u are making another post order to request a new set of mCodes)

does that make sense ?? i hope....

i admit... this is NOT the greatest system in the world to handle mCode request... but, this is the first time we are trying this... so... let's give it a shot... and see what happens...

last.. if you want to comment on the above, use this thread !!! ... i'm saying this again.... ONLY post here if you are a VIP member with a valid VIP forum account (if you do not have one, email vip@streetfighteronline.com with your vip login/pass/email)... and you are here posting to request custom mCodes... while following the rules described above... (repeating that more than once since i know how some users don't' like to read)

.. and.. there you have it....

On a side note, For those of you having problems with your mcodes, please be patient we'll try and get them fixed as soon as possible... and next time, please try and make ur outro messages simple.. without percentages or other ascii characters. Do not number them for the sake of simplicity.. we'll handle them nicely if you just write them in two well spaced separate lines

For future reference please do NOT reply to this topic if you're not a VIP.. or do NOT have a VIP forum account. If you're a VIP in the game and have proof, send an email to vip@streetfighteronline.com and one will be created for you.

Finally... please do NOT im or pm the moderators to give you mcodes or remind them. This will only reduce the chances of getting ur mcodes on time.
